Daily Prayer for April 28th
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
As we gather today, I know there are many wondering if their pain will end. They wonder if they will ever feel whole again. Some wonder if they will ever feel anything at all as they have felt just numb and empty. Father, no matter what the cause, pain is pain, loss is loss. Many people try to judge one pain over the other. Many losses bring other losses with them like a domino effect. Some people have less coping skills, for many reasons… others have a life time of losses and grief piled up inside, that no one else knows about or sees and so what may seem as a small thing that has sent them into a spiral, was actually the straw that broke the camels back. Help us not to compare, but to have compassion for each other, no matter what the other is going through. May we see through your eyes and love with your love in every area of our lives, Lord.
Lord, you promise to be near to the broken-hearted. You promise to bind our wounds. You promise to turn our mourning to joy. You are not a liar. Your promises are for yesterday, today and forever… and they are for each one of us. What you say you will do, you will do…but we must trust you and believe you and take you at your word. We also must take steps of faith and action steps that will allow you to work in our lives. We must be diligent to seek you in prayer and in your word. You desire fellowship with us. You don’t just take the pain away instantly, you use all things to work together for our good and that includes changing us into your image and drawing us closer to you. Grieving is not easy. It always lasts longer than we would like. None of us wants to hurt and unfortunately, the only way to heal from grief is to go through it… I know when we are in that dark pit or tunnel, so many just want to wake up in heaven to escape the pain…it just doesn’t seem like they can endure it and they don’t want to…God for those who are at that place now, I pray for your angels to be about them. I pray that they will feel your nearness and your presence and they will see a glimmer of hope…that they might remember that what we can’t do on our own, we can do with your help and you are right there with us through everything.
Father, there is just so much in this life that hurts and is hard…We don’t want to accept the way things are…we want things to go back to the way they were…help us Father, to accept the things we can’t change. Help us to realize that people make choices that we have no control over…even when they affect our lives…But you are our loving Father, and even if we find ourselves at places that are not of our choosing, you still make a way. You still have a good plan for us and even though we are on a different path that what we pictured for ourselves, it will lead to something good, because you promise, Lord. Even in death and loss and disease and heartache, you are still good and you will never leave us or forsake us.
Father, for every aching heart. For every person longing to hold a loved one and can’t. For every person who is walking around feeling like they are missing part of them…For everyone that wonder if this is all there is…I pray for your Holy Spirit to fall afresh on them. I pray they will find hope in you. I pray they will trust you for their healing. You will walk them through the dark valley and watch over them like a loving Shepherd. You will take them to the still waters where they will drink of the Living Water that will refresh and replenish their dry, parched spirit and soul. You will lead them to green pastures…to the land of the living. You promise, Lord and you will not fail us. May they find the strength to trust you with their pain. May they find the courage to take one day at a time…and let that be good enough. May they dare to reach out their hand in the dark and say “I will trust you Lord…I don’t see a way, but I will trust that you do”. Father, I pray for peace in their storms. I pray that they will trust in what they can’t see, because they know who you are…you are the lover of their souls that grieves along with them and you have invested everything in each one of us, so they can live life abundantly… filled with your amazing grace. Bless and anoint each one now Father and we give you praise and glory for what you are going to do. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen
Blessings be upon you all!
You are so loved!
