Prayer For Oct. 22nd

October 21, 2019

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this new day. Help us to be able to rejoice in all things this day.  In our humanness, it is often our first instinct to complain rather than praise. We tend to focus on all that is wrong, instead of all that is right. May we learn from the examples of others who have gone before us…both good and bad. When Moses and your people wandered in the desert, they had you leading them by a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. They had tangible signs of your presence. They saw miracle after miracle performed by you, and yet they grumbled, doubted, and were ungrateful. They saw the Red Sea part to save them. You provided manna to feed them…for forty years. They saw the plagues that you called down on Egypt. They saw you doing mighty works all around them, and yet they were not humbled, grateful, or obedient. May our hearts and lives be right before you, so we can hear you say, “well done, good and faithful servants.”

Please help us to remember your deeds of the past and your promises for the future. Help us to be obedient and to live with an attitude of gratitude and with a spirit that honors you. We may not see miracles like the sea parting, fire, and clouds guiding us, or manna appearing to feed us, but you do show us in so many ways that you are with us.  Help us not to dwell on all the things that could be better…help us to be grateful for all the things that could be worse, but aren’t. Help us to be content in all things. May our hearts grow softer instead of harder with tribulation. Help us to be grateful for each breath we take and each beat of our hearts.

You are the same yesterday, today, and forever and what you did in the past, you still do today. You sustain your children one day at a time, and you promise to take care of us. You promise to give us your grace, strength, and power. You promise to lead and guide us and to provide all that we need. Help us to trust and claim your promises. We thank you for our many blessings and for your faithfulness. We thank you for all you’ve seen us through, and we thank you in advance for all you have yet to do on our behalf. May we glorify you and serve you well this day. With humble, grateful hearts, we thank you that we can ask these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.

May your day be peaceful, and your hearts be at rest, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Oct. 21st

October 21, 2019

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Your ways are not our ways. Your thoughts are above our thoughts. Many people look at the outward appearance, but you look at our hearts. At times we can feel lost and unimportant…inferior…like no one cares…that our lives don’t matter. Please help us to keep working on figuring out who we are in you. May our sense of self-worth come only from what you think of us. May our validation come from being your child and not what we look like,  our financial status, our social status, our health status, our relationship status, or our level of education.

You love us and care enough about us that you sent Jesus to die in our place. May your confidence in us, and your love for us heal our hurts and wounds. Heal us and restore in us a proper attitude. Help us to remember…every trial, all of our pain, and all of our losses and disappointments are being used to make us more like Jesus. You are using everything we have gone through to refine us into Christ’s image. What we see as battle scars and imperfections, you see as beauty marks, just as Christ’s scars are signs of His great love for us.

We pray for those who have hurt us and damaged us. We lift up those who bully, torment, and make fun of others. We lift up those who are verbally abusive…those who lie and slander…those who condemn and judge and those who are superficial and condescending. You tell us to pray for others. To pray for those who persecute us. To pray for our enemies. To be full of compassion, grace, and mercy. Sometimes it’s hard to do that, but we know the people who do these things need to know you. They need to experience your grace and be filled with your love. Help us to forgive and extend the same grace that you show us.

Please help us to spread your love. Help us to reach out with kind words and acts of kindness and compassion. Help us to be your hands and feet and to do the right things, even if others don’t. Help us to be known as encouragers. Help us to lift and build up those around us. Pour yourself into us, so we can pour into the lives of others. Help us not to grow hard, bitter, or cynical. Help us to not retreat into ourselves when we have been treated harshly or unkindly. Help us to overcome and heal, so we don’t make the harsh words of others be the inner voice we listen to above yours. Be glorified in us, Lord, that others may see you in us. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen

May God blessings shine upon you, friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For Oct. 20th

October 20, 2019

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Sometimes the storms of life just really take a toll on us. When we get hit with one thing after another, it feels like we’ve been pounded by wave after wave in a nightmarish storm. Just when we think we can stand and can get back safely to shore, another wave comes and knocks us off of our feet again. When life is hard, and the trials are unrelenting, please help us to remember who you are and whose we are.

You are our Mighty God who saves. You are our Savior who walks on water, and the winds and waves obey you. You can speak peace into the storms around us and the storms within us. There is nothing that can triumph against us because you have won the victory for us. You are our Wonderful Counselor. Your words speak healing, truth, and wisdom into our lives. You are the Light of the World and our Shepherd. When we are in darkness, you light our way. You lead, guide, nurture, and protect us, just as a shepherd leads his sheep. You will not let go of us, your eye is always upon us. You are the Author and Finisher of our faith. The good work that you have begun in us, you will complete in us, and nothing will stop what you have ordained. You are the Resurrection and the Life. You have overcome the evil one, defeated death, and saved us. There is nothing greater or more powerful than you. Help us cling to these truths about who you are, all you’ve done and all you promise to do. May these truths remind us of all the promises that you have given us…all you have made possible for us…all you have equipped us with.

Please go before us this day. Please lift us from the miry pits we find ourselves in. May faith, trust, and peace replace any fear, dread, and anxiety. May the comfort you wrap around us ease our sadness. Please restore the shattered pieces of our hearts and lives. Renew a right spirit within us so we can go forth this day with joy in our hearts and peace in our souls. We reach out to touch the hem of your garment to receive all that we need to face what’s before us.  Thank you for your mercy and grace that is new this day and is enough to sustain us. You are holy and mighty and so worthy of being praised.   In the name of above all names, in the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

May you feel His comforting nearness today, friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For Oct. 19th

October 19, 2019

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Our Father,

Too often we rush through our days…we’re often overworked, too preoccupied, too stressed, or too sad to gaze out at the signs that you’ve placed all around to let us know that you are with us. Today, may we make a conscious effort to see signs of your nearness. Help us to hear your voice in the midst of all that we are dealing with and going through. Help us to rise up and greet the day with hope in our hearts because Christ lives.
Help us to surrender our burdens to you, our Burden Bearer. Help us to keep our thoughts focused on you, our Problem Solver, and not our problems…that sounds so easy to do, but you know how hard it is for us to do, Father. We can only truly give everything to you with your supernatural help. Please help us to walk in your freedom and with your peace in our hearts. Please refresh and revive us and fill us with your Holy Spirit today. We ask for your help and divine intervention for the things that are coming against us. Please grant us favor and mercy and protect us from the schemes of the adversary. Please be our Way-Maker and help us to navigate safely through the storms we are going through. Please grant us your wisdom for the decisions we face and all the situations that need to be dealt with. Please speak to us today and encourage those who need to be lifted up.  For those who are struggling to hold on and they don’t see a way forward, please show them how to live in this moment…just for this day… one hour at a time with Jesus’ power and strength. Thank you for knowing in advance all of our needs and for promising to provide. Thank you for your faithfulness, your goodness and kindness, and for all that you do on our behalf. In the name above all names, we pray, Amen.

May His joy be your strength today, friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie Kay

Prayer For Oct. 18th

October 18, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for seeing us through this week. Thank you for your protection and provision. Thank you for being the source of our help and strength. Thank you for walking with us all of our days and guiding us in your wisdom and truth.

Father, please help us to not get caught up in the traps the enemy lays for us. He longs for us to be unhappy with our lot in life. He wants us to get caught in the snares of discontent and comparison. He tries to plant prideful thoughts that we deserve better, that we are better, that we deserve more, that things aren’t fair, that we are missing out… these thoughts erode our confidence in your timing, your will, and what you think is best for us.

We can see in the Bible stories of people who missed out on your blessings and your best because they were disgruntled. They didn’t like the way you did things or the timing in which you did things. They were so close to walking through a door of blessing that you provided, but because they were impatient and disobedient, they missed out on what you had for them. Please help us to have humble hearts that seek your will above our own. Help us to not compare ourselves to anyone else. Help us to learn to be content in all things so we might have your peace.  Help us to let go of the material things of this life and seek the eternal riches that the world can’t give or take away. Help us to live for the approval of Jesus and not the approval of others.

You only want the best for us. Your delays are not denials, and if you have us to do without something, there is a reason. Many people bring difficulties upon themselves because their heart is not right with you, and they struggle against you. Please help us to not be that way. Help us to have our hearts right with you and help us to take our thoughts captive and not dwell on things that we know you would not approve of. Help us to do our best, and be our best, and not give in to the ways of the world. Jesus taught us to be humble, gentle, and meek and to seek your will and not His own. May we be good and faithful servants. Help us to faith over fear, to worship over worry and to trust without a doubt. Help us to persevere with hope and to wait on you and your timing in all things. Thank you for your patience with us. Help us to have patience with our circumstances, with others, and with ourselves. We know we aren’t where we want to be, but we are grateful that we are not where we once were. With humble hearts, we ask all of these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

Praying blessings on you and your day!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Oct. 17th

October 17, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today, and we lift everyone who is dealing with sadness, grief, and depression. So many people are dealing with multiple things at once, and they just are sad. It’s not that they lack faith or aren’t looking to you…they know that they are only able to endure what they are going through because of your strength within them and your grace that is upon them.

We know there are things that we cannot escape in this life. We all must endure loss, and the older we get, the more we experience it. We are called to grieve with those who mourn. We are to share the comfort you give us with others. Jesus wept. You collect our tears and make a note of them. You comfort those who mourn and bind the wounds of the brokenhearted. You are moved by our tears, pain, loss, and your ear listens for our cries. The Holy Spirit understands the silent groanings of our hearts.  If you are moved when we are hurting, undoubtedly, we will feel the same things when we see others hurting…especially if they are people we love or care for.

Father, please help all who are struggling. Give them respite this day from their sadness. Help them to see signs of your nearness through their tears and lift the heavy veil that lays across their hearts and minds. Send ministering angels to brighten their days. May your Holy Spirit offer comfort and refreshment from your Living Water.  If they are too weary to walk, please carry them. Lead them beside still waters. Restore their souls. Give them hope for the future and strength for the day. Bless them and meet their every need. Please do what we can’t.

So many things we go through don’t have quick fixes or have easy answers. So many are watching loved ones deal with long drawn out injuries and illnesses. It is hard to watch those we love suffering and be in pain. It’s hard to watch people deteriorate and lose bits of themselves and their abilities day by day. We don’t often understand why people must endure what they endure…help us to surrender our questions and find rest in you, the One who has the answers.

We pray for all who are ill themselves…for all who are dealing with pain and physical symptoms that are hard to deal with and for all who are experiencing fear and anxiety. Father, we know you still do miracles… with one word, one thought, or one touch from your hand, you can do what no doctor can do. We pray for healing. We ask for divine intervention. We ask for your grace to fall like rain, and we ask for your will to be done, not our own. Help us to stand and hold fast to you. We thank you that we can grieve with hope and know that one day, you will wipe the last tears from our eyes and death, suffering, pain, and loss will be swallowed up in victory and will be no more. We thank you that we can pray in Jesus’ name. Amen

Blessings, hugs, and love to you, my dear friends!

Debbie

Prayer For Oct. 16th

October 16, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the privilege of coming together in prayer today. We know many around the world are not allowed to gather together in your name. Many are not allowed to publicly pray. May we never take our freedoms and blessings for granted. We lift up to you those who are denied religious freedom. We lift up those who are being persecuted and imprisoned for their faith. Lord, please be their strength. Please be their protector and shield. Please be their liberator and do what no man can do to set them free.

We pray against those who are trying to strip us of our right to our beliefs because they don’t line up with their world view of what they think is right. We pray against those who want to silence our voices when we stand up and speak your truth. We pray for revival. We ask for a great spiritual awakening to take place around the world. We pray that as people are searching for peace and hope that they will find you. Please prompt us and remind us to be faithful for praying about these things.

We pray for all who are in ministry, please strengthen them and be a hedge of protection about them. The enemy is unrelenting in his attacks on those who teach, preach, and minister in your name. Please meet their every need and pour your blessings upon them that they might continue to be about your Kingdom business.

We ask that you would expand our faith. Help us to pray passionately every day of our lives…not just when we desperately need something from you. May we seek you, more than we seek things from you.  Help us to realize the power of prayer. When Elijah prayed, you held back the rain for over 3 years. Joshua prayed and asked that you would make the sun and the moon to stand still, and you did. Help us to pray in agreement with your will and without doubting, that we might see miracles in our midst. If there is anything in our lives that hinders our prayers, please show us that we might be made right before you. We pray for a mighty movement like you did in Acts. May our lives and hearts be in one accord with yours.  May our character and our conduct glorify you. May we realize that we are called to this time that we might be impactful with our prayers for our families, friends, communities, countries, and the world. One righteous person who is faithful in prayer can do much…if all believers were united in faithful, persistent prayers, what incredible things could be accomplished for you. Move our hearts to be full of passion and purpose, even in our times of pain and struggles. May your Spirit stir within us and do more than we knew was possible. In the name of Jesus’, we ask these things. Amen

May God do mighty things in you and through you, friends!

In His love,
Debbie
