Prayer For Oct. 23rd

October 23, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

You tell us to cast all of our cares upon you…you are the God of all grace who cares about the smallest details of our lives…even the hairs on our head have all been counted and are known you…you tell all who are weary and heavy laden to come to you…you want us to trust in you with all of our hearts…you work all things together for good for those who love you… goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives.

That little word “all” means so much in your Word…you are all-sufficient and all knowing…you don’t just care about a few select people, you care about all of us…you don’t want to take just some of our burdens, you want to carry them all…you want us to have peace all the time, not just some of the time …Jesus was willing to give all, so we could live and so we could see that He is worthy of all of our love and trust…your promises are for all… for yesterday, today and forever…you do nothing half-way…you love us fully, completely and extravagantly.

Oh, Lord, may we feel confident and encouraged as we mediate on You and your Word…may we be filled with awe and gratitude as we think about all that you do…all that you are…all the times you have rescued us, provided for us, helped us, comforted us, picked us up when we have fallen and believed in us when no one else did…we have so much to be grateful for…you have given all of yourself and you want us to do the same…we can’t out give you…we can’t out love you…for everything you ask us to give up or hand over in our lives, you replace with more of yourself or something better…we cannot lose by doing the things you ask us to do… we will always receive more than we could give … please soften our hearts and help us to see and remember that everything you do is motivated by your great love and compassion and is always with our best interest in mind. You lavish love on us and wish to continually pour into us…to invest into us because we matter and are important to you…help us to not be short-sighted…help us to focus more on building our relationship with you than anything else…

Thank you for your grace and mercy. With gratitude we praise you and offer up this day, this week and our lives. May we represent you well in all that we say and do. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

May your heart overflow with His joy and peace friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For Oct. 22nd

October 22, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for the way you comfort and guide us through the hard things in life…the older we get, the harder life seems to get… we face more health challenges…we see those we love decline in their health…we start losing more  friends and loved ones… we are often faced with responsibilities and hard decisions that sometimes offer no good options, yet we are required to make a choice…

Lord, for everyone who is facing difficult situations, we ask that they would hear your voice clearly…give them peace and courage…may they feel your comforting presence and may they be assured that you are with them and will continue to be with them in all that lies ahead…may they find support, encouragement and understanding from others…sometimes people just don’t understand what is involved behind the scenes…they don’t have all the facts…they don’t know all that we know… sometimes they make false assumptions, or they judge wrongly… often they don’t see the pain and heartache that is involved in the decisions and choices that are being made…may everyone who is in that difficult and sometimes lonely place feel your nearness… please be their shield when they are met with rebuke, rejection, anger or silence…

Lord, you alone know everything about each of us…one day we will all see clearly the times we misjudged, the times we took things wrong, the times we misunderstood someone’s intentions…the times our perceptions were clouded by pain, depression, guilt or our own life experiences…help us to have more patience, grace, sympathy and empathy towards others…sadly, we often we don’t really understand what others go through until we walk a similar path…

Please help us to cling to you in difficult times…help us to focus on you and not the opinions of others..may we be people of good character and walk with integrity…help us to have the strength to do the right things even if they are not popular with others…help us to hold our heads high when we are falsely accused, gossiped about or slandered …help us to be content with the knowledge that you know all and it is your opinion that matters most…

Please meet each of us where we are at today …give us strength for the day…please fill us with your Holy Spirit and comfort us with your words of truth… be our peace and our shelter from the storms…we pray for our families and friends and ask that you draw them close to you and meet their needs…Thank you Lord, for walking beside us in every phase of our lives…how grateful we are to have you as our shepherd who leads us through every challenge, heartache and decision. We love you Lord and ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Blessings be upon you friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For Oct. 21st

October 21, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father…

We all have regrets in life…things we wish had never happened…words and actions we wish we could change or take back…relationship mistakes we’ve made…times we squandered or foolishly spent our time, energy, money or health…even though we have all made mistakes, you don’t want us to waste our lives living in guilt, shame or with regret…we can’t go back and change anything… we have to let go of the things that we can’t change… we can only make the most of this day that is before us… so please help us to love more…help us to be kinder and more compassionate… help us treasure our loved and take nothing for granted… help us to witness more…pray more… encourage others more…serve you more…trust you more…live more for you…we will never regret doing the things that you have called us to …we will never regret doing things as unto you…we will never regret following Jesus and trying to be more like Him…we will not regret anything that is done for your glory and kingdom.

Thank you for redeeming everything in our lives…thank you for forgiving our sins and our mistakes…thank you for your patience when we have focused more on the things that we lacked, instead of appreciating all that we had…thank you for loving us regardless of our faults, frailties and failures…thank you for believing in us in seeing past all that we are, to seeing who we will be.

Lord, please grant us your wisdom that we might use our time, talents, energy and resources in the best possible ways…help us to have discernment and to live life to the fullest and to the best of our abilities…help us not to stay stuck where we are … help us to make whatever changes are necessary in our lives …whether it’s emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually or financially…help us to not put off the things that you have placed on our hearts…we thank you that because of Jesus, each day holds hope…each day has promise…each day we wake up means you have a plan and a purpose for us…fill us, Lord…mold us, use us, heal us, renew us and live in us this day…in the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen.

Carpe Diem Friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For Oct. 20th

October 20, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the privilege of waking to see another day. Thank you for the privilege of being able to join in prayer. Today we want to lift to you all the unsung heroes in our world…the people who are known by you, but are nameless to us…all of the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to help others…from the caregivers, therapists and home health aids, to those who go out on the streets to and feed the homeless and to  share the gospel.

There are so many who work behind the scenes to help abused women and rescue trafficked kids…people who are giving of their time to help clean up disaster ravaged areas, people who volunteer on suicide and domestic abuse hotlines, people serving in shelters and donating time to give health services in small little remote villages in impoverished countries…so many who just get up each day and look to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to bring  hope, relief and good news to the hurting in their homes, communities and where ever you may lead them. They don’t receive accolades or media attention…they just see a need and meet it.

We ask you to pour out your blessings on each person so they can continue to bless others.. Please protect all who do the dangerous jobs of serving, rescuing and protecting others…please provide financial and other needed resources so they can continue to do their good works and deeds. Please continue to grant good health, strength and energy so they can meet the physical challenges they face…We also lift up those in ministry…please put a hedge of protection around them and meet their needs so they can continue to serve you and others…they fight battles on so many levels and few see all they deal with behind the scenes…

Lord, please place things on our hearts to pray for…give us opportunities to be a source of encouragement to others…help us to see beyond the obvious…help us to see beyond our own needs, our own pain and our own struggles…we are lifted higher by reaching down to help another…it takes so little to make a difference…we will never know this side of heaven the impact of our prayers or kind words or deeds…no one may ever acknowledge the things we do silently and secretly to help others, but you see…you take note…may everything we do be as unto you this day and every day that we live…may your will be done through us and in us…may we be lights in the darkness that point the way to you…may our hearts be filled with gratitude and thankfulness and our minds filled with peace as we think of all that is right, good, true and holy…there is much that is wrong in our world…so much we can complain about…but there is also so much good. Help us to celebrate and focus on the good…In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

May your day be blessed friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Oct. 19th

October 19, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Your ways are so above ours… our finite minds cannot begin to understand all that you are… your promises are  still as trustworthy today as they were thousands of years ago and they will never return void… please help us to remember that sometimes you allow things to happen so you can do something greater than what we can see or imagine at the time.

Help us to cling to what we know is true  about you, even when we don’t understand what you are doing…help us to remember that sometimes you take us on the back roads and on slow journeys for a reason…everything you do is for our good and your glory… in your economy, waiting time is not wasted time…you are working while we are waiting…you are never late or early and never in a hurry…your delays are not denials…often delays are your way of protecting us, or perfecting us…sometimes we get a glimpse of the bigger picture of what you are doing, but many things, we will not understand until we are home with you…Help us to not to mess things up and rush ahead of you or your will, Lord…help us not to grumble and complain when your ways and timing are different from what we hope or pray for…

We have so much to learn from you, but we want to be teachable . We want to have unshakable faith that does not waver…we want to trust you and be at peace no matter what is happening, because we have confidence in who you are and who we are in you…

Mold us and teach us Lord, you are the potter and we are the clay…the process  of becoming like Jesus can be so hard, but we know we have so very far to go to be like Him. Help us to die to ourselves that Jesus can be resurrected in us…so we shine bright with His light and His love…so people can see Him in us.

We love you and adore you. We bow our hearts before you. We surrender to you all that we are and all that we hope to be…we surrender our needs, our cares and our families and we put everything into your hands and know that there is no safer or better place to be than in your loving care and the center of your will.  In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Blessings be upon you friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For Oct. 18th

October 18, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We are told that the Bible is our sword…it is our defense against doubts, fears, anxiety and every attack that the enemy might use against us. Your Word gives us hope… it is the firm foundation which we stand on…it reminds us of your promises and reminds us of what matters in this life… it is the voice of reason and truth that guides us through the darkness…it is our source of encouragement…it reminds us where our strength and hope comes from…

When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, He responded to the enemy,”It is written…” , even Jesus used your Word as a weapon… Oh, Lord…help us to have a hunger and thirst for your Word…help us to overcome the things that distract us and keep us from reading as we should… The Bible is our life-line, especially when we are hurting or facing difficult times… Please help us to make reading your Word a priority…help us to find ways to let your Word saturate our mind so we can easily call to mind scriptures that will help us in every situation we might face. Please renew our minds and transform our hearts by the reading of your Word. May it be a lamp to guide our path. May it be a beacon in the dark night that points the way to you and reminds us of your love, your goodness, your promises, your mighty works and your faithfulness…

There are so many who are not allowed to own a Bible…to do so brings imprisonment or death…help us to never take for granted what is made so easily available to us…may we treasure it as much as the believers do who wish they could own one…we thank you for our blessings, Lord…how blessed we are that you care about us …how blessed we are that we are not defenseless and you are with us…how blessed we are for the freedoms we have… Please pour yourself into us that we might become more like Jesus….may others see you in us and be drawn to you. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Praying blessings over you friends!

Much love in Him
Debbie

Prayer For Oct. 17th

October 17, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Our Father,

We thank you for your goodness…we thank you for your grace and your power and authority over every situation we face. We thank you that you have already made a way…a plan…a purpose for each of us…we thank you that at this moment, you have figured out the where, when, why and how of every financial need. You are still the God who turned water to wine, miraculously gave the widow oil to sell, placed a coin in a fish’s mouth, filled the apostles nets to overflowing…you have promised to provide and you are faithful…help our unbelief Lord…

Help us to trust that for every illness, every hardship and every loss, you have a plan to overcome evil with good…you are not done doing miracles…you are not done shining your light in the darkness…You are still pouring out comfort and peace…you are still healing…you are still protecting and encouraging and releasing your power, strength and might into any believer who asks…help us not to shrink back…help us not to cower in fear…

Please fill us with your Holy Spirit. Please cleanse us from our sins and anything that displeases you…help us to be aware of anything in our lives that draws us away from you and keeps us from being the best we can be…help us to be willing to say yes, even when it’s scary…we think of Mary and how terrified she must have been when the angel came to her and told her she would give birth to Jesus…a young woman who would experience something no other woman had experienced…something that would not be understood by others…but she was unafraid to say “yes” to you and her life and all of our lives were forever changed…the apostles, were unafraid to say “yes” to Jesus and their lives and our lives were forever changed…sometimes you ask us to do things that are out of our comfort zones…you ask us to do things that others won’t understand…sometimes you call us to do things that are so beyond what we can do on our own, just so you can show your strength in our weakness and your power in a life yielded to you…help us to be unafraid and courageous as you work in our lives. Help us to make the most of our days…help us to remember that you are always working behind the scenes and it is always for our good and with our best interest in mind. We dedicate our lives and this day unto you. We trust you with our every need and thank you in advance for all you will do. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

May you feel God’s nearness and power!

In His love,
Debbie
