Prayer For May 24th

May 24, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here’s the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

There are many things for Christians to have righteous anger over now a days…more than ever, we need your help to be good witnesses for you…help us to always be mindful that we will be held accountable for all of our words and deeds.
You want us to think about the language and tone we use when we speak to others…we have much to learn from Christ’ example…Help us to be thoughtful with our responses instead of being reactive. We pray for your wisdom and your knowledge that we might have answers for the tough questions of our day. Help us to remember that we are the only Bible that some people will read…teach us how to be respectful, loving and kind even when we disagree. We ask that you help us to be slow to speak and slow to anger…whether we have been wrongly accused, verbally abused, mocked or mistreated. You tell us that as it was done to you, that it will happen to us… there will  always be those who find fault and come against us…the more we become like you, the more the world will take with issue with us…

Your Word tells us to do everything without grumbling or arguing…and what you call us to do, you equip us for… Help us to yield and submit to you so your light that is within us will shine brightly for all to see…It’s said that people will know we are Christians by our love.  May people see your love flow through us. May there never be a doubt about Who we stand for, live for and represent…

Search us, Lord, and know our hearts. Try us and know our ways… if there are any wicked ways in us, cleanse us and lead us on your path. Please forgive us for the times we’ve blown it and help us to do better and be better.   Help us to love our neighbor as ourselves and to treat others not only in the way we want to be treated, but in the way you treat us. We are to be in this world, but not of it… please help us to be good ambassadors for you. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Wishing you all a safe, peaceful and stress free day!
Blessings and hugs to you all,
Debbie

Prayer For May 23rd

May 23, 2018

Hello,Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We thank you for today…We thank you that we are right where we are supposed to be and that you are in control. We thank you that your timing is always perfect. Help us to be confident in the fact that we are safe and secure under your watchful eye and that nothing will happen to us today that you have not already foreseen  …we can handle everything that comes our way because you are leading us and guiding us and protecting us.

Help us to listen to your promises and not words of discouragement and defeat. Help us to  embrace the good things you have for us. Help us to rise up against all that holds us back…all that keeps us from seeing your light and feeling your peace. Please bring healing physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally.

We ask if there are any here who have stumbled in their walk with you… help them to find their way back to you.  You are always gracious to welcome us home with open arms. We pray for anyone reading this who  has never committed their life to you… we ask that you would touch their heart and give them the courage and boldness to take that leap of faith and say, “Jesus I am a sinner. Please save me, forgive me and come into my life”. May today be the day of their salvation. We are grateful for the fact that no matter where we are today, we can move forward… even if it’s just with baby steps…help us to remember it’s not by our might or power but by yours and we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.

May our cups be filled to overflowing.  May your grace fall afresh on us today.  May we feel the warmth of Your presence. May we feel a fire kindled in our hearts so we are motivated to seek you and to want you above all else in this life. Please go before us and make the rough roads smooth today. Fill us with your Holy Spirit. Please forgive us of our sins. Don’t let us stay stuck in places we don’t belong. May we grow in your wisdom, knowledge and grace. We love you and we thank you in advance for all you will do. In Jesus’ name we ask these things, Amen.

Blessing be upon you!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For May 22nd

May 22, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We come to you today and we lift our voices to praise you. We are told that you inhabit the praises of your people. So Lord, we want to thank you for all that you do…for all that you are…

Lord, we praise you because you are Holy…
We thank you for being the light in the dark and our shelter from the storms…
We thank you for your guidance, instruction and the Bible…
We thank you for the salvation that comes through Jesus…
We are so grateful that you forgive us of our sins and that you see us not as we are, but how we will be…
We are so thankful  for heaven and all that awaits us for eternity…
We thank you Lord, for your mercy and grace…
We thank you for your peace that passes all understanding…
We thank you for carrying our burdens…
We praise you for your infinite, unconditional, everlasting love…
We are so thankful that you never leave us or forsake us…
We thank you for your promises that never fail…
We thank you for hearing us when we call…
We are so grateful, Lord, that you are near to the brokenhearted and that you bind our wounds…

We could go on and on, speaking of all the things that we have to praise and thank you for. You are our amazing Father and you are so worthy to be praised!  When we are weary, overwhelmed, burdened, stressed, sad or angry…remind us and prompt us with your Holy Spirit, to take a moment and focus on you and not the things of this world. May we live with an attitude of gratitude and a spirit of praise.

We don’t want to ask for anything  in this moment. You know our needs already…We just want to worship you, bow before you and  tell you how  grateful we are to have you in our lives and to be loved  and held by you. We thank you for our Savior Jesus in whose name we can pray, Amen.

May you be abundantly blessed today friends!!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For May 21st

May 21, 2018

Hello, Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

You tell us to come boldly to your throne of grace and Lord we are following that advice today. F
or too long, too many of us have stood by while the enemy has taunted and discouraged us. For too long, we have listened to the enemy lie and tell us that we have no power… that we are victims that have no recourse. For too long, many have been defeated by their sins…by their past…by their brokenness…by the mantles of guilt and shame that others have placed upon them. For too long, many have believed that they must stand idly by and remain silent to keep the peace…yet they have watched sin and evil consume, divide and conquer those around them.

There comes a time when you call your children to rise up and speak the truth. Just as Christ had Holy anger in the temple and overturned those tables, there is a time when we are to stand for truth and righteousness. There is a time to put on our armor and face the enemy instead of avoiding him. There comes a time when we need to face sin and wrong doing and say “In the name of Jesus I rebuke you, get behind me satan.” There comes a time when we need to care enough to speak God’s truth with authority and say “this is not okay, according to Jesus and I cannot stay silent any longer”.

We pray for deliverance and we pray against the things that come against us. Sometimes we are called to stand boldly like David did with Goliath. Sometimes we are called to slay our giants with the help of you, our Mighty God. Sometimes, we have to defeat those things that rise against us to make us helpless and ineffective so we can move forward.

Please fill us with your strength and boldness today. May your grace and power rain down on us and fill us, like the cracks on drought laden land, drink in the rain. Fill us to overflowing, May we make a stand for our families. May we take a stand for our loved ones who are lost and rebelling. Help us fight on every level the addictions and the spiritual forces that try to lay claim to our lives and the lives of those we love. May we break the chains of oppression that keep us feeling hopeless and helpless. Stir our hearts within us. Let your righteousness and holiness rise up within us so that we shout “no more!” May we decide that today is the day for change and for victory and for staking claim on all the promises that you have given your children. How many prayers do you have answers to that no one has bothered to pray? How many victories are waiting to be won by people who think they don’t stand a chance? How many enemies could be defeated if we only had the courage to say “here I am Lord, I am weak but you are strong, take me and use me.”

Make us people after your own hearts. Remind us that the days are short and there is much to do. The enemy is raging against us, but we are not at His mercy. Let us rise triumphantly from the muck and mire to stand as your warriors. Help us Father. Empower us to do your will and bidding. May we go out boldly to face all that is in front of us…not by our might or power, but by yours. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

You are not victims my friends, you are victors because of Christ Jesus!
Blessings be upon you in His name!
Always in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For May 20th

May 20, 2018

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We are told to set our minds on things above where Jesus is seated next to you…to  set our minds on things above, not on earthly things. Please help us to do that…help us to think on things that are pure, holy righteous and true…help us to not get trapped focusing on the things in the news or the things that are or aren’t happening around us…the physical things seem so much more pressing and demanding of our time and attention…you give us signs daily of your nearness, but too often we fail to see them because we are focused on the things that the enemy puts in our paths to distract us and keep us from entering your presence…from entering into your peace and the serenity you offer…too often we stress over things that just aren’t important in the bigger, eternal scope of things…

Help us to be more “you” centered…help us to soar like the eagle does above the cares and struggles of life…help us to live in the moment…so many things we aren’t able to do in our own strength or abilities…they take a step of faith…they take dying to ourselves…they take commitment, diligence, trust, perseverance and training our minds to focus on the things above…you equip us…you give wisdom to all who ask…you impart grace and mercy…you are infinitely patient with us…so many of the things you command us to do are for our own good and to make things easier for us…too often we rebel against you and your wise commands and counsel…just like our children rebel against us…just like our children  at times challenge us…they think they know better than we do…think they have all the answers…help us to grow out of spiritually childish ways of thinking…help us to open our hands and relinquish the things that we cling too tightly to that we might receive all that you have for us.

Please soften our hearts…open our eyes…help us to lean on you and trust your ways…help us to surrender all that holds us back and gets in the way…help us to walk in your truth and to remember that this is not our home, we are only passing through…the cares of this life are temporary compared to eternity…help us to mature and grow…things go so much better and so much easier when we trust and obey…when we lean on your understanding instead of our own…when we realize that you are in control not us…when we seek your will and not our own…

Lord, we give you our lives…we surrender our agendas and timetables and the way we think things should be…we give you our burdens, pain and needs and trust you with them…we thank you in advance for all you will do. May we live for your glory and with eternity in mind. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends.

In His love,

Debbie

Prayer For May 19th

May 19, 2018

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Our Father,

We grieve with those who grieve and we rejoice with those who rejoice and today we are reminded that there is great joy in love and there is also pain that comes when those we love are taken from us…

We are reminded today that you are love and that those who abide in you, abide in love…we are reminded that we love, because you first loved us…we are reminded that you command us to love one another as you have loved us…we are reminded that if we say we love you, but don’t love others, your love is not in us…we are reminded that love comes with a cost…we are reminded that you loved us so much that you sent your only Son, so whoever would believe in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life…

Father, we need more of your love in this world…even though it hurts to lose those we love, love renews life and gives it meaning…it brings healing for those who have been hurt, abused, neglected and rejected…love brings comfort…love rights wrongs and changes hearts…love makes the world a better place and reminds us of you…it brings out the best parts of you in us…it gives us hope and reminds us of what is to come…it points to you…

Help us to love like you do…help our love to be patient and kind…help us to not seek our own way…help us to love well, so we are not easily provoked, offended or hold offenses against others…help us to forgive as you forgive…help us to put the needs of others before our own…help us to seek your will above our own…help us to spread your love…help us to be doers of the Word and not like those who hear the Word, yet are unchanged by it…may your love dwell in us and spill over onto everyone around us…

We are reminded that people may not always remember the things we do or say, but they will remember the way we made them feel…they will remember if they felt loved by us…if they felt cared for…if we encouraged and lifted them up…if we showed love not just in words, but in actions and the way we lived our lives…

Life is so short…none of us are guaranteed tomorrow…help us to make the most of each day and to live in such a way that we will have no regrets when our lives are over and when we stand before you…live in us and love through us…  help us to abide in you Father. Thank you for loving us so well. We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!

Always in His love,
Debbie

Prayer For May 18th

May 18, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for being the lifter of our heads…when others don’t understand our pain, our fears, our health issues or our struggles, you do…you see the things no one else sees and you gently hold us and reassure us through your Word and presence that everything is going to be okay…nothing is wasted…we are not a nameless face…we are not insignificant to you…everything about us is important to you…you care about the things that weigh heavy on our heart…nothing is ever more pressing or more important than spending time with us …

You tell us that you will renew and sustain us until we are old with age…create in us a clean heart, Lord…help us to hunger and thirst for things that are eternal…things that the world can’t give or take away…thank you for empowering us, strengthening us and equipping us so we can live out our calling…may we serve you well and bring glory and honor to you in all that we say and do…

Please lead and guide us today…we commit this day to you and ask that you put people in our path who you want us to help, comfort or minister to…order our days so we don’t waste them…help us to trust that if we run into delays or setbacks that there is a reason…help us to trust beyond what we can see…you are the potter and we are the clay and we are grateful that you are molding us and making us to be more like Jesus…the process is not quick, easy or painless, but we know one day we will stand before you and know that everything we have gone through will be worth it. Thank you for saving us…thank you for all that lies ahead…thank you for all you have seen us through…thank you for seeing in us what we can’t see ourselves. We love you, Lord and we are so grateful for you. We are grateful that we can come to you in prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You Friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie
