Prayer For Feb. 18th

February 18, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

As we go forward this week, please help us to live boldly in our faith. You are the same God of the miraculous and impossible that you have always been and you hold us and our future securely in your hands. At times our pain, lack and struggles seem like they will never end. Surely your people who wandered in the wilderness for forty years, must have felt that way. They had no place to call home. They had no allies or people rallying to their aid. They had seemingly no form of earthly security or comfort. They were unable to do anything for themselves to improve their circumstances. You led them with a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night. You provided their water and food supernaturally. You made their clothes and shoes to last for 40 years. You made it so their feet didn’t swell for those forty years of a nomadic existence. When they were surrounded by enemies, You delivered them. They were utterly dependent on You and You faithfully, without fail, were their Provider, Deliverer, Defender and source of hope.

At times our lives are not comfortable. Our times of struggle last longer than we would like. We often don’t understand what You are doing or why you allow difficult things. We often long for things to be different and better. Help us to learn to trust and rest in you in our periods of uncertainty and hardship. Help us to seek You more than we seek comfort, relief or things. Help us to know your peace that defies our circumstances. Help us to see you, when we don’t see a way. Help us to see the signs of your nearness that surround us. You promise your grace  will see us through ALL things. You promise to provide for ALL of our needs. You promise to work ALL things together for our good. You promise to deliver us from ALL of our fears. You promise we can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength. You promise ALL things are possible for you. You are not only a promise maker, You are a promise keeper.

Your Word says that those who trust and hope in You are blessed…that we will be like a tree planted by water whose roots run deep. When the droughts, winds and storms come, we can stand strong because our roots are planted in You. You promise to extent peace like a river. When we stand on Your promises we cannot fail or fall.  We are thankful for Your eye that is upon us and Your Spirit that is with us. We thank You for all You are doing in us and for us. We praise You and give You glory and honor for Your faithfulness and greatness. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Blessings be upon you!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Feb. 17th

February 17, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

We thank you for waking us this morning. May we live this day with a healthy mindset. You tell us to take our thoughts captive and to think on things that are true, right and lovely. The thoughts we think before falling asleep help determine our mood when we wake up and our first thoughts in the morning help set the tone for our day.  Please help us to make healthy, wise choices about the thoughts we entertain. You tell us to meditate on Your Word night and day. Help us to feed our spirit and our mind healthy food.

Help us to remember that we are no longer slaves to this world, but heirs to your Kingdom. When our thoughts or others tell us that we have no worth, value or purpose, may we remind ourselves that we are made in your image…that we are so loved and valued by you, that you sent Jesus to die, that we may live. You say we are able, capable, useful and equipped for the plans that you have made for us.

We don’t need to be a slave to our thoughts or the opinions of others. Whom The Son sets free…is free..period. Help us to remember we are free from the wages of sin and death. We are free from the chains that the enemy tries to use to hold us back and keep us down. We are free to choose our thoughts. We are free to choose how we react to troubling situations and adversity. We are free to walk away from pointless drama and disagreements. We are free to set up boundaries to protect our hearts and minds. We don’t have control over a lot of things that impact our lives, but we do have choices on how we deal with them and respond to them. Our choices determine our outlook.  We can choose to count our blessings instead of our losses. We can choose to see the good before the bad. We can choose which voices to listen to.

We may have limitations, but as your children, we have access to your limitless resources…we have access to your peace, your joy, your strength, your grace, your wisdom…but we must choose these things daily…you have set the captives free, but we must take those steps of faith to walk in freedom. We often feel so helpless…so out of control with the things that happen in our lives, but things are never out of your control. You have gone before us, you walk with us, you surround us, sustain us. It doesn’t matter who or what comes against us, because you are for us. May these be the truths that we cling to and remind ourselves of daily. Thank you Lord for all you give us and all you do for us.  We love you and are grateful. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

May you have a blessed and peaceful day!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Feb. 16th

February 16, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We are told in your Word that Jesus, our Lord and teacher, came not to be served but to serve, and we should follow in His footsteps. In this day and age where we hear so much about “my rights”, “what I need”, “what’s best for me”…in this day and age that is so focused on self, we ask that you would remind us to be people who are set apart. Help us to die to ourselves so that Jesus can be resurrected in us…help us to grow in You, so people see less of us and more of Jesus.

Jesus, in all of His divine glory, stooped down and lovingly washed His disciples feet…he did not think that was beneath Him to do an act usually reserved for servants…Jesus was kind and compassionate to those that society looked down on…there was no one beneath him…may we have that same heart and vision.

You see success so differently than the world…you see beauty so differently than the world…Jesus modeled how we should be…what we should value…what pleases you…help us not to seek to impress men…when we are serving the “least of these” in your name, you are most pleased with us…you look for humbleness in spirit…you hate a spirit of pride and entitlement…

Please forgive us for all the times we have been prideful…please forgive us for the times we have put seeking the approval of people above seeking your approval.  If Jesus, who was perfect, was unable to please everyone, we should know that we will never be able to please everyone no matter how hard we try. If Jesus was rejected, gossiped about, lied about, slandered and accused of false things, we know we will meet the same. Help us to break free from the need to please and seek approval to find our sense of self-worth and help us to find our sense of self in what you say about us…help us to live our lives in a way that pleases you alone.

You tell us that when we meditate on your Word and when we are careful to do everything that is written in it, then we will be prosperous and successful…help us to make pleasing you and serving you our number one priority. Help us to have the humble heart of a servant. Help us to work as unto you…help us to daily humble ourselves before you. Help us to focus on doing things that have eternal value. We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

Blessings be upon you!

In His love,

Debbie

Prayer For Feb. 15th

February 15, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

As we join together today we lift up to you all who need miracles. We know that you see what we don’t…you know what we don’t. Like your children standing at the Red Sea, we know many are surrounded by troubles and it seems there is no way of escape. Many feel hopeless and discouraged They don’t see a way around or through their circumstances. Lord, we know you have a good plan for each of them…we know you have not brought them this far to fail them now…we ask you to do what only you can….bring deliverance…open doors…make a way where the seems to be no way…nothing is impossible for you.

Some need multiple things to fall into place…they need financial provision…they need people to help…they need a physical place to go to… we intercede for those who are physically and emotionally exhausted from their battles…all who are overwhelmed with all that is in front of them…all who are afraid…all who are despairing of life…we want to help…for some, we’ve even tried to help and have run into the same closed doors and lack of resources and a way to help…

We  look to you and bow before you with faith larger than a mustard seed …we know what You can do…we are asking you to move mountains. part the seas, close the mouths of lions, change hearts, make blind eyes see, bring manna from heaven and bring life from death…we can’t, but you can, and our hope and trust is in you…our faith is in You…

You tell us where two or three gather you are in our midst and we are joining together and asking with one voice and asking to see your goodness in the land of the living, especially for those who are in perilous, life-threatening situations…for those who need a way of escape from abusive situations…for those who are dealing with dangerous acts of nature…for those who are dealing with the devastating aftermath of tragedies and losses…for those who are caught in spiritual battles with enemies they can’t even see…be their Way-Maker, Chain-Breaker, Healer and Deliverer.

May our hearts be right before you so that nothing hinders our prayers. We ask without doubting and believe that you are the same God of miracles that you have always been. We look to you this day and we thank you in advance for all you will do. We give you praise and glory for all you have done and all that you are. We submit to you and surrender our wills and ask that your will be done, not our own. Gracious, Lord, hear our prayers as we intercede for those in need. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Feb. 14th

February 14, 2019

Hi, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

There are many types of love in this world, but there is no love that we need more than your agape love. You are love itself. There is no one who can ever love us more deeply or completely than you…how blessed we are to know that there is nothing we can do or say to make you love us more, or less… we thank you for your love that is patient and kind… for your love that never gives up or quits…for your love that believes in us, encourages us and brings out the best in us…for your love that endures, is eternal and is lavished upon us.

For all who are having a hard time today, Father, we ask that your love would be a healing balm for their hearts. You know each one of us by name…you know our deepest longings, our thoughts, our needs, our most private memories and our deepest pain…you know exactly how to fill the empty spaces in our lives and fulfill our every need. May those who are hurting feel an undeniable touch from you… may they be comforted and encouraged by your nearness…may we all find joy in happy memories and have many reasons to smile today.

Please bring people across our paths who can use some encouragement today. Use us to be your hands and feet to show your love to someone who is hurting, lonely or needs to be shown kindness or compassion …may we be the reason someone smiles today. Please bless us so we can bless others and help us to be a conduit for your love.

We give you our hearts…we give you our lives…we give you this day and all that’s in it and we commit everything to your hands. We love you, praise you and thank you for all you are. We thank you for our Savior Jesus and all He did to prove how loved we are. It’s in His name we pray. Amen

Blessings and hugs to you all!
Debbie

Prayer For Feb. 13th

February 13, 2019

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

There are things that happen in life that are hard to overcome…things that can leave us feeling like our identity, our sense of self and our security are destroyed…we can feel like we will never find healing…that there is no way to recover from our losses and pain…we may try to move on, but we feel like we are stuck…

Father, we lift to you today all who are in that hard place…you are the Great Physician and Healer. You can do what no one else can do.  Help each one to release to you all of their pain and all of  their emotional and mental wounds…help them to find victory…help them to cling to Your Word like the life-preserver it is. You promise to bind our wounds. You promise to restore what the locusts have eaten. You promise to give us the oil of joy for mourning. You promise to take away our clothes of mourning and clothe us with joy. You promise to give to those who grieve, a crown of beauty instead of ashes. You promise to give us a spirit of praise instead of despair.

We may not see a way through our dark tunnels…we may not see a hint of light or change on the horizon, but you see the big picture that we can’t see…the darkness is not dark to you…you see not only a way through, but how to find meaning and purpose in our pain and losses. You see the path of victory that you have laid out before us and you are ready and willing to lead us on that path. Help us not to quench the working of your Spirit in our lives by believing the lies of the enemy when he tells us that your promises aren’t for us and that things will never get better…that we are broken beyond repair. Help us so we don’t make our losses and the things we have been through our identity…so we don’t make those things what define us.

We are not what we have been through. Our identity is who you say we are. You say we are over-comers. You say we are healed and restored. You say we are hard pressed, but not crushed…that we have trouble all around, but You are with us and we are not defeated. You say, we may not know what to do, but You do, so we don’t need to despair. No matter what the enemy throws at us, we are not defeated….we have suffering in this life, but we also have Christ’s resurrection power within us to help us overcome.

Faith is believing in what we can’t yet see. Help us believe that healing is coming. That restoration is coming. That we have hope, because of Jesus. Help us to believe Your truth, more than the enemy’s lies or what we feel. May today, be the day we stop saying, “I can’t” and say, “You Can”.  Help us to believe all things are possible through Jesus and nothing is too hard for Him and that includes healing us and restoring us. May we embrace all you have for us. Help us to trust that you will lead us out of the dark…that you will lead us through the valley’s to green pastures and beside still waters…that you will restore our souls.  We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Feb. 12th

February 12, 2019

Hello Friends! Here’s the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Our world has become a place where there are no filters. Many people don’t think before they speak and they do things without a moments hesitation…they don’t think of the consequences of their words or actions…they don’t consider any viewpoint or feelings other than their own. We see so many people hide behind computers and devices and say things they would never say to someone’s face. People bully and hurt with their words. They intimidate and hate with their actions. There is no room for civil discourse or intelligent discussions about differing points of view. There is no grace or room for people to grow and learn from past mistakes. There is no forgiveness or mercy in the public forum. A transgression made in a person’s youth can count against them as if it happened yesterday…even if they learned and grew past their mistakes. We know our enemy accuses us night and day and we see his attitude and accusations spilling over into our world in ways we have not seen in our lifetime.

Lord, help us to be different. Help us to act like Jesus. Help us to show mercy, kindness and forgiveness. Help us to overcome evil with good. While others spew hate and anger, may we be known by our love…your love. Help us to see people through your eyes…help us to be patient and stay calm when others speak harshly…help us to forgive easily and pray for those who persecute us…when we see someone being hateful or rude, remind us to stop and pray for them that their eyes might be opened and their heart softened…help us to remember who our real enemy is.

There are battles all around us, but help us not to lose sight of the greater war that is being fought…the war for your kingdom, salvation and eternity. Please grant us your wisdom and discernment. You tell us not to be caught up in foolish controversies and arguments. Remind us not to waste time trying to convince someone who is unwilling to listen or change…help us to remember the best thing we can do is lift them in prayer to you…You are The One who can make blind eyes see and soften the hearts of men. Help us so the problems of others don’t become our own. Help us to root out all anger and bitterness and let go of the things that are out of our control.

We give you our disappointments, our frustrations, our difficult relationships, the things that weigh heavy on our hearts and minds. We pray for our families and friends, our communities, our nations and the world. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Help us to be peacemakers that point the way to you. We ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love,
Debbie
