Prayer For Sept. 17th

September 17, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for seeing us through the hard stuff in life. We are grateful that you can handle every problem in the world… that you hear every prayer… that you know our every need… that you love unconditionally, even when you are questioned, spurned, rejected and treated disrespectfully…you keep on loving and standing by with open arms…we don’t know how you do it all, but we are grateful that you don’t give up or turn away from us.

We praise you for being the firm foundation and solid rock we can stand on when everything is unstable, crumbling and shifting around us… we thank you for the hope and stability you offer and for the peace you give us in the midst of storms and change…thank you for all the things that you have seen us through… we are so grateful to have you watching over us… we are thankful that you see the bigger picture that we can’t yet see…thankful that you have a plan and a purpose for all we face and go through…

Please help us to have more faith… more patience… more understanding of your Word and more love in our hearts, towards others and you… help us to trust you more and worry less…help our conversations to be more pure and holy so they edify you…please renew a right spirit within us…help us to experience more of your joy and gladness…help us to be the men and women that you want us to be.

You are so worthy to be praised. May our first thoughts each morning be to praise you and the last thoughts at night be ones of thankfulness and gratitude. As we go forward this week, may your Word and Holy Spirit guide us in your ways and truth and may we draw ever closer to you. We thank you for your mercy and grace and that we have a Savior in whose name we can pray. Amen

Praying blessings and favor upon you friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Sept. 15th

September 15, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Our Father,

As we gather today, we ask to feel your presence…please help us when we pray not to drift off…help us not to gloss over the things we read when we spend time in your Word…may your Word be rooted deep in our heart so when the storms come, we can stand firm and secure like the tree whose roots are deeply planted…help us to not be so rushed and hard pressed for time that we fail to linger in your presence so we can hear what you have to say to us…

Please enlighten our minds with your truth…please grant us wisdom that we might understand your will…open our eyes that we might see others, and our circumstances, through the eyes of faith…help us to forgive as you do…to show mercy and compassion as you do…help us to die to ourselves …help us to leave behind all the things that are self-serving and self-seeking…may we realize our worth and value as your children and as your hands and feet to the world…may we love with your love and may others see you in us by the words we speak, by our character, by our choices, by our actions, by the way we live for you and trust you…

It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed with everything that goes on in the world… it’s easy to feel tainted by the negativity…it’s hard not to feel heavyhearted by the things we hear and see… but you have given us a sound mind… you have given us your Spirit to comfort us and  to help us to overcome…you have given us a divine purpose and mission…you have made us to be alive at this particular place and time so we can rise up individually and as a church, that we might be lights in the darkness that point the way to you… so we can be witnesses who model how your grace sustains us in difficult times and how your peace can calm us in the midst of storms…help us to remember that we might be the only Bible that some people read…we might be the one placed at the perfect moment to offer the word of encouragement that saves a life…we might be called to offer up a deed or service that will change a life for the better…we will never know this side of heaven how many people were watching and we just were unaware…

Help us to seize this day…help us to remember all the times you’ve seen us through…you have not brought us this far to abandon us now…you are not through working in us, through us, or in our circumstances…thank you for all you do and for all that is to come…use us for your glory. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen

God bless you friends!

Blessings, hugs and love,
Debbie

Prayer For Sept. 14th

September 14, 2018

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up to you today all who are being affected by Hurricane Florence. We ask for your divine intervention… we ask that you would calm the wind and the waves. We pray that you would protect and grant a safe rescue to those who are stranded…that you would protect and give strength and energy to the rescuers and all the emergency personnel, responders and repair crews.

We ask that you would make the waters recede…we pray that people would feel your peace, comfort and nearness in the midst of such scary and uncertain situations…we pray for comfort for all who are displaced, evacuated and without power…we pray for comfort and provision for those who have suffered loss..we ask that all who are worried, stressed, anxious and fearful would feel your nearness and peace in the midst of this literal storm…

These disasters and acts of nature remind us that there are so many things in life that are out of our control…we are grateful that you are in control and with us…may we remember during times of difficulty that you can calm us in the midst of every type of storm…may we remember that your eye is upon us…that your grace strengthens us…and you are  our place of  safety and refuge…

For everyone reading this prayer, please meet their every need…please bless them. May they feel secure and safe in the shelter of your wing…may they know that you, the God of angel armies, is surrounding them like a mighty fortress and you have commanded your angels armies to surround us…

We love you, Father…we are grateful that we can turn to you always…that you never cast us away or turn your eye away from us…your ear is always attentive to our cries and you hear every silent prayer…we are grateful that you are greater than anything we face and you have overcome the world…we thank you that because of Jesus we can bring our fears, concerns and every need to your throne of grace. We lift this day, we lift our burdens, we lift those we love and our brothers and sisters in crisis and need around the world to you and pray for your will to be done in all of our lives. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends.

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Sept. 11th

September 11, 2018

The World Trade Center cross, also known as the Ground Zero cross, is a group of steel beams found among the debris of the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan, NYC, after the September 11 attacks in 2001.

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

As we gather together today, we once again remember the tragic events of this day in 2001. That day changed our whole world in so many ways. We saw the worst in humanity and the best all at once. Images and memories are forever etched in our minds of where we were and the shock, horror, pain, loss and incredible acts of selflessness, kindness, sacrifice and unconditional love.

We lift to you all who lost loved ones because of the events on 9/11/2001. May they find some measure of comfort knowing that the world has not forgotten. This happened on U.S. soil, but there were many from other countries who also lost their lives that day. We pray for families everywhere who are feeling a sense of sadness, loss and grief today. We pray for families around the globe who have lost loved ones, their homes and their way of life due to terrorism, persecution and violence.

Lord, please bring healing to everyone whose health has been affected because they were responders on 9/11… so many suffer the physical effects of all the chemicals, dust and pollutants they were subjected to. They truly gave unconditionally of themselves and we lift them to you with gratitude in our hearts. We ask that you would bless them and their families for the sacrifices that they made and meet their every need.

Our world can be a scary place… we ask that you would help us to look to you and not the things that would make us fearful. We pray for strength and courage to endure hard times. We pray that we would learn to love our neighbor as ourselves…that we would treat others the way we would like to be treated…that we would be full of loving-kindness and compassion and that we would be reminded to pray for our enemies that they might come to know you. May we be lights in the darkness that point the way to you.

We pray that we could once again have that sense of unity and hope that we felt after 9-11. It was not only in the U.S., but it was felt around the world. For a brief, shining moment, we were united by the things that we had in common instead of being divided by our differences.

Please pour out your love, comfort and grace today on all who read this…In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Blessings to you friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Sept. 10th

September 10, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Your Word says that you have blessed us in the heavenly realms…you have seen every day of our lives before we have lived even one day… you have foreseen every attack and trial we will face…you have gifted the most incredible resources to those who trust and believe.

You have given us your Spirit as a comforter and counselor. You knew our minds would be a battlefield, so you give us a sound mind and the truth of your Word to battle back against fear and the enemy’s lies and deceptions. You give us your grace that is enough to see us through anything we face. You give us your full armor so we can successfully stand up against all attacks of the enemy. You have given us the same power that raised Christ from the dead and when we are weak, your strength is made perfect within us. You have given your angels charge over us to protect us in all our ways and you have promised to never leave or forsake us…

Help us to remember all you’ve given us when we feel afraid and anxious and too weak, weary and ill-equipped to handle our struggles …help us to remember that you have called us by name and we are precious to you…help us to walk in the freedom and victory that Christ bought for us…help us to remember the gates of hell will not prevail and nothing can stop what you have ordained…help us to carry ourselves as heirs to the Kingdom who are infused with your power and might…

Too often we get in our own way…we speak self-defeating words to ourselves…we let the hurtful words of others become our inner voice…we let the negativity and the dark things of this world overshadow your truth, goodness, light and all that is right in our lives… if we could see in heavenly realms…if the spiritual gifts you’ve given us could be seen and were tangible, surely, we would live our lives so differently…we would rise each day with no doubts, worries, fears, or hesitation to live our lives boldly and courageously for you…we would make the most of each day knowing that we are more than conquerors and the victory is already assured.

Please give us spiritual eyes to see, Lord…help us to live up to our potential, whatever that may be…help us soar, unafraid and unencumbered above the storms and winds that buffet us….please speak your healing and wisdom into our lives…renew and restore all that the enemy has taken. Help us to live with a sense of gratitude so we might appreciate and find joy even in simple, little things. Help us to take nothing for granted. Thank you, Lord for all you do for us…for all you’ve given us…for being our wonderful Abba Father. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Blessings to you friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Sept. 9th

September 9, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We thank you for the gift of friendship…we thank you for the people you bring into our lives who make us smile and laugh… we thank you for those special friends who share our joys and sorrows and who can sit in silence when we just need a shoulder to cry on… we thank you for friends who pray for us, encourage us and love us. Please bless our friends and may your favor be upon them.

You knew before we were born who would become our friends…you have orchestrated events in our lives knowing who we would need to be around us at every stage of life…  we are grateful that you call us friend…your Word says that there is no greater love than to lay down your life for your friends and because of your great love for us, you died for us…how thankful we are for your amazing love and grace that you lavish on us…may we be a good friend to you as well…

May we never take you for granted …we want to make you the priority in our lives… we don’t want our love for you to grow cold or stagnant…we don’t want to neglect our time with you… we know we need your help to do these things…our spirit is willing, but our flesh is often weak…

Please help us to love well…help us to love our neighbors as ourselves…help us to represent you well and treat each person with your loving-kindness… you care about the words we use and the way we make people feel… help us to love everyone with your love, including those who are difficult…remind us to pray not only for our friends and loved ones, but for our enemies as well…may we be concerned about a person’s spiritual well-being before anything else…help us to forgive as you forgive… may we be known for the type of kindness and compassion that you show to each of us…

Thank you for wanting only the best for us…thank you for being a friend that sticks closer than a brother…how exciting it is to think about what it will be like to spend eternity with you…to hear you laugh as you did with your disciples…to share a meal with you at your banquet table…to feel the joy and peace that will come from being in your presence…there is so much to look forward to…we love you, Lord and with gratitude and praise, we commit this day to you and all that’s in it and we ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen

Blessings be upon you my friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Sept. 8th

September 8, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

You embraced the meek, the poor and the afflicted when you were here on earth. You had compassion for those who were shunned by others. You came to heal and bind up the wounds of the brokenhearted. You came to give hope to the weary and heavy laden. You came to proclaim liberty and to give sight to the physically and spiritually blind.

People may ridicule us. People may cast us aside. People may turn their backs on us and treat us unfairly…but you love justice. For everything this world takes away from us, you will repay with untold riches. You have clothed us with the garments of salvation. You have covered us with the robe of righteousness. You are our bride groom and we are your beloved bride. You will lovingly adorn us with things that we can’t begin to imagine… you will make right all the wrongs. The suffering of this world will fade from our memories and joy everlasting will fill our hearts… we will dance before you to songs of praise.

Oh, Lord, we pray for a glimpse of heaven today. You have made ready a banquet table and you have sought to invite the outcasts, the broken, the poor and the afflicted so your table will be full and your bride complete. So many struggle with their afflictions. They don’t see their worth or purpose, they don’t know how highly valued they are because of what they endure here.

Every child of yours who holds fast to their faith in the midst of their adversity, disability or illness is a living witness to you and your sustaining grace. For every Christian who says in the midst of their struggles, “I trust God and I know He is in control”, shows the world that faith is something that the world cannot give or take away and points the way to you. Every believer who gives praise to you in the midst of their storms, gives hope to others that you are real, that we are not alone and there is help and hope for all…

May we go forth with new strength, new vision and new purpose as we cast off the things of this world for your eternal gifts. May we press on wearing your mantle of joy and leave behind all the world tries to stain us with. With outstretched hands we ask you to fill our cups today with more of you. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

You are so loved friends! Blessings be upon you!
In Him,
Debbie
