Prayer For Dec. 13th

December 13, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is today’ prayer…

Dear Lord,

Your word tells us that you give us endurance and encouragement and surely there are people praying with us who need to receive those things from you. You send encouragement in many ways. Sometimes it’s through other people and the things they say or do. Sometimes it’s through a scripture that speaks to our hearts, or a well placed word that jumps out at us somewhere. Sometimes it’s through music or perhaps even a post on social media.

Lord, we are asking for your encouragement today. Help us to be aware and mindful so we don’t miss the signs you send us. We don’t want to just keep going through life in survival mode…just limping along from one problem or crisis to another. We want to experience your encouragement and run the race before us with endurance…we want to drink from your Living Water so we will never become dry. Help us not to grow weary in well-doing. Help us to thrive and grow spiritually in the midst of adversity.

Strengthen our hearts  that we might be more than over-comers. Help us to remember that your joy is our strength. Please impart to us your gifts that enable us to sing your praises in the dark valleys and to rejoice in all things. Lord, on our own we can’t do these things, but with your encouragement, help, grace and strength we can. We wait eagerly to receive from you now and we offer up a sacrifice of praise and give you glory and honor for who you are and all that you have done. With gratitude, we ask these things in the name of our Savior Jesus. Amen

May you be overcome with His joy today!

In His love!
Debbie

Prayer For Dec.12th

December 12, 2018

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We are told in your Word that you direct the steps of a good and righteous person and you bless his path…you tell us to trust and rely confidently on you with our whole heart…to not depend on our own understanding or insight…to acknowledge and recognize you in all of our ways and you will lead and guide us  on the correct path…you will make the crooked paths straight and the rough roads smooth…your Word will be a light to our feet and on our path…You will get us to where we need to be…you don’t always lead us on the most direct route…you’ve shown us that our journey and what you have to teach us on that journey, is just as important as  reaching our destination…

Please help us to be patient as you lead us…we think of little children on a trip who are always asking, “are we there yet?”…in our humanness we want to fast forward through the difficult things…we want to bypass the things we don’t like and we get so anxious to get where we want to be…you understand us so well and you are so patient with us, but you know what is best for us…help us to trust and remember that you are the one who orders our steps…you see the obstacles and snares, as well as the blessings we would miss out on if we did everything our own way…help us to remember that there is a time and a season for all things and you make all things beautiful in your time…your ways are not our ways and your timing is not our timing…your thoughts are so above ours…we can’t even begin to think, dream or imagine all that you have planned for us…help us to seek out the joy when the  journey is longer and harder than we’d like…help us to learn to be content, to relax and to be at peace  as we wait on you  to complete the good work that you have begun in each of us…We love you Lord and we ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen

Blessings to you friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Dec. 11th

December 11, 2018

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

There is so much about faith that we don’t understand…so much about you we can’t begin to comprehend…you and your ways are such a mystery to us… we know for now, our minds can’t begin to fully take in your limitless, miraculous and all-powerful ways…but you have told us and assured of so much in your Word…

You tell believers, it no longer us who live, but it is Christ who lives within us…we are clothed with your power and righteousness…we are baptized with your Spirit who comforts us, leads us, guides us, intercedes for us and empowers us…for everyone who is feeling defeated or discouraged…for everyone who is in a place of questioning or doubting…please reveal yourself in a way that they realize that you are there with them and that you are who you say you are…

Throughout history there have always been times when you are silent…it doesn’t mean that you aren’t listening or watching… the times of silence and waiting always serve a purpose…you never turn away or take your eyes off us…you never get distracted or become too busy to bother with us…you have gone to extraordinary lengths to fulfill every promise and prophecy in your Word…

You know each star by name and hold each one in place…you have known each of us before we were in our mother’s wombs…Christ lives within us…your Spirit is within us…when we remember those facts how can we ever feel like we are abandoned, forgotten, ignored or neglected by you? You see all, you know all, you have prepared for everything that you have allowed to touch our lives…we are not on our own, you are within us and you can be no closer than that…

May each of us embrace the truth of who you are and who we are in you…help us to grasp like we never have before these incredible truths…may that knowledge stir within us courage, boldness and deeper faith…may it help us to rise up with your power and strength so we can reach our full potential and become all you know we can be…so we achieve all you know we are capable of… help us to tune out the voices that go against your Word…help us to take our thoughts captive so we don’t entertain and feed discouraging thoughts that go against your truth…may we be reminded daily that Christ is within us…The Prince of Peace has made our hearts His home…The ONE who defeated death is within us sustaining us and strengthening us and He is greater than anything in this world…help us to be aware and passionate about the miraculous truth that it is no longer us who live, but Christ who lives within us. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen

May you see yourselves as He sees you friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Dec. 10th

December 10, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for loving us despite our flaws…you know our secret thoughts…the sins that we try to hide from others…the feelings of anger, shame, guilt, resentment, jealousy, disappointment that we keep hidden inside…we ask for your help us to overcome the things that we have been unable to overcome ourselves…

So many of us carry hurts and wounds from  those who were supposed to love us…people who should know us better than anyone, yet the way they have judged and treated us, shows they don’t know us at all…their sin has blinded them to the truth and the wounds they have inflicted have been so painful and hard to heal…help us to clean out these wounds once and for all so we can heal…help us to forgive as you forgive…help us to walk in your freedom…help us to let go of the disappointments that we carry…help us to let go of the regrets of our past…the dreams that are dashed and the failures, pain and losses that have overtaken our thoughts…

Help us to be free from every tool that the enemy has tried to use to derail us and to keep us from seeing your truth…help us to dwell on things that are good, holy and pure and to remember that each day holds hope for new miracles and mercy, healing and accomplishments through Christ…help us to let go of the anchors that hold us back and keep us stuck where we are…help us to give ourselves completely to you and your will, so we can let you do your healing, restorative work in us. We want you to be glorified in our lives and circumstances…may we be still at your feet…may your Word wash over our minds…help us so our emotions are not what rule us…help us to make good decisions…

Help us to let go of the past so we can live fully in the present…help us to make the most of our days. Heal us Lord that we may be healed…create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit in us. In the name of our Savior Jesus we ask these things. Amen.

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love

Debbie

Prayer For Dec. 9th

December 9, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for waking us this morning…thank you for the possibilities that this day holds…please go before us…lead us, guide us and order our day… put people in our paths that we can share your love with…help us to spread your hope, even as we seek it… may your will be fulfilled in our lives today…may we be filled to overflowing with your peace and joy…may we experience “mental sunshine” that clears away the cobwebs and chases away the gray clouds of stress, anxiety, depression, worry and fear… help us  to see our blessings as bigger than our burdens.  When we start to feel discouraged, overwhelmed or defeated, remind us to think on you and all the times you have seen us through… please help us to live with an attitude of gratitude…we benefit in so many ways when we  focus on all that is right, instead of all that is wrong…may we exude your peace, love and joy and may others see you in us… especially in the midst of our trials, losses and grief…

Please help us to walk in your light…help us in the midst of our busy days to see your beauty in the sights, smells and sounds around us…help us not to lose our sense of humor or wonder… help us to take nothing for granted…may we find moments that make smile today…and may we be the reason that someone else smiles…

Please help us to take joy in the journey and treasure the little things… please bless us so we can bless others…may we glorify you in all that we say and do… We thank you that we have a Savior in whose name we can ask these things. Amen

I am grateful for you friends. .

Blessings, hugs and love to you,

Debbie

Prayer For Dec. 8th

December 8, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today we  lift up  everyone who has a hard time on the weekend. In our society we tend to associate weekends with fun times, but for many, the weekends are difficult…for many, the weekend is a reminder that they are alone, or their loved ones aren’t with them…for many, it is a reminder of their financial lack when they can’t go do things…for those who are ill or disabled, or for their caregivers, the days all blur together and they find they don’t have a lot to look forward to…and still for others, it is not a time of rest…their list of responsibilities and things they must take care of, just doesn’t allow for down time…there are many other reasons, Father, and you know them all…you see each person who is struggling with sadness, loneliness, illness, financial problems, weariness, being overworked and overburdened…
Please pour out your comfort, peace, grace and mercy and meet each need. Please help us to focus on all that we have, instead of what we lack. Help us not to focus on the images we see in the media that make us feel like we are missing out if we don’t have the same things or experiences as others. From a young age, we are bombarded with images of “the good life” and “happily ever-after” and we think that is how life is supposed to be for all of us, but the truth is, the images in the media are not the reality for most people.

Help us to embrace our circumstances that we might glean the lessons that you have for us… each hard place and every season we find ourselves in, is a chance to know you in different ways…a chance to learn a new lesson…  Help us to find contentment in you. You want only the best for each of your children and everything you allow into our lives serves a divine purpose that we might not see, or understand at this moment.

We ask for your peace that passes all understanding. We pray to have an overwhelming sense of your presence today. May we  trust you to provide for everything that we need. We know that you inhabit the praises of your people and so we praise you today… we praise you for who you are and we thank you in advance for all you will do. We commit this weekend to you and all that is in it. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Blessings, hugs and love to you all!
Debbie

Prayer For Dec. 7th

December 7, 2018

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

The older we get, the harder life seems to get… we face more health challenges…we see those we love decline in their health…we start losing more and more people that we love…at times we are faced with responsibilities and hard decisions that come with age where there are no good options, yet we are required to make a choice…

Lord, for everyone who is facing difficult decisions…for those who are in hard situations… we ask that they would hear your voice clearly…give them peace and courage…may they feel your comforting presence and may they be assured that you are with them and will continue to be with them in all that lies ahead…may they find support, encouragement and understanding from others…sometimes people just don’t understand what is involved behind the scenes…they don’t have all the facts…they don’t know the things that we know…  sometimes they just don’t agree…sometimes they judge wrongly… often they don’t see the pain and heartache that is involved in the decisions and choices that are being made…may everyone who is in that difficult and sometimes lonely place, find your wisdom and comfort… please be their shield when they are met with rebuke, rejection, anger or silence…

You alone know everything about each of us…one day we will all see clearly the times we misjudged, the times we took things wrong, the times we misunderstood someones intentions…the times our perceptions were clouded by pain, depression, guilt or our own life experiences…help us to have more patience, grace, sympathy and empathy towards others…especially if we can’t begin to relate to the things they are dealing with…too often we don’t really understand what others go through until we walk in similar shoes.

Help us to cling to you in difficult times…help us to focus on you and not the opinions of others…help us to have the strength to do the right things even if they are not popular with others…help us to hold our heads high when we are falsely accused, gossiped about or slandered with lies and untruths…help us to be content with the knowledge that you know the truth and it is your opinion that matters most…

Please meet each of us where we are at today …give us strength for the day…please fill us with your Holy Spirit and comfort us with your words of truth… be our peace and our shelter from the storms…we pray for our families and friends and ask that you draw them close to you and meet their needs…Thank you for walking beside us in every phase of our lives…how grateful we are to have you as our shepherd who leads us through every challenge, heartache and decision. We love you Lord and ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Blessings be upon you friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie
