Prayer For Nov. 29th

November 29, 2022

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we prepare our hearts during this Advent season, we are reminded that faith and waiting are intertwined. Your people waited and watched for the coming Messiah for centuries without a word from you, but you sent your Son to fulfill every prophecy and promise at the appointed time. We are so grateful we never have to doubt that what you promise will come to pass.

We can only imagine how Mary, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Zechariah must have felt as they watched the miraculous things that transpired around Jesus and his cousin, John the Baptist’s births. These families are such examples to us of what miracles you can work in and through those who trust and have faith in you.

Please help us in these coming weeks to be focused on our Savior so our hearts and homes will be filled with your joy, hope, peace, and comfort. We want this season to be a time of reflection on your goodness, grace, mercy, and your glory. We want to be in awe of you, your majesty, and all you’ve done to save and redeem us. Please stir and rekindle the flames of our first love for you. So many of us are numb with grief and pain…please fill the broken places in our hearts with more of yourself. Please spring up a river of joy and Living Water within us to replace any dry and barren areas in our hearts. Please create a right Spirit within us, Abba.

We are so grateful you sent us Jesus to bring good news to the poor, to comfort the brokenhearted, and to set the captives free. Thank you for the hope that His miraculous birth brought to the world. We are so humbled and blessed to have a Savior who willingly sacrificed so much for us. Thank you for the indescribable gift Jesus is to us. We humble ourselves before you and ask these things in His name, above all names. Amen.

May your cups overflow with His peace, love, and joy today, friends! You are so very loved by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Nov 24th

November 24, 2022

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for allowing us to see another Thanksgiving and for giving us another opportunity to join together in prayer. Abba, you know this year has been a struggle for so many. You see everyone who has lost loved ones…all who are dealing with health and financial issues…each person who is isolated and alone…and all who are estranged from loved ones. You understand that the holidays can be difficult when dealing with adversity, grief, and loss…but you tell us to be thankful in all things and to enter your courts with praise…for some, this may be a sacrifice of praise. Still, we want to honor you and thank you today for all that is right in our lives and world.

Thank you for all you have done to care for us, protect us, provide for us and sustain us, especially through the trials and struggles of this year. We are grateful for the many ways you bless us…for the beauty you’ve filled our lives and the world with…for the gift of salvation and our Savior Jesus.

We are grateful you are an ever-present source of help in times of trouble. We are thankful for your sustaining power and grace and for your promises that never fail. We are grateful for every healthy day we have, every breath we can take, and every beat of our hearts. We are thankful for the people you’ve put in our lives who have loved us, prayed for us, and given us memories that make us smile. We are thankful for all the freedoms we’ve known, including the ability to gather to worship you openly and freely. We are grateful we are free to come together publicly to pray and praise you. We are thankful for all who have sacrificed and given their lives and service to allow us to enjoy our precious freedoms.

Father, even with the highs and lows of this life, we know we are blessed because we have a Risen Savior who defeated death and made a way for us to be with you forever. We are thankful for all that awaits and is to come. We are grateful that no matter how hard or bad things may be, we always have many things to be thankful for.

Thank you for this day, Abba Father. We commit it to you, and all that’s in it. We thank you for comforting all who mourn and providing for every need. In the name of our Savior, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

May your hearts overflow with His peace, love, and joy today, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Nov. 23rd

November 23, 2022

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

As we gather today, we pray for those who are grieving or missing someone. We tend to feel our losses more on special dates, anniversaries, and holidays. During certain times of the year, we are reminded of how life used to be and how much life changes the older we get. Sometimes, when we are enjoying life, we think about how we wish we could share those moments with our loved ones who aren’t with us.

Today we lift to you the divorced, separated, widowed, and single…the parents who have lost children and all who are estranged, separated, or unable to be with family members this week. We pray for all who have never had a close family or the love or approval they have longed for and feel very alone. We lift up to you all who have loved ones dealing with things like dementia and Alzheimer’s and they miss the person their loved one used to be. We pray for all who are in failing health and all who have ill loved ones.

For each person who is hurting today, we ask that your healing hand would be upon them and that they would feel your comforting presence. We ask that you would turn their mourning to joy. We humbly pray that you would remove the feelings of emptiness and the longing for what was or might never be with your peace and comfort. Only you can fill the void that we all feel at times. We can only imagine what it will be like to finally feel whole and complete and lacking nothing, and what a joyous thing it will be to be united with you and reunited with our loved ones who have gone before us… when that time comes, we will be, in every way, who and what we were created to be…not lacking in any way. May these thoughts give everyone a sense of hope, peace, and comfort today…better days are ahead, and with your help, we will get through our difficult days.

Please bless all who are reading this prayer, Abba. May we sense your nearness and be overwhelmed by your supernatural love, joy, and peace today. We thank you in advance for all you will do. Thank you for our Savior Jesus, in whose name we ask these things. Amen.

Blessings be upon you, friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For Nov. 11th

November 11, 2022

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today as we honor those who have served to protect their countries, freedoms, and families, we ask you to bless each veteran and all who are serving in the military. Your Word says greater love has no man than he lay down his life for a friend. We are indebted to the men and women who have selflessly been willing to lay down their lives to protect us. So many carry the scars, emotionally and physically, for their service. We ask you to meet their needs and comfort all who grieve today. Please bless the families of those who have served, as their sacrifices are great and many as well. We can’t begin to repay or replace what our veterans and their families have lost and sacrificed, so we ask you to do what we can’t. May they feel the gratitude, love, and appreciation we have for all they have done for us.

Father, in the last few years, we have come to appreciate our freedoms in new ways. We realize how many things we have taken for granted as we face challenges and threats we have never encountered before. We ask for your help and divine intervention to maintain and keep the hard-won liberties so many sacrificed to give us. Help us be bold and courageous in our faith, fervent in our prayers, and vigilant to do our part to maintain the freedoms we’ve been given.

We ask you to go before those who serve today. Please be a hedge of protection about them. Please send your angel armies to help defend against and defeat those who mean harm. We pray good will triumph over evil and truth and justice will prevail.

We thank you for our Savior, Jesus, who gave His life to give us the ultimate freedom. We thank you for all He sacrificed and made possible for us. We are grateful a day is coming when there will be no more sin, conflict, war, or death, and we will live in safety, and in the perfect peace only you can offer. Please help us live and serve you well until you call us home. In the name of Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.

Blessings be upon you and those you love.

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Nov. 10th

November 10, 2022

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for another chance to gather again in prayer. For many, this has been a stressful and disappointing week. Abba, you say you will turn our mourning to joy. Please anoint us with the joy that only You can give. May we find lightness in spirit to replace a spirit of heaviness. Please flood our bodies with good endorphins and help us rise above life’s stresses, sorrows, disappointments, and cares. Please work in us and replenish our emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual reserves that have been depleted.

We know where discouragement comes from, and it is not of you. Please speak words of encouragement to us in this quiet time with you, Abba. You tell us that we have not because we ask not, so we ask you to restore the joy of our salvation and renew a right spirit within us. We ask that, like Job, in our latter days, we will flourish, and our future will be brighter than our past.

We are grateful that each day holds the promise and potential for a more vibrant and closer relationship with you. May we find comfort in the visual imagery of walking with you, hearing your voice, and feeling your comforting presence. Thank You for saving us, loving us, delivering us, and giving us hope. We are grateful that though we are often troubled, we are not crushed…though there are many enemies, we are never without a Friend…and though we are badly hurt at times, we are never destroyed. We are grateful that you have the last word in all things and that you do all things well. We are comforted knowing that no matter what comes or goes in this life, we are loved and held by you, and the trials of this life can’t begin to compare to the joy that is coming.

We praise you and thank you for all our blessings. Thank you for the healing, redemptive work you are doing within us and for us. We are grateful for our Savior and Messiah, Jesus, our Greatest Hope, and Treasure. It’s in His name we pray. Amen.

Blessings be upon you, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Nov. 8th

November 8, 2022

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

This is such an important day in the lives of Americans. Please help us to be anxious for nothing. We are grateful that you are in control and with us today and in all that lies ahead.

No one likes the process of elections, but we are grateful for the privilege of being allowed to vote. The people running for office may not always be our first choices. Our system is far from perfect. The people running are human, so we know they will be flawed, but so many live in countries where they do not have the right to vote. They do not have the freedoms we have. They do not have a voice. Help us never take our liberties for granted. Help us be mindful of how many brave men and women have sacrificed everything to give us our freedoms and the right to vote.

Father, you have heard the prayers lifted up by millions for this election. You know the things that cause us distress and give us pause. You know better than any of us what the outcome of this election will mean either way. You know all that is hidden and happening behind the scenes. You know the truth from the lies, the heart, and the motives behind everything said and done.

We humble ourselves before you once again and intercede for our country, leaders, states, and communities. Those who have eyes to see and ears to hear know this is not just any election. This is a spiritual battle of epic proportions. We humble ourselves before you and ask you to heal our land, Abba. When we don’t have the words to pray, we know Holy Spirit intercedes. We ask that He interpret all that is in our hearts now.

We commit this day, and all that’s in it to your hands. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We are grateful that you have the final Word in all things and are working all things together for good for those who love you. Thank you for our Savior Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.

May you feel His comfort and peace today, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Nov. 7th

November 7, 2022

Hello Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

It is becoming more challenging to find safe havens and tranquil places of rest and quiet from the chaos that is going on in the world, but your Word says you are our hiding place. We’re told that you hide those who love you in the protection of your presence. You conceal us in your shelter from the plots and conspiracies of man. You keep us secretly in a refuge from the strife of tongues. The only place we can truly find peace and rest from the cares of the world is in your presence. Worry, stress, anxiety, fear, and anger lose their power and have no place in your presence. They disappear as we release everything to your hands and worship You.

We are grateful it doesn’t matter who comes against us if you are for us. We put our trust in you, our great God and King. Thank you for preparing a table for us in the presence of our enemies. We are grateful your goodness, mercy, and unfailing love are with us all the days of our lives. Thank you for upholding and preserving all who are yours. Please help us be strong and courageous as we put our hope, faith, and trust in you.

Please help us become more disciplined and consistent with finding safety and refuge in your presence. Help us get better at drowning out the noise of the world with the comfort, hope, and encouragement found in Your Word. May your ways become our ways, and your light shine forth from us to illuminate the dark. One day at a time, one prayer at a time, one uplifting word at a time, one kind deed at a time, may we live for you and do our best to be your hands and feet in this world that so desperately needs you and the good news that Jesus offers. Thank you for being our strength, place of safety, refuge, and strong tower. How grateful we are to be held and loved by you. We offer this prayer to you in Jesus’ name. Amen.

May His promises fill you with peace and great joy, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Nov. 6th

November 6, 2022

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Thank you for bringing us to the beginning of a new day and week. Please help us see things through your eyes and grant us your wisdom and discernment so we may serve you well. Please help us hear your voice, understand your Word and grow in your knowledge and grace so we won’t be double-minded in any of our ways. Please give us direction and guidance for all our decisions and help us remember that confusion is not of you.

We want to lift our family and friends and all of their needs to you. We are grateful you are not blind to their needs, and as you are working in their lives, you are working in ours as well…teaching us how to intercede, rest, trust, let go, and not be anxious, worried, or afraid. Lord, you know our needs, innermost fears, and deepest longings. We offer everything to you today and ask that your will be done in our lives and in the lives of those we love. Please help us hold fast to what we know to be true and guard our hearts and minds.

We thank you for all you have done for us and all you are doing that we can’t yet see. We praise you for your great and marvelous works. Please lead and guide us as we commit this day and week to your hands. We thank you that we can come to you and ask these things in the name of our Savior, Jesus. Amen.

May you and your day be abundantly blessed, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Nov. 4th

November 4, 2022

Hello, Friends. Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

We are told to pick up our cross and follow you. We are grateful that even though, at times, our crosses feel much too heavy to bear, there will never come a time when you will give us more than we can carry with your help. We are thankful you are always ready to be our burden bearer, and we need only exchange what weighs us down with your yoke, which is gentle and light. When we get weary, please help us remember one day, we will be trading our cross for a crown, and our burdens will be lifted once and for all. Please help us not forget that more rests on your shoulders than on our own. Please help us focus more on you walking beside us than what we are walking through. Thank you for always being willing to give us more of yourself…and your peace, strength, joy, love, and grace to see us through our trials and struggles.

Please, Abba, help us remember to stop immediately and pray when we start to feel the weight of heavy burdens. Please, Holy Spirit, remind us the moment we begin to feel weary and overwhelmed, the words of the beloved hymn, “what peace we often forfeit, what needless pain we bear when we do not carry everything to God in prayer.” Please help us get better at casting our burdens and cares on you as we journey through this life. Please help us persevere with endurance and see our times of adversity, grief, illness, and loss as a chance to become closer to you and to become more like Jesus. Thank you for all you give and all you do for us. We bow before you with grateful hearts and open arms to receive all you have for us. In the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.

May you find rest and peace in Him today, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For Nov. 3rd

November 3, 2022

Hello Friends! I feel some might need this prayer again today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We ask for comfort for all who are having a hard time today. May we see your hand and will in every aspect of this day. Please help us rise above lack of sleep, stress, illness, or pain. We lay our burdens, worries, and cares at your feet. We lift up our loved ones and friends to you who are dealing with plates overflowing with heartache and adversity. Sometimes our hearts are so heavy as we see those we love dealing with problems of every kind. Please do what we can’t…be their strength, hope, and guiding light in the dark, and shower them with your peace and comfort this day.

Please help us love the difficult people in our lives with your love. Please help resolve the struggles and issues tearing apart families and friendships. Please keep us calm and help us be patient with others. Help us guard our tongues, so we don’t speak in anger or haste. Please remind us to pray before we speak so our words might be edifying and help us better speak your truth in love. Help us learn to cope well with the stresses in our lives and teach us to trust you with the things we cannot change.

We pray for those who have health problems related to stress. Please touch their bodies…bring down blood pressure, remove depression and insomnia…take away any anxiety, and heal GI problems, headaches, and other symptoms they may be experiencing. Please restore and replenish all who feel weary and worn out. Help their minds to be able to shut off at night so they can fall asleep quickly and get much-needed rest. We are grateful that you are in control of everything and that there is nothing too big for you to solve or handle. Please be with those we love, Abba. Please protect them, meet their needs, and draw them close to you.

Please go before us and help us to be men and women after your own heart. We are grateful you never cast us aside or are too busy to talk with us. We are thankful that nothing is too small to bring to you. We so appreciate that because of Jesus, we can come before you without hesitation or fear. We rejoice with gratitude and praise you, Lord of All Creation. We are humbled to know you delight in us…take pleasure in us…that you have clothed us with the garments of salvation and covered us with the robe of righteousness. We are eternally grateful for your love and for calling us your own. Thank you for our Savior Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.

May you have a peace-filled day!

Much love in Him,
Debbie
