Prayer For July 14th

July 13, 2020

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We come before you today and we ask for your blessing to be upon our families and our homes. Please be the head of our relationships and households. May our homes be filled with harmony and your peace and presence. May our homes be a sanctuary and safe haven from the turmoil and cares of the world.

With all that is going on during these difficult times, our stress levels are higher. There are fewer outlets available due to quarantines and shutdowns to get out and de-stress.  Please ease the tensions in any strained relationships. Help us to find healthy ways to deal with all of our cares, anxiety, stress, sleepless nights, and frustrations so we don’t take anything out on those around us. Help us to treat others the way we want to be treated and to love with your love.

We pray for the homes where there is abuse, addictions, infidelity, or an unhealthy environment.  Please change hearts, minds, and lives and make things better than they’ve ever been. Please heal and restore broken and damaged relationships. Please deliver and make a way of escape for all who are in harm’s way.

We pray for all who are feeling the weight from being unable to work and the stress of financial problems. We ask for your divine intervention and provision for those who are struggling to pay their bills and to feed their families. Please supply abundantly from your storehouses, and replace worry, fear, and anxiety with your comfort and peace.

We pray for all the families who are dealing with grief, loss, divorce, illness, and injuries. We ask for your strength, comfort, and guidance as they navigate the uncharted waters they find themselves in. May they find healing, hope, and help from you. We lift up all who are single, the widowed, and all who are alone with no one to rely on for help. Please bring people and resources into their lives.

Lord, please use this time to draw us closer to you and those we love.  May these times make us more appreciative of all we’ve been blessed with and help us to take nothing for granted. Please help us to love better, and be more attentive to the needs of those around us. May others see you in us. Thank you in advance for all you will do. In Jesus’ name, we ask these things. Amen

Blessings be upon you, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For July 13th

July 12, 2020

Hello Friends! I feel led to re-post this prayer today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the blessing of seeing another day. Thank you for your mercies that are new this morning and for your grace that will see us through this day. Today, help us to rise up and be confident in these truths…we are not under our circumstances, we are under the shelter of your wing. You, the Creator of All, are our refuge and safe haven. We are held with your righteous right hand. We are loved and cherished by you.

Open our eyes to see the spiritual realities that surround us. Christ has defeated death. He is seated next to you in the heavenly realms, and He is interceding for us at this moment. We serve a risen King who cannot be defeated. At times we feel like we are sinking under the weight of hardships, pain, losses, and trials, and we lose sight of the fact that Christ is the solid ground on which we stand. His victory is our victory! He is alive, death is defeated, He is ours, and we are His.

Your Word is full of passages that tell us to remember…to remember your teachings. Remember your past miracles. Remember who we are in you. Remember, you are our Rock and Fortress. Remember that you are mindful of us…your thoughts are for us. If we could count your thoughts towards us, they would number more than the grains of sand. The Holy Spirit dwells within us. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is within us. Immanuel is with us and will never leave us. Help us to be mindful of who we are as your heirs and children. Too often, we settle for crumbs when you have made a place for us at your table. We are not beggars or paupers. We are children of the King. Every time we call out to you and pray to you, we bring your power…the power of the omnipotent God into our lives and circumstances.

Help us to be open to all you want to do in us and through us, Father. Help us to seek you, more than we seek your blessings, or to seek relief from our burdens and pain. Grant us your wisdom and discernment. Light our way and illuminate the darkness that surrounds us. Help us to see ourselves and our circumstances through your eyes. May your Word come alive in us like never before. Help us to surrender to your will and purposes and relinquish the things of his world so we might receive all that you have for us. Please move in us and among us. We give you all praise, glory, and honor and look forward to all that is to come. It’s in the name of our Savior Jesus, we ask these things. Amen.

May you have a glorious day in Him, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For July 12th

July 12, 2020

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

When we are dealing with trials, pain, loss, and grief, it can feel like we’re caught up in a raging storm. It’s hard to see or think clearly. Everything seems off, and nothing seems right. It’s hard to get our bearings. We don’t have a sense of when the storm will end, or what will be left standing after it’s over.

You know how hard it is for us to live in the moment. You know how difficult it is to feel peaceful amid our storms. Yet, it is possible through Jesus. Peter was able to literally walk on water in the middle of a storm-ravaged sea by keeping his eyes on Christ. While the disciples panicked during a storm, Jesus slept soundly. You tell us that those who abide in you are safe under the shelter of your wing. The safest place we can be in any storm is by your side. What we can never do on our own, we can do with Christ’s help.
Please help us, Father, to have your peace that defies our circumstances.  Help us to remember that no matter what is going on around us, you are our stability and the source of our peace. It’s not the absence of the storms that give us peace, it’s your presence in the storm that matters. We are held safely and securely in your hand as surely as you keep the earth spinning in place. Help us to find rest in you. When we are called to wait for answers and outcomes, help us to wait well.

We give you our fears, grief, pain, sadness, insecurities, anxious thoughts, illnesses, our troubled relationships, and situations. We give you our financial needs, all of our questions, frustrations, and all of the things that keep us awake at night. We give you all of our concerns for our family and friends. We give you all of the things that are beyond our control. We ask to trade these things for your peace and your yoke that is gentle and light. We ask for your divine intervention and for your will to be done in the situations we bring to you. We know the storms we are dealing with are teaching us things that we can’t learn when things are calm, and we have smooth sailing. Please calm the storms within us, and fill us with your peace while we wait for you to still the storms around us. Please do a mighty work in us, Father, that we might grow and mature spiritually. We want to be more faith-filled like Peter. We want to trust you so much we would be willing to step out of our boats and do the impossible with your help. We thank you for our Savior, in whose name we ask these things, Amen.

May you have a peace-filled day, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For July 11th

July 11, 2020

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

When there is a tragedy, disaster, or pandemic, we are impacted by it, but life is still going on an ebbing and flowing with problems that are non-disaster related. Today we join together and pray for every person who needs your help, your healing, your protection, your comfort, your provision, and your peace.

Many people are feeling battle-weary, and they need to be infused with your strength and hope. You know each of us by name. You care about every detail of our lives and every need. Please meet people where they are and fill their cups to overflowing with the things that only you can give. We are grateful that you don’t just say, “have some strength, here it is.” When we are weak, Christ is strong within us. You don’t just give us gifts, you give us more of yourself. You give not as the world gives. You give what the world can’t take away. Help us to be mindful of all that is ours because we are yours.

Sometimes when life is hard, we can’t see past what we are going through. We forget that our afflictions, though they don’t feel like it, are momentary when compared with eternity. This life is just a tiny fragment of our eternal life. Soon we will see you face to face, and everything we’ve gone through in this life will fade away in an instant. All the brokenness of this life will be eclipsed by the joy of spending eternity with you. You have told us to encourage each other with these truths. There is coming a day with no more tears or pain, no more sorrow, no more sin, no more selfishness and evil, no more suffering, and no more death.  Our citizenship is in heaven. This world is not our home, and we are only passing through. Our future is bright because of Jesus, and we are grateful for that. What an amazing day awaits when we will be embraced and welcomed home by our Savior. Help us to cling to these truths and promises when life is hard, Father.

We grieve, but we do not grieve as those who have no hope.  We pray that the tragedies and pain that have our world in its grip will draw people close to you and make them see their need for you.

May everyone praying with us feel your nearness today. Life is hard, but you are good, and you are faithful to take care of us. We love you, Abba. We are grateful for all you do for us and all that is to come. In the name of our wonderful Savior Jesus, we pray. Amen.

May you have a peace-filled weekend, friends.

You are loved,
Debbie

Prayer For July 10th

July 10, 2020

Hello Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

We are grateful that you are our hope. The future of our world is so accurately foretold in your Word. You tell us not to be surprised when we see things unfolding as we’ve been told they would.  We admit, though, the things that are happening in our country, we never thought we would see. Our world is changing so rapidly. Change is hard. Many changes at once, is even harder. Dealing with the changes that are happening on top of the personal issues we are dealing with is difficult at best and debilitating on our worst days.

Father, we look to you to be our shelter, comfort, and strength. At times the news, turmoil, chaos, anger, divisiveness, corruption, lies, and evil, is overwhelming. For those with plates that are so full of sadness and hard things, we just want an escape from it all. We have faith, Father, but we are hurting. We don’t have to tell you…you know. We are grateful that you are with us wiping our tears and that you are near to the brokenhearted, binding our wounds.

Please help us to keep looking up to you, the source of our help, hope, and peace. May these struggles we are all going through, make us better not bitter. May they draw us closer to you and each other. May we be guided by your Spirit and not our emotions. Help us to encourage ourselves with your truth… you have not given us a spirit of fear, but a sound mind, so we can take our thoughts captive. Help us to keep our eyes and thoughts focused on you and not the troubles and pain that surrounds us. Some days are just harder than others. We are grateful that you are full of loving-kindness and compassion and that you promise to comfort us in all of our afflictions.

As we come before you at this moment, help us to rise up with your power and might. Help us rise above the noise that surrounds us and hear your voice guiding, soothing, encouraging, and comforting us. Help us to remember that we can face this day and every day to come because Jesus lives. We thank you and praise you for your joy, which is our strength, your grace that will sustain us, your love that fills us, and your light that guides us. It’s in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

May God’s blessing be upon you all!

With much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For July 9th

July 9, 2020

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

Please help us to trust you for the things we don’t yet understand.  You do everything well, carefully, and with forethought. You have wisdom and knowledge beyond anything we can comprehend. We’re so grateful that we can come to you like children and trust you as our Father. This world is such a scary and unsettling place right now. We can wonder, argue, discuss, worry, and lament for hours on end about how things got this way and what should and could be done to fix what’s broken. The bottom line is, we need to just bring our concerns, worries, fears, anger, and sadness to you and know that you are not scared. You are not worried. You are not overwhelmed, intimidated, or daunted by anything that is happening. You are holding us, protecting us, leading us and guiding us, and speaking your words of comfort and encouragement to us. You offer us protection and refuge. In your presence, we find an escape from the cares of the world. There is no safer place to be than with you. Peace is not the absence of troubles, but your presence amid our struggles.

Where you are, there is beauty, order, peace, and joy. Everything fades away and becomes still and calm in the light of your glory. Chaos, uncertainty, worry, fear, and anxiety can’t exist in your presence. These are great gifts you give us during our trials and suffering. You are our sanctuary…our safe harbor and our refuge from the world. No matter where we find ourselves physically, we can enter into your presence through prayer, praise, and worship. Thank you for making a way for us to experience glimpses of your glory and what heaven will be like. Thank you for all you offer us and for all you do for us. Thank you for loving us so well.

May our hearts be still and at rest with the knowledge that you are with us. May we be filled with excited anticipation to see you and spend time with you…like a bride anxiously waiting for her wedding day. May our heart’s overflow with the knowledge that we are so deeply loved, adored and treasured by you. We lay everything before you.  We ask that your will would be done on earth as it is in heaven. We praise you and thank you for all that you are, all that you do, and all that is to come. We love you, Father, and we thank you that we can come before you in the name of our Savior and Messiah, Jesus. Amen.

May His peace and love fill you to overflowing, friends!
In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For July 8th

July 8, 2020

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Our Father,

We thank you for your goodness, your grace, and your power and authority over every situation we face. We are grateful that you have already made a way through and a plan for all we will encounter. What a blessing it is to know that you have figured out the where, when, why, and how of every aspect of our lives. We are grateful you are still the same miracle-working God who turned water to wine, miraculously gave the widow oil to sell, placed a coin in a fish’s mouth, and filled the apostle’s nets to overflowing. You have promised to provide for our every need, according to your riches in glory. We praise you because you, who promise, are faithful.

Please fill us with your Holy Spirit and cleanse us from our sins and anything that displeases you. Help us to be aware of anything in our lives that draws us away from you and keeps us from being the people you’ve called us to be. Help us to be willing to say “yes” to you, even when it’s scary. Help us to be like Mary, Jesus’ mother. She was such a young woman when she learned she had been chosen for what no other woman would ever experience. She knew she would be judged and that some people would never understand…but she bravely said, “yes.” Her life and all of our lives were forever changed because of her faith. The apostles said, “yes” to Jesus, and their lives and our world were forever changed by their faith. Help us to be people of courage, conviction, and great faith like so many who have gone before us.

Sometimes you ask us to do things that are out of our comfort zones. At times you ask us to do things that others won’t understand or approve of. You often call us to do things that are beyond what we can do in our own strength and abilities, but all things are possible for Jesus, and we can do all things through Him who gives us strength. Help us to be confident not in our own abilities, but in yours as you work in our lives and circumstances. Help us to remember you are always working behind the scenes, even when you seem silent.

We dedicate our lives and this day to you. Though things seem out of control and chaotic in our world, we know that you are still on the throne, and fulfilling your plans and orchestrating all that you have said will come to pass. We are grateful that you hold us and all of our days safely in your hands. Help us to trust you and your timing with our every need. We thank you in advance for the blessings that we know are on the way. In the mighty name of our Savior Jesus, we pray. Amen

May you feel God’s nearness and power, friends!

In His love,
Debbie

Prayer For July 7th

July 7, 2020

Hello, Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today…

Dear Lord,

Thank you for being our strong tower…our place of refuge that we can run to when life becomes too hard…our place of rest when we just feel beat up, worn down, and empty. When we run to you, we don’t have to explain what has happened…we don’t have to try to make you understand our side of things…we don’t have to try to convince you of anything. You see. You understand. You are full of compassion and long to comfort us and give us shelter from the storms and our enemies. You offer to dry our tears, bear our burdens, and take our pain upon yourself.

We are grateful that you are our loving Abba Father and The Great Physician. You know what we need and when we need it. You are moved by our pain, and you are never closer than when our hearts are breaking. You are Immanuel, God, who is with us. You are with us in our physical pain, our loneliness, our sorrow, and our times of uncertainty. You feel our sadness and brokenness. You know every fear and anxious thought we have. You understand each sigh and the unspoken words of our deepest pain and longings.

You tell us when we are weary and feel heavily laden with burdens to come to you, and you will give us rest. We come to you today, and we want to lay everything before you. We give you the situations that we don’t know how to deal with. We give you our troubled relationships, our financial needs, our illnesses, injuries, disabilities, and our physical, mental, and emotional pain. We give you our grief, our concerns for our loved ones and friends, and all of the things they are dealing with. We give you our fears and stress and all of the things we are helpless to change and everything that robs us of our joy, peace, and sleep.

You are our greatest gift, blessing, and treasure. You are the silver lining in every cloud…the hope that sustains us and the light that guides us. Thank you for the gifts of your presence…your comfort…your peace. Thank you for supporting us and seeing us through all of our days.

Take our lives, Lord. Renew, refresh, restore, and replenish every area that is depleted and in need of your healing touch. May our spirits and thoughts be right, holy, and pure. May our cups overflow with your peace today. We love you, and we are so very grateful for your amazing, saving grace. It’s in Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen

May you feel His nearness and comfort today, friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Prayer For July 6th

July 6, 2020

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this day and week. As we go forward this week, help us to remember Calvary. When we are tempted to think that our lives are over or worthless…when we are tempted to focus only on our hardships…when we are struggling to see your hand at work… help us to remember that if you can bring new life, salvation, and redemption from something as horrible as the cross, you can bring beauty from the ashes in our lives. You can turn our burdens into blessings. You can turn our messes into messages of your grace. You can turn our tests into testimonies of your faithfulness. You waste nothing in our lives, and everything is useful in your plans.

We are grateful you are the God of the impossible…The Giver Of Life…and The God of All Power and Knowledge. You transform lives and hopeless situations. Every time we are discouraged…every time we are tempted to give up and think there is nothing else that can be done, help us to remember that things aren’t over until you say they are over. Help us to remember that you have options, ideas, and resources that we can’t begin to imagine. You took the cross and all its horror and ugliness and turned it into a tool of mercy, grace, and forgiveness. You alone can bring new life from death. Each day that passes brings us one day closer to being with you…one day closer to the things that are incorruptible…one day closer to new life, endless joy, and your perfect peace that will never fade away. We are grateful that the best is yet to come!

Father, we give you praise, glory, and honor this day. Please fan the flames of our faith. Help us to find that place of awe and wonder that the King of Kings would care so much for us to die in our place. May we be humbled and consumed by the agape love you have for us. We are so grateful to be clothed in righteousness and made holy by The One who is holy. Thank you for all you’ve done and all that you are. We offer up this day and week, and all that is in it. May you be glorified in all that we think, say, and do. We thank you for our Savior Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen

May your week be blessed, friends!

In His Love,
Debbie

Prayer For July 5th

July 5, 2020

Hello, Friends. I feel led to re-post this prayer today…

Dear Lord,

At times we feel helpless. We feel like we have no real power or ability to make a difference. We see the forces of evil at work and we see the pain that people inflict on each other. There is so much that is upsetting…so much that stirs righteous anger within us…so much we wish could be changed…

Lord, help us take our pain and anger and turn it into prayers. Help us not to lose sight of the powerful tools you have equipped us with. The bottom line to all the horrific things happening in the world is we are not fighting against flesh and blood. We are fighting one real enemy who is behind it all and you have defeated him. The battles are still raging, but the war is already won. Help us to keep pressing in and pressing on unto you call us home.

Help us to be mighty warriors in prayer and instruments of your love, peace, and comfort. Help us to remember that every act of kindness matters. Every prayer that is uttered matters. Every time we comfort someone, it matters. Every time we point the way to you, so others can find your hope, it matters. We never know when one kind word might be the word that saves a life. We never know when an act of love or compassion might be the only one a person has received for a very long time. Please help us to remember that we are here for a reason. We have a purpose. We are here to bear witness to the truth of who you are, so people can find you before it’s too late.

These are troubling times and it can be overwhelming when we are already dealing with our own grief, loss, adversity, or illness. Please pour out your grace and comfort. We pray for every hurting heart…for everyone who is dealing with loss and sadness…for everyone who feels like the weight of the world is on their shoulders…for everyone who is anxious, worried, and fearful…for everyone who feels discouraged or despondent… for everyone who is in need of a financial miracle and for all who need physical, emotional, or mental healing. You see each need. You are near to the brokenhearted…may they feel your nearness. May they find your strength in their weakness. May they find hope to hold on until they see your light break through the darkness.

We pray for protection for all who serve and protect us. So many of them are disheartened and discouraged. Please don’t let those who do everything right, be persecuted for those who do things wrong. Many innocent lives are being shed all around the world for many reasons and it is heartbreaking. We know that in your eyes, every life matters and you grieve with those who grieve.

Please bless everyone who is reading this. May they feel your comfort surround them. May they feel secure in the knowledge that you see all, know all, and you are still on the throne. We offer you our burdens and thank you in advance for all you will do. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen

Blessings be upon you, friends!

In His love,
Debbie
