Prayer for December 15th

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

How often the enemy tries to keep us from claiming what rightfully belongs to children of the King. He tries to steal our joy. He tries to steal our peace. Christ came to give us life and life more abundantly…that is for all eternity…that includes now.
That life abundant does not mean riches or things that the world can take away. The abundant life that is offered when we make Christ our Savior, is something the world cannot offer, or take away. Riches will not last. Our youth, bodies and health will fail us. But what is from Christ will never fade away…His peace in the storms is one of those gifts that no one can take from us, but we can forget that it there for us…freely offered and given to us by you, Lord…help us to find that place of peace today that defies logic and our circumstances.

Lord, You allow trials in our lives not to discourage us, but to know you in ways we’ve never known and cannot know in the good times. Trials and losses are not meant to be easy, but they are meant to draw us close to You. They are allowed, so we can tap into Your power and Your strength when we are weak. Lord, we don’t want to fail. We don’t want to stay stuck in our pain and our grief and our brokenness. We don’t want to fixate on what we don’t have, we want to rejoice in all we do have. We want to remember that this life is just to prepare us for what lies ahead. We grieve, but not as those who have no hope. Our suffering is creating an opportunity for you to show yourself to us and to show us how great and mighty you are…You are awesome in power and mighty to save Lord.

Lord, we are broken hurting people, but there is power in Your name. There is healing in Your name. There is hope in Your name. Yours is the name above all names and You are our strength and our song.

Lord though the world may storm and rage around us, may all be calm and bright in our hearts this day. Thank you that we are more than conquerors in You Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!

Much love in Him,
Debbie
