Prayer for January 11th

January 11, 2014

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We come before you today and we ask that you would bless our homes. May they be filled with peace, harmony and your presence. We ask that they would be a sanctuary of peace where love, compassion and understanding live. We ask for your angels to protect us and keep us safe. Please watch over our households and those we love. Please keep all evil from our homes, Lord.

Lord, we ask no matter where our family members live, that you would draw them close unto yourself. We ask that you would bring the prodigals home. We ask that those who don’t know you would be saved. We ask that each member in our family would treat each other with respect and kindness and remember the value and worth that each of us has. We ask for a truce in strained relationships and true understanding of each others needs. May there be unconditional love and healing… forgiveness… and a true appreciation for how important family is and how short life is. May we strive to love each other as Christ loves us and never take each other for granted.

We pray for homes that deal with abuse. We pray for all the marriages that are far from being the loving, supportive unions that you intended them to be. We ask that you would do miracles, Lord. We ask for you to change hearts, minds and lives and make things better than they’ve ever been…better than they could ever dream or imagine. Please restore relationships and marriages according to your will. We pray for healing of hurts and the ability to forgive and to ask for forgiveness. Lord, may you be the firm foundation upon which our lives and our relationships are built.

We pray for the families that are homeless now or are about to be homeless. For all those who are struggling to provide for their families in the face of all sorts of adversity. We pray for those who are feeling the weight of lack of jobs and financial problems. We pray for divine intervention and provision Lord. Please supply abundantly from your storehouses for your children.

We pray for all those families that are suffering with grief and loss… health problems and injuries. We ask for strength and comfort as you help them to endure under stress, sadness and loss. We ask for healing and provision for every need, Lord. Please replace worry and anxiety with your comfort and peace.

We pray for the single…for the widowed…for those who have no family…for those who are estranged or living far from family…please bring friends and brothers and sisters in Christ into their lives to love them and care for them. Please bring people to stand beside them to share in their joys and sorrows and to be the family that they long for. Thank you for the bonds of friendship that can be as strong as any blood ties. For those who long to be married… for those who long to have children or a family to call their own…Lord, please fulfill and grant the desires of their hearts according to your will and in your timing. Lord, please meet every need… spoken and unspoken… and we thank you in advance for what you will do. In the name of Jesus we ask these things, Amen.

May your weekend be blessed beyond measure!

In His love,
