Prayer for January 14th

January 14, 2014

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Father God,

We pray that you would help us to seek out the positive perspectives in our situations. Most people tend to think “worst case scenario”… fear the worst, instead of believing the best…to see the pitfalls, instead of the pluses…to see the negatives, before the positives. Help us to seek your perspective and insight in every situation and circumstance in our lives. Help trust to be our default reaction, instead of doubt. May faith grip us instead of fear. Help us to stand, when we want to run. Help our first response to be “God’s got this”, instead of “what am I going to do?”

Help us to always be mindful you are working in every situation… in every circumstance… in every heartache… in every loss…Before things even happen, you have a plan on how to work things for our good…You know exactly how to help us to triumph and overcome… to be all that you want us to be. We are like clay in the potter’s hand… we are broken down, but not destroyed. Our hearts are being shaped and molded into something that will not be easily crushed and when you are finished with us, we will be a shining reflection of our Savior.

So many Lord are struggling on some level… many still have gaping holes and what feels like bleeding wounds…but you are working in each life no matter where they are at in life or the healing process. You are our Divine Physician, binding our wounds and healing our hurts and the pains and losses of life. Lord, we thank you for the provision that is coming…for the healing and restoration that is coming… we thank you that we can rest in you today… we are not alone or abandoned … any sense of isolation we may feel, can become a place of sanctuary and time with you, if we allow you to work in our hearts. Lord, may we feel your closeness this day. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

May the promises of God fill you with peace and comfort today!

Hugs and love to you all,
