Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for another day of life and another chance to come together in prayer. Lord, we know that prayer is for more than just lifting up our needs to you. It’s a time to hear your voice. It’s a time to let you change us from the inside out. When we are close to you in prayer, it shows in our lives. It draws people closer to you, as you are seen in us. When we become prayer warriors… and as others see those prayers answered, it strengthens the faith of the believers around us… and it helps to draw unbelievers to you. Oh, Lord, we miss out on so much that you have for us by being in a hurry and by not understanding how truly powerful and life changing a prayer life can be.

Father, please help us to have a prayer life, like Hannah, in the book of Samuel did. She prayed and sought you, Lord. She poured out her soul before you. She was not satisfied to live with the pain in her life. She prayed big and bold, asking you to do a miracle that was so huge that all the people would know only You could do such a work in her life. She prayed for a son that she could dedicate to you and as hard as it must have been to hand him over, she kept her word when you blessed her with that son, Samuel. What fruit came from her fervent prayer.

Lord, when we pray from our soul, it’s not a quick little prayer said in haste. It’s prayer that wrestles with us to relinquish all of our problems, worries and cares till we come to that place of perfect peace that trusts you, as we pray for your will. We have so many needs Lord, but you are our greatest need. Wanting your will for our lives should be our highest priority and then things will be added unto us. To be pleasing to you should drive all that we think, say and do. Help us Lord to make the most of our time with you. Help us to pray without ceasing throughout the day. We want to know you better Lord and to be pleasing to you.

Lord, we are praying for miracles…not just for the answers to our prayers…but for life transforming miracles where people will never be the same, because they have come to know you in ways they have never known you before. We ask for you to pour out your spirit upon us today, Lord. Let us hear you and see your hand, so we might glorify you and point the way to you. We pray, believing, that as we surrender doubt, fear, anger, unforgiveness and everything that we cling too tightly to, that you are going to bring healing and change. As we surrender our desires and the outcomes we seek to our prayers… as we ask instead for your perfect will to be done…we believe that we are going to see answers far greater and better than what we could imagine . Lord, we trust you and believe you to work in our lives. We look forward to what you will do. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Blessings, hugs and love,
Debbie
