Prayer for January 25th

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

Today we want to ask for help for those who are anxious and worried. There are those who are praying with us that have a pit in their stomach and are filled with a sense of dread…they are worrying about what is to come…worrying about loved ones…worried about their circumstances and how they will get through them…some have anxiety and panic disorders and no matter how much they try not to worry… or try to curb their anxious thoughts, their bodies and minds betray them and they feel a constant state of apprehension that takes a toll on them both physically and mentally. Some have conditions that cause their minds to get stuck on thoughts and it is such a struggle to untangle themselves from the damaging thoughts and feelings that they fixate on.

Lord, no matter what the cause of these anxieties or worries … whether it’s a lack of faith, a chemical imbalance in the brain or a genetic trait…we ask for your divine intervention and help. We ask that you would bind the enemy from coming against them. We pray for you to touch minds and bodies and set each one free from the thoughts that drive them and keep them from the peace that you offer. We pray for healing, Lord. We pray for release. We pray for comfort and we pray for your peace to fall now, even as we are praying.

We pray that each one would feel a sense of serenity and a sense of safety as they rest in your arms and in your presence. We pray that your words would drown out the fears. We pray that you would help them to get out of the mental ruts that keep their thoughts locked on things that fill them with worst case scenarios and make them forget your track record of rescues and promises fulfilled. We pray that they could let go of negative thoughts, habits and patterns that keep them going in circles instead of moving forward. We pray they will not worry about the future or dwell on the past. We ask that each one would find comfort and assurance as they remember that you are in control and you are our burden bearer. Give them a sense of hope. Refresh them with a sense of calm that overtakes and floods their hearts, minds and souls and may they find a place of rest and relaxation in you.

Father, please meet every need… spoken and unspoken. We ask for healing in all areas…physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and financial. We cling to you and reach out to you like the woman who touched the hem of your garment. We ask you to do what we are unable to do ourselves…we ask you to heal what doctors and medications have failed to heal…we ask you to take control of our thoughts and help us to dwell on those things that are lovely and pure and that will fill us with peace… help us think on things that give us hope and draw us closer to you. Be glorified in us, Lord. We thank you because you are faithful and you will finish the work you’ve begun in us. Help us not to hinder that work by questioning where you are or what you’re doing in our lives. Thank you in advance for the answers and deliverance that you are orchestrating in our lives. We love you Lord and we praise you. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

May you feel His peace overwhelm you this weekend!

Blessings, hugs and love,
