Prayer for February 7th

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

Today we want to lift up all who are just going through the motions of living…we pray for the ones who are essentially on auto-pilot. They walk through a gray colored world, oblivious to all that is around them. Grief can make us numb…lack of sleep can leave us in a fog…loss of hope can strip us of all feeling.

Lord, we pray for our all who feel this way and ask that you would meet them where they are at and walk with them. Even if they don’t feel you, please show them signs that you are there. May they see your light shining in their darkened world. If they need medical or professional help, may they be inspired to seek it and may they be led to the right doctors. We pray for financial provision for all who need medial treatment or counseling, but can’t afford it. May they find comfort and wise counsel from spiritual leaders and the support of friends and family. Please help each of us Lord, to see the beauty and colors in life again.

Lord, we pray for those who are depressed. We pray for those who have PTSD. We pray for those who have chronic illness or painful injuries. We pray for all the parents who are overwhelmed. We pray for all the caregivers of parents, spouses and children who barely have time to take care of themselves because their plates are so full. Lord, these situations can make the days run and blur together. Sometimes, life is just one medical or emotional crisis after another and it seems as though the heartache will never end. Father, may your presence be felt in the middle of the sleepless nights… in the middle of every procedure… in the midst of every clean up and lonely night spent crying. You are there in the details of our lives, Lord. May we feel your presence like never before. You are not watching from afar with a detached view of things. You are kneeling beside us as we serve and cope and press in, with every area of our lives.

Lord, please pour out your grace and mercy. Help us view things in light of eternity. All the hard, difficult stuff that seems like it will last forever, won’t. The pain, heartache, suffering, depression and pain is all going to fade away sooner than we realize. Every good thing that lies ahead will last for eternity. Help us remember that everything is allowed into our lives for a reason and help us to see you in the hard things. May we grow spiritually, so we can say, “your grace is enough to sustain us”. May your hope spring forth and fill each of us praying with your peace, joy and comfort! Thank you for seeing us through another week Lord. You are so gracious and patient with us and we thank you for being such a wonderful Father. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Better days are coming friends, keep holding on and pressing in!

Blessings, hugs and love to you all,
