Prayer for February 15th

February 15, 2014

Hello, Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for your love and for the encouragement you offer us in your Word. As we pray today, Lord, I’d ask for my brother’s and sister’s, that they would be encouraged by your thoughts for them…that they would be reminded of who they are in Christ. Lord, in this quiet moment, as our hearts and minds are still before you, may we take our eyes off of things of this world and just be reminded of how closely you watch over us and how intimately acquainted you want to be with us. May we be reminded of how much you love us and how richly you have lavished your goodness and gifts upon us. Lord, may your Word speak to our hearts, as if you were speaking only to us…

Thank you Lord, that we are your children…that we are new creations and the old things have passed away… thank you for your angels that camp around those who fear you, and thank you for watching over us as a Shepherd tends his flock…we are precious in your sight…you know us by name and you know the number of hairs on our head…our blood is precious to you and precious to you is the death of your saints… we have been bought with a price…we are called friends and we have been given the fullness of Christ… we have direct access to your throne of grace… we are free from condemnation…we are assured that you are working for our good and that you have a good plan for our lives…we have been established, sealed and anointed by God…we have been given a spirit of power, love and a sound mind that overcomes fear… we can do all things through Christ and nothing shall be impossible…we are more than conquerors…we are saved by grace and redeemed by the blood of The Lamb…

Oh, Father, may we walk in victory today…may we remember who we are in you and the high price that you paid so we can be redeemed. May we stand boldly and confidently with your courage and your strength and wearing the armor that you have given us, to withstand the fiery darts and attacks from the enemy. May we remember this is not our home and we are only passing through and that the hardships and difficulties of this life are only a very small blip on our eternal radar screens and one day soon it will all fade away as we step into glory. Life is hard but you are good, Lord and you give us so graciously everything we need to not only overcome, but to joyfully endure until you call us home.

Come, Lord, we pray and do a mighty work in us  that we might glorify you in all that we say and do and so we might be lights in this dark world that point the way to you. We thank you in advance for the things  you are already working on and preparing the provision for all of our needs. We commit this day to you and thank you for another day of life. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

May you have a safe and blessed weekend!

In His love,
Debbie Kay
