Prayer for February 17th

Hello, Friends! Here is he prayer for today…

Our Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this new day and this new week. As we start this day, Lord, may we be reminded to put on our spiritual armor so we might defend ourselves well against anything we come up against. Lord, it is not a suggestion, but a commandment to us, to put on our spiritual armor, but so often we forget until we are in the midst of a battle. Father, stir our hearts and memories, so we will remember before our feet even hit the floor in the morning to start the day with you and to prepare ourselves for all that lies ahead each day. May visualizing putting on our spiritual armor become as natural to us as brushing our teeth and eating each day.

Help us to stand firm in your truth by putting on the Girdle of Truth…it supports our core…it helps us stand strong and upright… it strengthens us so we won’t believe the enemy’s lies… may we learn to meditate on your Word day and night, so we might find your peace as we think on things that are true, lovely and pure.

As we put on the Breastplate of Righteousness, may it guard our hearts and keep them pure…may our hearts long for things that are Holy and true and keep us close to you. May we remember that our heart is Christ’s home and that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. May we take protecting them seriously.

As we put on the Shoes of Peace, may we stand strong in the good news that Jesus brings…may people see Your light in us…may they see Your eyes of love looking through us…may they see that You are, our peace in the storms of life…may they see through our witness, something different in us that draws them closer to you.

Lord, as we take up the Shield of Faith, may we find courage as it equips us to withstand the fiery darts of doubt, confusion discouragement, hopelessness, deceit, anxiety, despair and fear that the enemy constantly tries to use against us. Help us to remember that you have gone before us, the battle is won…you have defeated Him. Help us to claim the victory that is ours and help us to stand strong, to not give up or retreat, but to defend ourselves against his weapons of war.

Lord, as we put on the Helmet of Salvation, may we visually see in our mind a helmet that protects us from unwanted thoughts…from things that distract us …from sins that beset us… from memories that hold us back and from anxious thoughts. Help us to picture that helmet being a barrier between us and the things of the world that would take our eyes and mind off of you.

And Lord, as we take up the Sword of the Spirit… may Your Words, which are likened unto a two-edged sword, cut down the Goliath’s in our lives…may we remember that nothing we will ever face is bigger, stronger or more powerful than you…and may we remember that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead, lives in us. Lord, may we walk in the victory that is ours, not because of who we are, but because of WHO YOU ARE!

Lord, you told us there would be trials and tribulations in this world, but to not be afraid, because you have overcome the world. You have given us the ultimate “pep-talks” in your word. You have not left us defenseless…you have not left us powerless…you have not left our side…and if we only have the faith the size of a mustard seed, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. May these words of truth fill us with hope, strength and joy as we go out to face this week. Thank you, Lord for who You are and for all you do in our lives! In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

May you walk in His victory this week friends!

In His love,
Debbie

    Jan G. G,
Thank YOU Father God for all the daily Blessings that YOU have giving to ME and MY FAMILIES/FRIENDS. Please continue to strengthen me in working out getting Home Heating Oil. You see how much snow days we are getting, with low tempertures, I had used up all the little money that I had save in the Summer time, to purchased the OIL, but it is all gone.
Please give me a sound mind to do the business at hand, at the Car Dealership, when I am face to face with the Sales person. May his heart be spiritual, and not be greedy to give me a good deal for the car that you want me to get. In Jesus’ Holy Name I Pray. Amen !!!
Thank you Debbie for this reading today, and all the others. Keep up the great work.!!!!
