Prayer for February 18th

February 18, 2014

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We come today seeking encouragement…seeking strength…seeking hope and help for all that your children are going through. Lord, we give you praise for the works you are doing. They are so great and so many. But there is still such heartache and heartbreak being experienced in the lives of those praying here.

Lord, you above all, know and understand. You know and understand the pain of rejection…you understand and feel the pain of those who have been abandoned. They may feel lost and alone, but you are there…you are there, Lord in the dark lonely hours…you are there when people are crying in their rooms thinking that life is too bitter and harsh to keep going on…you are there when people have an ache in their heart from missing their loved ones and they don’t know how they will possibly survive the moment, let alone the day, as the grief threatens to overtake them…you are there in the hospital rooms and the doctor’s offices…you are there when they cry out in pain from physical, emotional, and mental pain. You are there when careless, hurtful words are uttered in condemnation and judgement…you are there when the food has run out and the bills are unpaid and the walls are closing in and they feel trapped with nowhere to go or run to…you feel every bit of this pain and heartache, because you love us, Lord.

You have not left us alone…Lord, you honor persistence. You honor the tenacious faith that holds on against the longest of battles. You honor the ones that come to you on their knees … the ones who are devoid of pride and say, “Lord, I can’t, but you can”… that is your example for us and we want to follow in your footsteps, Lord.

Jesus, your children are here with persistent faith today… knocking, seeking and asking. We are calling out to you, not only for you to hear our cries and to meet our needs, but we are crying out for more of you, Lord…please come and give us more of your strength… more of your energy… more of your perseverance that allows us to get up one more time to fight the battles before us. We are weak, but you are strong, Lord and as we think about you hanging on that cross and your great love that took you there for our sake and our sin…we know that we can keep going one more day, with your strength and power and the hope that you give.

You are THE ONE that defeated death…you are THE ONE that loved through the hate and the pain…you are THE ONE that says “Come to me all you that are weary and I will give you rest”…You are THE ONE… the Alpha and Omega, The Beginning and The End…our Savior and Deliverer.

Come be our everything Lord we pray. Lord, we come to your throne of grace and ask according to your will, that every need will be met. Thank you for seeing past who and what we are, to who we will be. Thank you in advance for what you will do, Lord. In the name of our Savior we pray, Amen.

Friends, you are so loved by our Father and you are not alone!

Believing and praying good things for you,
