Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,
We ask for your Holy Spirit to intercede for us today…Lord, so many have heavy hearts …so many have hurts and wounds that run deep…we grieve with those that grieve today. Sometimes, life is just so overwhelming with all the pain and the loss and the tragedy that surrounds us. Father, we pray that you’d make us people of compassion…we may not be able to change those around us…we may not be able to convince others within the Body of Christ of the need to be more compassionate and to reach out more towards those who deal with things they don’t understand…we may not be able to influence others to break down prejudices and preconceived ideas and judgments that are formed out of ignorance…we can’t do anything but work on ourselves…but you can make changes in hearts and minds, Lord and we are asking you to do that. Please convict and instruct and enlighten as only you can.

Father, we pray for a great awakening within the Body of Christ. We pray for a revival that will bring everyone together… just like you command in Luke 14…to bring in the poor and the lame so that your banquet table might be full and complete. Jesus always reached out to the ill, disabled and the outcasts…He had a heart of compassion and you want us to follow Christ’s example. Use all that we’ve been through, Lord to help bring awareness and education to those who have never experienced such things. Help us to be compassionate and patient towards their lack of knowledge and even their harsh judgments. Heal the wounds that have been caused by rejection, neglect and hurtful words.

Lord, for everyone here who deals with grief or invisible disabilities… with disabilities that are easily apparent…with chronic health issues…with depression, anxiety, phobias and other mental health issues…Lord, we ask for healing. We ask for strength to get through the day. We ask for peace in each heart and mind. We pray we would find hope and peace and relief from the relentless burdens of life. We pray that each one would have a support system of people who know, care and understand what they deal with. We pray that not one person would feel alone or isolated in their pain.

We pray for acceptance…we pray that no one would ever have to fear rejection or condemnation. We pray for good medical care and the finances to afford it. We pray that stigmas will be banished that are associated with all of these health issues…especially within the church, Lord. We need church to be the first place that people can turn to when they are needing support, love, compassion and understanding…

Lord, we lift up all that are hurting and grieving from the loss of loved ones. We pray you would be their comfort. We pray for those who are watching their loved ones suffering … help them with their feelings of sadness and helplessness. Father we grieve with those that grieve today…and we pray for your Holy Spirit to minister to each person and family that is dealing with hurt, loss, unanswered questions and rejection and abandonment. Lord, please pour your healing balm out upon each hurting heart here. Please meet every need spoken and unspoken…please use us to make a difference for your kingdom… one person at a time. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

May you feel the Lord’s comforting presence today!

Much love in Him,
Debbie
