Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We pray for your peace and your wisdom and knowledge today. People have differing opinions and ideas even among believers. It’s amazing how we can see and hear the same things and yet our perceptions and what we take away can be so different. Things get taken wrong, assumptions get made and conflict arises. The enemy is working over time to cause division in families, in churches and between friends. We also know Lord, that as it says in your Word, you are separating out the wheat from the chaff.

Lord, help us not to get hung up on divisions and quarrels. Help us to learn to let things go and to keep our eyes on you. Your word is so clear that we are not to get involved with unedifying controversies that bring about strife. We are told that you don’t want us to be argumentative… but to be kindly to everyone, patient and mild tempered. If someone needs to be corrected, we should do so with courtesy and gentleness in the hope that you will help them to know the truth and that they might repent.

Lord, help us to have patience with the difficult people in our lives. Help us to try to reach out to those we don’t understand and please give us the wisdom to know when to reach out, when to back off and either set up boundaries, or to walk away from a situation entirely. Help us to be your hands and feet to those who can be rough and abrasive. You didn’t turn anyone away Lord…help us to see passed the rough exteriors to help nurture the gem that is inside everyone.

Give us discernment to realize who is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. You say we should be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove. Train us and teach us Lord, so we can avoid those situations that will bring us down, stress us out, consume and waste our time, or sidetrack us from the journey and path you intend for us. Help us to be wise stewards with our time and energy, so we don’t take precious time from something good and waste it on something with no gain or benefit.

Lord, we pray to draw close to you so we can hear your voice. We ask that you would be our first waking thought in the morning and our last thought before we fall asleep. Please be with all of our friends and family and keep them safe and meet their needs. We pray for those whom we love who don’t know you, that they will have their hearts and minds opened to a saving knowledge of who you are. We pray that people will see your light shining forth from us. Help us even in the midst of our trials and pain to point the way to you. Strengthen us Lord and bless us so we can bless others. May we feel your presence in our lives like never before. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen

Blessings be upon you my friends!

Much love in Him,
