Prayer for February 25th

February 25, 2014

Hi, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,
We know that to you, one day is as a thousand years…time is different for you than for us, but you know and understand that about us. When things are hard, time drags on and can seem impossible to endure. You understand the impatience and the discouragement we experience…you knew we would have those times when we would feel disheartened… you understood at times we would feel low and crushed in spirit, so you gave us your Holy Spirit to comfort us. Lord, we ask for your Holy Spirit to help us in the times of waiting. We ask for your Holy Spirit to convict us of our sins and if there is anything that is in our lives that is hindering our prayers from being answered, please reveal it to us. Please open our eyes and give us ears to hear, Lord. May the Holy Spirit minister to the weary hearts, uplift the weak and encourage all the downcast souls. Lord, please apply healing balm to our hearts and minds and bring us strength and encouragement to carry on … as in all things, you know what we have need of, even before we  ask.Lord, you say you have come to bind up the wounds of the brokenhearted and to comfort all who mourn … to give us a crown of beauty instead of mourning, and a garment of praise, instead of a spirit of despair….so Lord we ask for you to grant us these things according to your will and in your timing. May we take heart and be encouraged, that you will give us these things at just the right time. Never early…never late…just at the precise time when we need them most. Please fill us, Lord…rain down your grace and mercy upon us…wash away the despair and replace it with your joy. Revive those who are tired in body, mind and spirit…restore what the enemy has devoured… give us this day a steady dose of optimism and enthusiasm for what our future holds. Touch those who just want to give up on this life and go home to you…may they find a renewed sense of purpose so they can fulfill the calling you’ve placed on their lives. We may not know what the future holds, but we know you hold our future and that is all we need to know to give us hope…Your Word is true, and you do not give us empty words as promises. Thank you, for your infinite love and provision for us and we will listen intently today as your Spirit speaks to us. We thank you, Lord, for meeting our every need. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen

Blessings be upon you and yours!

Much Love in Him,
Debbie Kay
