Prayer for March 6th

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for the privilege of joining together once again in your name. Thank you for being in our midst. Thank you for never growing tired of hearing us call to you. Thank you for your steadfast, enduring love.

Lord, thank you for your amazing grace that sets us free…thank you that because of Jesus and all He’s done, we are no longer held in bondage to sin. We are so grateful that you hold the keys to set us free from the bad experiences in our past and we thank  you for holding the door open now, so we don’t have to become captive to our current pain. We pray they we will have the courage and strength to leave behind the people… the painful memories… the addictions… the pain and the  harmful desires that threaten to hold us hostage now. We pray we will not settle for less than your best. May each of us be willing to say today, “I want to heal, no matter what it takes… I want to experience God’s joy and peace.”  Please don’t let any among us lose sight of the fact that there is more than this life … please don’t let them give up … or stay stagnant, unable to move forward. For all those who think it’s too hard to overcome…or to  let go of pain, people or things…please help  them to remember that they don’t need to have the strength themselves … they just have to call on you and it’s your strength that will lead and guide them to the places of safety, serenity and healing.

Father God, help us to not be stubborn and want things our way. Help us to trust and believe that your ways are always best, even when we don’t understand. Help us not to resist the opportunities that you put before us to help ourselves just because they aren’t the answers we desire…or because they are packaged differently than we were expecting. Help us not to squander our days wishing for things that can’t be or shouldn’t be. Help us to hear your voice and to obey it. Give us your wisdom so we can know your will. Help us to heal, grow and mature and walk on the path of righteousness. Help our faith Lord, so we will be unafraid to step into new uncharted waters. We know you are with us and if you are leading and guiding, then we will end up with blessings we can’t yet imagine.

Please anoint us with your grace this day. Help us not to take on a yoke of worry, despair, anger, bitterness, anxiety, unforgiveness, or stress…may we walk into the freedom of your peace and trust. May we rest in that place of safety today. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen
