Prayer for April 23rd

Here is the prayer for today  friends…

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we come together today, we ask that you help us to be more intentional in our thoughts and prayers. May our first waking thought in the morning be of you and our last thought as we drift off to sleep ,be of you as well. Lord, may we desire above all things to walk in fellowship with you…may our goal in life be to hear the words “well done my good and faithful servant”. Lord teach us your ways. Teach us to love like you love and to see people, events and things, as you see. Help our first reaction in adversity and uncertainty to be to turn to you and not to worry. Help us, so our first reactions are not to panic but to trust. Help us to die to ourselves daily, so that we can say, “not our will Lord, but your will be done”. Renew our minds, Lord, and conform us into the image of Christ in the way that we think…in the way that we live…in the way that we hope…

You made us for yourself , Lord and you always take pleasure in granting us every good and perfect gift. You are trustworthy and your promises are true. Your promises are for yesterday, today and forever…may these truths not be just head knowledge, but may they be ingrained on our hearts and transform our lives. Lord, please help us to not lean on our own understanding or to think that we must solve our problems ourselves. Help us not to foolishly think that we can live our lives without dependence on you…. Give us the wisdom and the faith to believe that you really do know what is best for us. Help us not to be as children who question their parent’s knowledge and seek to learn things the hard way…to do things our own way…may we find rest and peace knowing that your ways are not our ways, but they are the best…always!!

Lord, help us when we feel like we’re alone and abandoned…help us to have confidence and faith that does not waver in the fact that you never leave us or forsake and you actively pursue a relationship with us. Lord, help us to trust that you will be near when we are brokenhearted and that you will turn our mourning to joy and you will provide our every need…Help us to be content in you and to be able to say “Lord, give me not what I want but what is best for me”. Lord, please go before us this day. Smooth the rough roads…open the closed doors. Help us to wait patiently and learn to be content in our times of waiting. Walk with and protect our loved ones. May those that don’t know you, come to a saving knowledge of who you are. We thank you for being our strength when we are weak and weary. We love you Lord and we our grateful for what awaits us when this journey is over. Thank you for your amazing grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen

I always carry you in my heart and prayers, friends.

Much Love In Him,
Debbie

I also carry you in my heart and prayers, Debbie. You bless me so much with your gift of prayer. I forward your prayers to my sister who just lost her husband of 47 years 2 months ago. She really gets uplifted when she reads them. Thank you so much!

I’m so sorry for your sister’s loss…it is always hard to lose a spouse, but there is so much loss and adjustment when you have been with someone for that long. Saying a prayer for her and may God continue to bless you both. With much love, Debbie Here are a couple of links that might help as well

Amen. Thank you for another posted prayer that speaks the words that I am not able to find in my own prayers: “Help us to wait patiently and learn to be content in our times of waiting. ”
Yes. This is very much what I need help with, Debbie. So, having prayed with you and your troop of prayer warriors, I can rest in faith that this lesson will be taught. I have much to learn. Thanks for your ministry!
