Prayer for April 28th

April 28, 2014

new zealand

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We pray today for all that are in harm’s way… whether it be from natural disasters, violence, accidents or illness. We ask for comfort for those who are grieving over the loss of loved ones from tragedies and we pray for provision, comfort and hope for those who have suffered multiple losses. Lord, we ask for your angels to be around each of your children and to please place a hedge of protection around them, that they might be kept safe from harm.

Lord, there are many needs that are represented here and many among us who don’t know where to start, or how to begin to change, or deal with their situations and circumstances. Lord, we pray that as they wait, they would learn patience. We ask for you to enlighten what is dark in us and lead and guide us on the path of righteousness. Please make the rough roads smooth. Close the doors that need to be closed and open the best ones for each person in need. Help us to remember that very few things are accomplished all at once… It usually takes many small steps to get us to where we need to be. When we look at the big picture, we can be easily overwhelmed… but when life is broken down into one hour at a time, or one day at a time, things are much more manageable. Help us to trust you one day at a time…one step at a time… knowing that you see the bigger picture…and as long as things are clear to you and you are guiding us, then we will be blessed.

We ask that you take our burdens and cares today, Lord. We cast them upon you and we are trusting that as we learn to do this daily, that we will begin to feel lighter and not as weighed down…that we will have a clearer sense of direction and focus. Thank you, Lord for this day. We ask for you to help us find the joy in this day…May we remember our many blessings and be filled with a sense of gratitude. May we be used to be a blessing to those around us. We celebrate you today, Lord…all that you are and all that you do. We love you Lord and we thank you that we can ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.

May you find His joy to be your strength in the week ahead!

In His love,
