Prayer for May 20th

May 20, 2014

Laos

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord God,

We thank you for being faithfully constant in our lives…. there is no where we can go that is beyond your reach… we are never far from your thoughts…you understand us like no one ever will…you know our every need…our every thought…and you love us and accept us just as we are. Oh, Lord, we would be so lost without you.

Lord, we ask for comfort for all that are having a hard time today. Please help us to stay focused on you, and not the disappointments, the illnesses, the financial needs, the loneliness, the pain or anything else that the enemy would use to keep us distracted or frustrated. May we see your hand and your will, in every aspect of this day. Help us to rise above any lack of sleep, stress, illness or pain. We lay our burdens, worries and cares at your feet, Lord. We lift up to you all of our loved ones and friends who are dealing with plates that are overflowing with heartache and adversity. Lord, sometimes our hearts are so heavy as we see those we love suffer. Father, please do what we can’t…be their strength, be their hope, be their guiding light in the dark and shower them with your peace and comfort and healing this day.

Father, please help us to love the difficult people in our lives. Please help resolve the struggles and issues that are tearing apart families and friendships. Please keep us calm and help us to be patient with others. Help us to not speak in anger or haste. Help us to weigh our words and think and pray before we speak. Help us to learn to cope better with the stresses in our lives and teach us how to let go of the things that we cannot control or change. We ask for those who have health problems related to stress that you would touch their bodies…bring down the blood pressure, remove the depression and insomnia, ease the anxiety, GI problems and other symptoms they may be experiencing. Please remove the panicky feelings and help their minds to be able to shut off at night so they can fall asleep easily and get much-needed rest.

Lord, we know that you are in control of everything. We know that nothing is too big for you to solve. Please bind the enemy and be with those we love, protect them and meet their needs. Lead and guide us in all that we say and do…keep us close to you and help us not to stray from your will. Please go before us and make the rough roads smooth and help us to be men and women after your own heart. In Jesus’ name we ask these things, Amen.

Blessings be upon you all!

Much love in Him,
Debbie

Debbie, There are so many days I could not go forward without the extra boost of your blessed prayer reminders. I have multiple chronic illnesses, and have been blessed with a great husband who is friend and caregiver as well. I am just starting the journey on a new road — Parkinson’s disease. So, along with the other things (survivor of 2 cancers, a brain tumor, a mastectomy, a hysterectomy & oopherectomy, chemo, radiation, heart blockages & stent, major depressive disorder, anxiety attacks and Lynch’s Syndrome II), I am learning new symptoms and a new path. God has been with me every step of the way, every breath. He is our glorious and loving Father, and through His son, I know I will live with Him, in Him and through Him. Your morning prayer is always a deep and timely reminder. May God bless your walk richly in the knowing that you touch so many with your hands, for Him! Love in Christ, Annie Green

Annie, I am sending you a big hug. I”m so sorry for all that you are dealing with…have been dealing with…I see God in you and the fact that you continue to praise Him and lean on Him through it all, pleases your Heavenly Father…I have no doubt that you are a witness and blessing far more than you know and one day there will be many jewels in your crown for your faithfulness that inspires others to keep pressing in and holding on. Blessings be upon you Annie. I am praying for you! Much love in HIm, Debbie

Thanks for an insightful prayer. I especially lift my mother who is suffering the pain of losing her husband of 57 years a few weeks ago. It’s a tough adjustment for her and I never know what to say and when I’ll say the wrong thing inadvertently and set her off. Lord, mend my family and help me guard my words and actions to avoid more drama. Thank you, for this prayer which gives me a platform to leap into God’s arms for protection and direction. Amen.

I am so sorry for yours and your mother’s loss. I’m also so very sorry for the delay in responding to you. I’ve been so very behind. Here is a link that will help you understand more about grief and there’s a category that helps you to help others. As I’m caching up here today I am seeing all of your comments and prayer needs and I will be praying for all that you’ve shared. Praying for comfort, healing, guidance and peace for you and your mom. Big hugs and much love to you! http://hopeforthebrokenhearted.com/grief/
