Prayer for June 16th

June 16, 2014

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,

If anyone knows how hard life is, it’s you…if anyone knows and understands our difficulties and trials, you do… You understand all of our strengths and our weaknesses,  better than we know them ourselves.

Lord, you see each person that is praying here…you know each need…you see each heart and know our intentions… you know that growing up and maturing  is a process … physically, emotionally mentally. We are not born and then instantly become an adult with all knowledge and maturity…it takes time…we must learn gradually and mature slowly…and our spiritual maturity is a process as well. How wonderful it would be if we could just instantly have faith that doesn’t doubt…but we must know you and spend time with you, to learn to trust you… and as we learn to trust you, then our faith grows and our fears diminish and we overcome and mature.

Lord, for all who are discouraged today because they are not in the place that they want to be, we ask that you would speak to their hearts. Help each one to remember that you love them and you are infinitely patient …lead and guide us  to the things that will help us move forward when they are stuck or trapped in our  thinking…give us a burning desire to study your word, to fellowship, to seek wise counsel and to become prayer warriors, so we will be able to grow and mature spiritually. Help us not to compare themselves to others, but to only look to you, as you are the only one that we  should be trying to emulate. Help each of us  to be patient with ourselves and with others, as we are all works in progress… we all are unique and our experiences are all so different… all those things factor into who we are, how we think,  how we react, process and  do things.

Father, for the weary…for those who are feeling defeated… for those who just don’t feel like they are making progress or getting where they need to be… we pray for breakthroughs in their lives. We ask Lord, for your Holy Spirit to minister to each one. We ask that you bind the enemy. We ask that you remove any negative influences in our  lives that are holding us back or discouraging us…Lord, help us to remember that even your disciples failed…not one person that has walked this earth except for Jesus, has ever got things perfectly right…everyone fails and falls short and has missed the mark and all you are looking at is our heart…our intent…our trying our best…our wanting to please you and  wanting to do the right things. Where we are weak, your grace abounds. Where we stumble, you are there to pick us up…You believe in us when we don’t believe in ourselves…

Oh, Lord…you are such a loving, kind, gracious Father. May your spirit overwhelm us as we pray… as we offer up all that we are and all that we hope to be…as we offer up our desires and dreams… our cares, our worries, our fears, our anxious thoughts and our loved ones… Lord, we pray that you will fill us…teach us…mold us…heal us… and lead us… so we can grow into the strong, mature followers of Christ that you want us to be.

We love you Lord, and we thank you for how far you have brought us already and we thank you that you are not done with us yet. By your power working in us and through us, we will grow and mature and persevere until you call us home. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Blessings be upon you and your week!

In His love,
