Prayer for September 22nd

September 22, 2014

hope for the broken hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We thank you for giving us this new day. Lord, we lift up  those that are struggling financially. For those who need jobs, please open a door…go before them, Lord…open up the perfect place and position for them. For those who have unexpected needs…things that have broken and need repair, unexpected bills or medical needs…Lord, many do not have a way to pay for unplanned expenses…they just live hand to mouth, so we ask for your help in these areas. Please be their provider and take what little they have and make it more than enough.  Give them the faith they need to trust you, even when all hope seems lost. You are still the God who does miracles and you love to bless your children.  Remind each of us, Lord, that you hold us firmly in your grasp and that you know each need before we even ask.

Lord , may each of us  be able to truly “let go” of all of our cares and worries and find perfect peace as we learn to trust you like never before. May we find rest, knowing that anything that you allow in our lives, is for our good and you only want the best for your children. Help us to take those bold leaps of faith  that allow us to rests instead of worry,  and have faith instead of fear.

For those who are having  to start over because of death or divorce, or some other major loss or change and they are overwhelmed by the enormity of all that they face, Lord, show them the things you can do when we trust and yield. You have shown over and over in your Word, how you do things to provide that are miraculous… and you still do that today, we just have to trust and believe. Help us turn our worry time to prayer time and help us see these situations as faith building times. We look forward to seeing your work as only you can, Lord.

For those who are having difficulties in relationships, please be the mediator and counselor that they need. Please soften the difficult hearts, open the blind eyes, and show your truth to hardened hearts. Please bring your peace into their lives…help them to see each other through your eyes, and may they love with your heart. Heal marriages, Lord. Restore families and friends. Bind the enemy so he will not win these battles.

Where there is emptiness due to loss, Father, we ask that your loving comfort would fill each heart…we ask that you would pour out your peace and hope and that you will bring healing. Please return feeling to those broken hearts again.

Lord, please go before us this week. We ask that you give us strength and energy for all we face. We ask that you watch over our family and friends. Lead, guide and protect them. Please open the eyes of those who don’t know you, so they will see you clearly and invite you into their lives. Thank you for being our Father, our provider, our peace, our refuge and our strength. We love you, Lord and we offer up our lives to you. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Hope you have a peaceful weekend!

Debbie: Your prayer this morning is the prayer of someone who has walked the path of brokenness. I see from other reponses responses that other readers, too, are taking steps toward healing and following your prayers. I may never understand why I am stuck in the mire of a broken life, three years after being abandoned and divorced. Surely, God hears my cries for healing. I pray with you again this morning.

Lord of all that is and was and is to be: I pray today that we all receive from you eyes that see and ears that hear in order to turn and be healed. In the name of Jesus Christ and for your glory. Amen.
