Prayer for September 27th

September 27, 2014

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We ask for you to  fill us with your Holy Spirit. May we be drawn into your presence.  Lord, we long to please you. We long to make you proud. We ask for your help to become all that you want us to be. We ask for healing…mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and financial healing, that we might better serve you. Bless us Lord, so we can bless others.

Thank you, for being there to pick us up when we are broken and when we fall. Thank you, for  carrying us when we are too weary to stand on our own. Thank you, for being our  healer. Help us to be emotionally healthy as individuals…help us guide our families to good emotional health and help us to have emotionally healthy churches that are full of compassion, understanding and your healing love. Teach us and give us insight on the things that we can do to help ourselves heal and then give us patience to wait on you as  we trust everything else to your hands…your will..your timing.

Help us Lord, to pray for those who hurt us and persecute us. Help us to live out what we say we believe as Christ followers. Help us to grow in our faith that we won’t be found lacking or wanting, or unprepared against the enemy’s attacks. Help us to number our days and to make the most of our time. Give us a sense of urgency to reach out to the lost and those in need and help us point the way to you. Lord, bring people into our lives that can encourage us and bring people that we can encourage. Help us to remember that the world is watching us to see if our faith and trust in Christ  impacts the way we deal with difficult times.  They’re looking to see if our faith gives us hope and strength in hard times. May your joy spill over from us and splash on others…may your joy truly be our strength and may we have eyes to see how your grace sustains us and that it is enough.  Lord, grief changes us…pain and loss change us…but may those changes make us more in your likeness and draw us closer to you.

Lord, we want to be transparent before you. We want to be cleansed from the inside out. We want to experience all you have for us and to settle for nothing less than your best for us. Lord, please go before us, lead us beside the still waters and restore our souls today. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

May you see and feel God’s hand at work in your life!

Much love in Him,
