Prayer for November 1st

November 1, 2014

hope for the broken hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Dear Lord,

Lord, please lead us beside still waters today. We ask for your comfort to overshadow all the negative thoughts, feelings and emotions, that each one is dealing with.   You tell us in Isaiah, that you have engraved us on the palm of your hand. As Spurgeon reminded us, that is no little thing… It doesn’t say, that you engraved our names. You engraved us… our person, our likeness, our circumstances, our sins, our temptations, our weaknesses, our wants and our works. You have graven everything about us and all that concerns us. How can we ever question, think or believe, that you have forsaken us or forgotten us? It is significant that we are engraved on your palm as Jesus bears the scars on His palms from the nails that held him to the cross for our sins. How can anyone ever cry out, “God, why have you forgotten or abandoned me?” You wear a permanent reminder of us, that can not be forgotten.

Lord, thank you for being faithful to us…. people may let us down, but you never will. We thank you because we do not need  to understand others and why they think or act a certain way. The only thing we have to do is to pray for them and leave them to your care. Lord, we know that we can’t control the actions or choices of others… it is enough of a struggle to deal with our own issues. Help us to focus on you and leave the cares and worries of this life in your capable hands.

Lord, we lay our anxiety and fears at your feet. We ask for help for all who are in need of  healing mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. We pray for all who are out of work… for all who need transportation…for all who have been displaced from their homes or are about to be. For all that have any kind of financial need or burden. Lord, we ask for the enemy to be bound from attacking and we ask in Jesus’ name for healing and provision.

We pray for all that don’t know you and we ask that you would open their eyes and speak to their hearts so they will know the truth. Lord, we ask for your anointing and favor to be upon us. May the words of our mouth and our actions glorify you and may those we meet who don’t know you, be drawn to you, because they see Christ in us. Strengthen us Lord, for all that lies ahead and may we engrave your words on our hearts and in our minds and be transformed by them. Oh, if we could only have you etched into our hearts and minds, that we could be as faithful to remember you, as you are to remember us. We ask for your protection and care for our children, our loved ones and friends. Blessed be your name Lord for who you are and for all you do. In the name above all names we pray, Amen.

Blessings be upon you in Jesus name!
In His love and service,
