Prayer for November 4th

November 4, 2014

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Dear Lord and Savior,

We thank you for the splendor and beauty that fills our world. We thank you for serene, peaceful moments that give us respite from the stress and cares of life. Lord, in the stillness of this moment, we ask for you to  calm our hearts and minds. We ask for your peace to fill us. We ask to feel your presence.

Lord, as we gather in your name, we seek to focus only on you. Help us set aside the things that our mind’s keep drifting back to. We long to know your will for our lives. We seek to have your wisdom and discernment. Show us the things that are hindering our  healing. We want to know how to be set free from the things that weigh us down and keep us from moving forward. Please speak to each of us today, so we might clearly hear your voice and learn from you.

Help us to not waste time by worrying…please gently nudge us when we find ourselves dwelling on our circumstances, our past or things that are beyond our control…help us turn our worry time to prayer time. There is so much we know in our head to do, but we don’t always do it…the enemy tries to distract and hinder us from doing the things that will keep us strong and focused on you.

We ask for the ability to say “no” to  time eaters and wasters… the people and things in our lives that keep us from doing what we need to do. Help us to be unafraid to set boundaries, so we can focus on the most important things in our lives. Help us to stand our ground when others don’t understand the priorities that you’ve placed on our hearts. Help us to be the best that we can be, in every area of our lives. Help us to see ourselves through your eyes and not the eyes of our detractors. Lord, please help us find that place of peace and serenity in our lives that we all so desperately need.

Lord, we thank you because we are never far from your thoughts or heart. Thank you for the healing and provision that is coming. May we find time to rest, refresh and renew our strength… may we make the time to center our lives and hearts around you. Please bring scriptures to mind that will bring comfort and keep us focused on you. We give you this day and all that’s in it. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen

May you be filled to overflowing with His peace!
Blessings, hugs and love,
