Prayer for December 3rd

December 3, 2014

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today we want to lift up to you all who are in financial need. Father, I’ve heard from so many that are homeless or about to be homeless…so many  who are struggling to find work and enough food to eat…some don’t have enough to pay for needed medicine, car repairs or heating…some  are just so sad because they want to give their kids a better life than one full of struggle and doing without…so many are barely holding on for many reasons…Lord, it breaks our heart’s to see all who are in need and we know that it breaks your heart as well…

Lord, you tell us to ask, seek and knock…to ask without doubting…to ask, believing that if we ask according to your will, that you will hear our prayers. Lord, we are coming together as one…one in spirit and one in truth  …your church united in your name and standing with all of our brothers and sisters who are in need… Father we are asking for miracles today… we ask according to your will, for you to open your store houses…just as you gave oil to a widow….and manna in the wilderness…and  as you took a few loaves and fish and made it more than enough to feed thousands, Lord… we are asking for your grace and mercy to rain down like rain on drought parched land. We are asking for miracles, Lord, so we can share here with each other and with the world at large, that you are alive and that you do provide and you do it in ways sometimes that make us know beyond a doubt that it is you who is doing the providing… Answered prayers strengthen our faith and the faith of others  and we trust you will answer this humble prayer as only you can… we lift every one in need to your throne of grace and we ask that you give them a garment of praise instead of weariness…we pray that they will feel your comfort and peace as they relinquish their worry and  are revived from their weariness…we ask Lord, for you to give them a blessing like they’ve never known…a tangible blessing so their faith will be bolstered and renewed…we pray they will feel your presence like a refreshing cool breeze on a warm day. Lord we believe that all things are possible through you…you allow adversity…you tell us to expect it because we will share in Christ’s suffering…  we learn so much from our struggles…we learn to trust…to look to you, instead of ourselves or others…to have patience and perseverance…we know that what you allow is for our good and your glory and we don’t want to miss out on the fruit that comes from adversity…but Lord, we are asking to receive the blessings that you have for each of us that we have never even known to ask for… we come to you with open  hands and  hearts to receive all that you have for us…

Lord, hear our prayers…when one part of the body hurts, we all hurt…we are all affected…and so many are hurting in every way imaginable…we pray for healing….we pray for relief mentally, emotionally and physically. We pray for provision for our needs and for those that we know and love…we pray for protection from the evil one and all who would seek to do your children and servants harm…and we ask Lord, to grow in our faith… we don’t want to be content to stay where we are…we want to please you and to serve you well and to become spiritually mature. Lord, we humble ourselves before you…we are nothing without you…we are so very grateful for your  faithfulness. Move among us. Stir our hearts…may we grow in your knowledge and grace and  be  overwhelmed by your lavish love and great sacrifice for us. We love you, Lord and we ask these things with excited anticipation for what you will do and how you will work. We thank you in advance, Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

May you be filled with His peace as you trust and wait!

In His love,
Debbie
