Prayer For January 6th

January 6, 2015

Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Lord,
We know that sin, negative thoughts and hurts that are not dealt with do damage… they erode and eat away at many aspects of our lives. It can happen so subtly and sometimes, we are unaware of the damage being done, until it’s too late. Help us, Lord to be perceptive. Keep us from being complacent. Help us to remove the things in our lives that seem harmless, but over time, do damage… help us, before these things take bits and pieces  of ourselves and precious time away from us that we can never get back. Help us to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. Help us to not fall for the enemy’s snares. Protect us from all evil. Help us to overcome, Lord. Please impart your wisdom and knowledge to us. Make us sensitive to your voice and  your guiding hand, so we might change the things that need to be changed in our lives, hearts and minds. Help us to find healing, release and peace.

Lord, you long for us to find hope, renewed faith and healing. You want us to transform from battle weary warriors, to overcoming conquerors. You  lovingly want to take away the stumbling blocks in our lives that keep us from intimately knowing you and growing in you.  Help us to let go of the rigid ideas we have about   the way we think you should answer our prayers…may we learn to trust you with every aspect of our lives.  May we find confidence and boldness to stand firmly on your word and promises. Help us to believe that nothing is too hard for us when we are walking with you. We give you this day and the rest of this week and commit it to your hands. We acknowledge you, Lord and ask you to guide our paths…make the rough roads smooth and the crooked paths straight. Please be with those we love and watch over them and draw them close to yourself and meet their every need.  In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Blessings, hugs and love to you all!
Debbie
