Prayer For January 18th

January 18, 2015

hope for the broken hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

So many are struggling to find peace in their circumstances … many are trying to find physical strength to overcome illness, lack of sleep, pain, weariness and overwhelming grief. Lord, may they see your light  in the dark and lonely places….may they see, feel, trust and believe, that you are with them this very second…you are standing with outstretched arms, just waiting for them to hand over their burdens and cares and all the things that no one would ever ask for, or want…but you are not anyone…you are the Lord of all… so full of love, compassion and grace…how often we fail to remember we don’t have to wait until our circumstances are better to receive Your peace … the peace that defies understanding and circumstances…you offer it now…to anyone who is willing to trade their cares, sorrows, fears, failures, anxieties, and turmoil for your peace…you offer it to those who are in hospitals or those who are stuck at home in bed…to caregivers…to those in abusive or unhealthy relationships … to those who are in a pit of depression and those who are confined in the darkest prison cells…there is no place we can go, that you are not there … and there is no pit so deep, that your love, grace and mercy cannot reach down and shine on us and turn the darkness into light.

Oh, Father, may we all find the strength and faith to step out and trust you in ways we’ve never known before…may we learn to praise you in the midst of adversity… may we come to know you in our own experiences… may we come to know you in the same way that Job, Daniel, King David, the Apostles and Corrie Ten Boom did. May we be able to bear witness that your joy is our strength…may we be able to speak from first hand knowledge that joy is not found in things, or only in certain circumstances, but Your joy is available for all who have faith in you and who dare to trust and believe… You are the God who gives and takes away, and you are worthy to be praised… you are good, even when our circumstances are not. You are faithful, even when we are not…You will keep redeeming and renewing and cleansing and purifying until the day we are called home. Lord, we thank you for the hope that awaits us. We thank you that one day all the wrongs will be made right…that one day we will see everything that has been clouded and hidden from our vision…we thank you that one day we will fully understand how all these trials and all the adversity worked for our good and your glory. We thank you, that by the blood of Jesus, we are made whole, pure, Holy and blameless. We love you Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Praying you come to know Him and love Him in new ways!

In His love,
Debbie
