Prayer For January 27th

January 27, 2015

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Dear Heavenly Father,

We ask that you would bind the enemy and put a hedge of protection around your children. We ask that you would help each of us to keep our focus on you and realize that it is normal to take steps forward and steps backwards in all areas of life. May those praying with us today, not become discouraged or bitter when life brings disappointments and changes in their plans. May we have the fortitude to pick ourselves up and keep trying… keep moving forward…keep trusting that you are in control, even when we are not…help us to remember that the only way to truly fail is to give up…we will never  know this side of heaven, how many times we gave up and moved on, and yet victory and our goal, was just within our grasp if we had just held on and tried a bit longer. May we all learn to persevere, praise and trust like Job did.

Lord, help us to daily make time for you, that we might power up with your Word. It’s hard to see ahead when batteries are dim…help us hear your voice through prayer… may we take the steps that seem hard when we are hurting…steps to release joy into our lives with praise and gratitude for the things we do have…help us find again the joy of our salvation…the flame that burned so brightly when we first came to know you…help us  to not grow complacent, apathetic or lukewarm in our relationship with you…may we lay claim to our divine heritage as sons and daughters of the Living God and realize the power that you’ve given us so we might overcome…and endure. May we see your light breaking through the clouds of darkness in our lives and may that fill our hearts up with hope and energize us to keep pressing on and leaning into you. Help us to take responsibility for the things we must do to help ourselves…help us to remain faithful to the things that you call us to and then help us to let go and  trust you and your wisdom and plan. Go before us this day, Lord and lead and guide us in all that we say and do. Hold us closely so that we might not stray from you or where you would lead us. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Praying His blessing and favor be upon you!

Much love in Him,
