Prayer For February 8th

February 8, 2015

hope for the broken hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is an evening edition for the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Many people struggle more during the night… There is more silence…more time to think…more time to be alone with their thoughts…many find sleep difficult for many reasons.

We are asking for your presence to be felt tonight… we are asking for your comfort to wash over those who are tired and weary and can’t sleep. We are asking for you to speak in the stillness of the night, Lord. We pray for your Holy Spirit to bring comfort. We ask for each person praying to feel your presence so they will not feel alone…may they feel your nearness. You speak in your Word that your loving-kindness will be with us during the day and that your song will be with us at night. Lord, give us a song that will remind us of your faithfulness.

Your word says that you,  our protector, never sleeps or slumbers. You are always awake. You will be by our side guarding and protecting us. The darkness is not dark to you and the night is as bright as the day to you. We are held and watched by you every moment of every day.  Lord, may we be as David in the Psalms…lying in our beds…thinking of you…rejoicing in you…remembering that all night long we are kept under the shelter of your wing and held safe in your hands.

Speak peace to us this night. Take our burdens, care, pain, loneliness and illness. We ask for healing physically, emotionally, mentally and for sweet, deep restorative sleep. May we wake up refreshed and ready to face the new week ahead. Thank you, Lord for your goodness, grace and mercy. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Blessings be upon you!

In Him,
