Prayer For March 7th

March 7, 2015

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for this new day of life. Father, help us to embrace this day. Help us to live in the “now” of this day. So many people live for “some day”…wishing the days away…waiting for “some day” to bring them financial security… their ideal mate…peace… happiness… many are stuck in the past…wishing for what was…wishing they could go back and relive times of lost youth, times with lost loved ones, or when life was easier or less stressful. Help us to find contentment where we are, Lord.

Father, teach us to number our days…everything we do now, affects us for eternity…help us to rise above our feelings, emotions and our circumstances. Help us to not just endure…no matter what we are facing or struggling with. Help us to find the joy in our days and to count our blessings and name them daily…may we live with gratitude for what we have and not focus on the things we lack… help us to live each day as if it were our last…Lord, we can’t do these things with our own strength or might, but we can with yours…your Word says we are but a vapor… our mortal lives are but for a moment…they quickly disappear like a puff of steam…only what we do for you, will last into eternity. Help us live each day with an eternal perspective.

Lord, we are grateful for the hope that you offer…we are grateful that because of Christ, we will trade in the perishable things of this life for imperishable things…help us to be always aware that to be absent from the body, is to be present with you. The enemy wants to keep us bogged down in the worries, cares and pain of this life…help us to overcome, Lord…help us to be the people you’ve called us to be…people who are not of this world, but only passing through…people who have a hope and a future because of Christ…people who take you at your Word and trust, obey and believe because of the promises you’ve made. We praise you for who you are Lord and for the things you have done. We know that you have seen our needs and heard our cries. You know the desires of our hearts. We trust that you will take care of us and help us, because you are our loving Abba Father… Please go before us Lord, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

May you have a blessed day and weekend!

Much love in Him,
