Prayer For March 13th

March 13, 2015

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for being our beacon in the night… thank you for leading us to the shelter of still waters and safe harbors. Darkness is not dark to you…nothing extinguishes your light… darkness can only make your light shine brighter.  Your light turns darkness to daylight and by it we clearly see all things. To often we lose sight of who you are and all you do…but you stay the same…The Way, The Truth, The Life…our bright and Morning Star…our shining hope…

Your word says in Romans that, “The night is nearly over; the day is almost here.” Lord, we know that a bright new day is coming. You are not slow to answer. Your timing is perfect and you alone have sovereign control over all things. It is always darkest before the dawn and you promise to give us the oil of joy for mourning…to give us a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness…to bring beauty from the ashes of our lives…

Lord, there are so many who are discouraged among us…so many who are aching with deep sorrow and pain…so many who are searching for hope… We ask for your Holy Spirit, to breathe on each of us like a soft breeze on a summer’s night. May we feel our spirit’s rise up as we focus on all that you do and all that you are. May we feel your nearness and remember that the same right hand that holds the stars in place upholds us as well. Please, constantly draw us closer to you Lord and keep us safely under the shelter of your wing.

We cling to the hope, that the day of your return is drawing ever closer and the things of this world will fade  away in the light of your glory and grace. Lord, please give us more of you to fill the broken and lonely places in our hearts and lives and may we feel your joy and be warmed by your light and love. We praise you and bow before you Lord and we thank you that we have a Savior in whose name we can ask these things. Amen.

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love,
