Prayer For March 19th

March 19, 2015

storm

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

We are so imperfect. By nature, fear is our natural response, not faith. Help us to learn, grow and mature in you, so that faith will overcome us, not fear… none of us know what tomorrow may bring…we aren’t even guaranteed a tomorrow.  The world at large is changing and most of us are dealing with personal changes as well.  What was known and comfortable seems to be slipping away… for many of us that is happening on multiple fronts and it can be so scary. Help us to remember that no matter what is going on around us…no matter what changes take place…You are our one true constant in life. You are the compass that we can chart our course by. You, the Creator of all and The Great I AM, are fully in control.  You hold us together, as surely as you hold the stars in the sky and keep the earth spinning in place.

Lord, help us to cling to you… We are not in control, but you are and you know so much better than we do what lies ahead for each of us. Help us to rest in you…help us to wait on you  and to trust you to right the wrongs, to make the crooked paths straight, to lead and guide us to places of safety, security and healing.

Father, what we can’t do, you can. We give you our fears. We give you our grief. We give you our hurts and pain. We give you are insecurities.  We give you our questions…our shattered hearts and dreams… the unfulfilled longings and desires of our hearts…We give you our illnesses. We give you our troubled relationships. We give you all of our needs…we give you all the questions and uncertainties and apprehensions and we just lay it all at your feet and ask you to take it all from us and exchange these things  for your peace. We want to surrender the questions and trust that you have the answers and that is enough. Help us to look to the one sure thing we can always count on and rely on, and that is you dear, Lord. Please go before us this day, Father. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Praying you find peace as you surrender the hurtful things to Him!

In His love,
Debbie Kay
