Prayer For April 7th

April 7, 2015

hope for the broken

Hello, Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today…

Dear Lord,

Today we want to lift up families to you… families where the members are dealing with stress, loss and grief … families that are filled with dysfunction and abuse… families that speak with hurtful words that leave scars… families that are burdened by financial stress…families where one spouse has turned their back and left a home broken, bewildered, and in pain…families riddled with addiction…families falling apart because You are not the center of the home…families that are overwhelmed because of illness and disability…We ask for deliverance, Lord. We ask in the name of Jesus, for Satan to be bound and to have no room to work in our families. We ask for healing… emotionally, physically, spiritually, mentally and financially. May our homes be a safe haven and a place where we nurture, encourage and stand by each other.

Lord, for the marriages that are struggling…we ask for divine intervention. We pray for peace, understanding, and restoration. We pray for kindness and love to be the norm and for the golden rule to be remembered in our families… help us to learn to treat each other the way we would want to be treated and to love each other as we love ourselves …help each mate to learn how to love their spouse as they love you. Help us to learn to forgive each other just as you forgive us.

Lord, we know in the end times we will see division as you separate the wheat from the chaff and as people turn away from you. You told us family members would turn against each other and people would turn away from you, but it is so painful as we watch those we love turn their backs on you and those they once loved. For the families that have already had to deal with this, we ask for healing, Lord. We ask for strength. We ask for you to step in and be the head of the household for single mother’s and we pray you will be the Father to the fatherless and the husband to the widowed and divorced. Please provide for the men as well, Lord. They are not exempt from any of these things. Bring people to come stand beside them and help with the heavy loads.  Lord, please be the provider and the leader, for each and every household as we submit to you.

Lord, we want to take back what the enemy is trying to steal from us. Help us not to shrink back in fear and think “it’s too late to do any good” or “what can we do?” Help us to never think anyone is top far gone or beyond your reach or grasp. Help us to be faithful intercessors for  our families.  Help us to remember our power, strength and healing lies  in you. Lord, please meet every need, spoken and unspoken we pray. In Jesus’ name we ask these things, Amen.

Wishing God’s greatest gifts for each of you!

Much love in Him,
