Prayer For April 22nd

April 22, 2015

hope for the broken

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

There are many who are with us today who  are dealing with pain so deep, they feel like they can’t breathe…many feel like their back is up against a wall…that they have nowhere to run, and they are out of options…Many feel like their world is collapsing in on them, as deadlines are approaching with things unresolved and no help, or answers in sight.

Lord, may every person who is in need remember that you are still doing miracles. We all will face our “Red Sea” moments…moments where there are no options available … You allow us to face these situations to strengthen us…to help us learn to trust…to teach us to live without fear…to show yourself mighty in our lives and circumstances  and to show us that you are still in control and on the throne…help us  to not to try to put you in a box and limit you, Lord… you only want what is best for us in the long run, not  just the short term…help us to want the things you want for us, Lord…help us to not try to second guess you or think that we know better  than you what we need…

Lord, we give you our fear… we give you our anxiety…we give you our expectations and what we think should happen… we want to look forward to what you will do…we want to be full of expectation and not dread. You tell us to pray and ask without doubting…so Lord, after we pray and commit our needs to your hands, may we find rest in you as we wait.

When words fail us Lord, we seek your Holy Spirit to intercede on our behalf. You know our hearts, our failings and our shortcomings. You know the needs. Help us to hold fast to your promises and the things you speak to us in your Word. Please help us to remember that you will deliver the needy who cry out and the afflicted who have no one to help…You will deliver us from our fears…You will deliver us from our enemies…You will protect us…You are a refuge for the oppressed, and a stronghold in times of trouble…When we walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive us…You will supply all of our needs.

Lord, we cling to these truths today.  What we can’t do, you can… and so we are coming emptied of ourselves and with open hearts and hands and saying, “fill us Father”. Please show yourself in ways that we’ve never known and may everyone praying, be profoundly aware of your presence in their lives. In the name of our Savior we pray, Amen

Blessings be upon you,
Debbie
