Prayer For April 30th

April 30, 2015

hope for the hurting

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for your grace and your mercy…we thank you for being all we need…for being the answer to every prayer… for being our provider…our strength…our hope…our help. Everything we have comes from you…every breath we take, every morsel of food and sip of water…every possession, every bit of wisdom…you have provided and freely given all.

Lord, when we are tempted to fear…when we are tempted to feel like a failure… when we can’t provide the way we think we should…when we have done our best, but it doesn’t feel like it is good enough…help us to rest and remember your words…help us to remember that we are not meant to find sufficiency on our own…we are not meant to trust in men, governments or ourselves…you want us to be keenly aware that you provide everything for each of us and our inadequacy, points the way to your sufficiency.

Lord, there are so many needs among those praying with us…so many who are struggling to survive in every way…Lord, help us to remember that you are our source for daily living…you are the source of our daily bread…you know our needs before we ask…on our own, we can do nothing, but through you we can do all things…please speak comfort to the hurting among us Lord….to the weary caregivers and single parents who are depleted in every way…for those who are drained from physical and emotional pain…

Lord, we come so needy to you, but we know that you will not send us away empty-handed… we know you will meet our physical needs…you will give us strength for the day…but Lord, in this quiet moment with you, we pray for you to fill us spiritually. We pray for a refreshing wind to touch us…we pray to feel your presence…we bow before you with humble hearts and praise you for who you are…we praise you for all the times you’ve seen us through…for all the times we thought we couldn’t keep going on, yet we did…we thank you for the moments when we needed something and you sent it…a scripture…a gift…a sunrise…a smile…a kind word…all the times that you stood by us and helped us through…help us remember…help us to be thankful…help us to trust and obey…we give you our fears…we give you our burdens…we give you all the things that are before us that are overwhelming us just thinking about them…we give you all the things that seem impossible to overcome that are looming large before us…Lord, have your way…you are our everything…you are intimately acquainted with us…you know the number of hairs on our heads and there is nothing that has escaped you about our needs or circumstances. Help us to rest and trust as we wait on you to provide…you tell us not to doubt or waver when we ask…so we thank you in advance for the answers that are coming. Some days it seems like we repeat our cries and our concerns, but you want us to come…you want us to lay everything bare before you…you want us to be emptied of stress and cares so we can receive from your hand. Thank you Lord for loving us so well. In the name of Jesus we ask all these things. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends! I am believing every good thing for you!

In His love

Debbie

“Blessings” to you as well, “Friend”!!! These words are so pure and true, and are the best “guide” for us to focus on God, every minute of the day, and especially when we are in a moment of stress or tiredness!!! Just reaching out to “Him” who cares for all of our needs. Thank you so much for your lovely words and for the lovely picture – the path leads to the “Light”!!!

In reply to the prayer for today (yesterday), it reminded me of two things that I received a very long time ago, but still “impress” the focus on “Him” and I would like to share them with you – and am ‘attaching’ them to this email. Please let me know if they come through okay, so I can ‘re-do’ them if needed! I hope you enjoy them as I still do! God Bless, Rita
