Prayer For May 2nd

May 2, 2015

prayer for illness

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We lift up to you all who are dealing  with chronic illness/pain and all health issues… we ask for your divine intervention…these things can range from the invisible and barely noticeable in our lives, to leaving us bedridden or barely able to function. Lord, we pray for your healing hand to be upon everyone and  we ask for your strength to endure the adversity and difficulties in our lives. For the parents, spouses, and caregivers of those who are dealing with issues, we ask that you also give them strength when they are weary.  For those who are married, we ask for a hedge of protection about their relationships. So many marriages fail because of the heavy toll the stress caused by living with illness and disability takes on their relationships. We ask for you to draw each couple closer together through the adversity they face and we ask for you to bind the enemy from coming against them in Jesus’ name.

For the single parents and for those with no family to help, we ask that you would send  people to help support, encourage and help bear their heavy loads. We ask for your healing and comfort for all who have suffered pain from the hurtful words and judgments of others who have  no understanding of what it is like to deal with illness and disability. Please send people who understand and have hearts of compassion so they won’t feel alone and isolated. For each one in need, we ask that you would open the doors  and please bless them financially so they may receive all  the medical help, services, medications, and equipment that is needed.

Lord, you know how brief, fragile and fleeting our lives are. Life passes  like the blink of an eye. There are never enough hours in the day, except when we are full of grief… and then the days seem endless. Help our faith when it is weak. Help us to count it all joy when we face trials and adversity… may your promises to be like a life-preserver thrown to a drowning man…may they support and hold us up and help us to hold fast to the things that we’ve been taught. Lord, please sustain, encourage and build up each one here. Help them to have faith when they can’t see…help them to trust, when it doesn’t seem natural to do so. We thank you for being in our midst, Lord and we praise you and thank your for your saving grace. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Blessings be upon you!

In His love,

May our Loving God “Bless” you, Debbie, as you always have the ability to say the “perfect” words, that are so “sensitive” to our needs, and that “uplift” us, and guide us to keep the focus on “Him”, which strengthens our “faith”, and brings us to be so “grateful” and to “praise” Him who loves us and is with us every minute!!!! Thank you so much! Blessings and Prayers to you!!
