Prayer For May 3rd

May 3, 2015

prayer for hurting

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Things in life rarely turn out the way we plan. So many of us our living in circumstances that we never envisioned for ourselves…so many live with unrealized dreams or painful regrets…with life altering illness for themselves or loved ones…with changed lives due to divorce, death and loss…with things like addictions, abuse, unemployment, financial devastation…

One of the most difficult lessons we must learn is how to accept the things we can’t control or change…it can be such a struggle…we want to be in control, but we are reminded daily that we are not…Lord, we ask for help for those who are trying to learn to cope and deal with the things that are out of their hands… we pray for your comfort…for your peace…for your grace…for your wisdom…for the ability to let go and trust you and your redemptive plan…

Lord, none of us are where we would like to be, but we thank you for the things you have seen us through thus far and we praise you because you are not done with us yet…we thank you for the hope that each day brings…the promises you give us that you are constantly working on our behalf…that you are renewing us daily and even as we grow older and our bodies increasingly fail us, you do not fail and you continue to do your good work in us…we thank you because all things are possible through Christ…you still bring prodigals home, you still deliver, renew, redeem and restore… you still are doing miracles and as long as we have breath, we have hope because of Jesus.

Lord, help us to daily learn to die to ourselves…help us not to fight and struggle against you…help us to surrender to your will…help us to cling to your truth that you want only the best for us…help us to fight against the fiery darts of discouragement, doubts and fears that the enemy is constantly sending our way…help us to stand on your truth and may your Word be the solid rock beneath our feet…help us to trust the unknown future to your hands, because they are not unknown to you…we can trust you, even when everything else is uncertain…thank you for doing what we can’t Lord…thank you for using everything and wasting nothing…thank you that everything we are dealing with is working in us  things that will have eternal benefits…

Lord, please bless my friends with your comfort and peace and may they find comfort and hope knowing that things aren’t over until you say they are over and your grace abounds and is enough to see us through. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen

Praying for you always!

In His love,

Thank you Debbie, for the “Hope” that you have given to me in today’s message – as you do in every day’s prayer/message – which guides me to focus on the “Blessings” that I receive daily, which gives me “strength” to continue, and to say “Thank You” to God who makes it all possible.
Blessings and Prayers are with you! “Thy will be done”. Amen!
