Prayer For May 11th

May 11, 2015

hope for the broken hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

Help us to hunger for your Word and for fellowship with you. Help us not see prayer time and reading the Bible as a duty or obligation, but as a treasured opportunity to know you better and to spend time with You. Help us to realize what a privilege it is to own a Bible and to be able to worship freely…there are so many in the world who do not have those blessings… help us to constantly keep in mind that  our relationship with you is more important than all others…our relationship with you is more important than anything in this world…our relationship with you and how we love you…how we live for you… should always be our priority…we just have this life to prepare for eternity…may we not squander it, Lord. Help us tune out the noise of the world and all its distractions …help us to feel your hand on us… guiding us and protecting us… help us find the joy in each day, Lord…no matter what we face, there is always something to be thankful for…always something to praise you for…always something to remind us that this is not our home and nothing can compare to the joy that is coming.

Please go before us this week. We ask for you to lead and guide us in all that we do and say. Please be with those we love. Meet their needs. Help them to endure and fight the good fight. We pray for your healing hand to be upon all who are in need. We pray for your provision and the patience to wait well for your timing. We ask Lord, for you to pour your Holy Spirit upon us that we might feel your strength well up in us…draw us close to yourself and  help us to be all that you want us to be.  Help us to live each day with an attitude of gratitude and  to see the blessings in the midst of each day. We love you Lord, and we ask these things in the name of Jesus, our beloved Savior. Amen.

May the joy of the Lord be your strength!

Much love in Him,
Debbie
