Prayer For May 25th

May 25, 2015

Hello,Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

As we pray today, we want to remember all those in the military who have lost their lives…not just in the U.S., but all around the world as well. Many have been lost through the course of history in the pursuit of freedom and justice… as they protected their homelands and their loved ones…as they made a stand against tyranny and evil men. We honor their sacrifices and their willingness to do as the Bible says to “lay down their lives for a friend”. We honor their memory, their bravery, their courage and their valor…

Lord, we pray for all who are missing loved ones today. Please, fill them with your peace and comfort. May they remember happy times that will fill them with warm memories. We pray you would soothe the ache and longing in their heart’s. May they feel your nearness and your comfort today, Lord.

Father, we pray for the families who have loved ones in the military that are now deployed. Lord, it is not just soldiers that serve, it is their families as well. They do without in so many ways while their loved ones are serving. We pray they will be reunited, and we ask for a hedge of protection around those who are in harm’s way. Please watch over their family’s at home and make sure they are provided for.

We also pray for all the veteran’s who have served and have been injured or live with things like PTSD. Father, may they receive the honor they so deserve. We pray that they will be treated with dignity and respect and be provided for without cuts to any of their treatments, income or services. So many who served and protected our country are barely able to survive and provide for their families. Father, please right the wrongs and injustices.

We  know there are many reading this  who are dealing with the death of loved ones that were not lost to battle, but the day makes them miss their loved ones. We pray for all with grieving hearts and ask for your presence and peace to engulf them.

Lord, this day is not about political differences… or a time to debate if war is ever the necessary course of action… or who is right or wrong. This day is to remember the men and women who died too soon and left loved ones to mourn their loss. We look forward to the day when there will be no more war, no more pain, no more tears, no more being separated from loved ones…no more death. We thank you there will be a day with no need to protect anyone from evil or harm. We thank you for all we have to look forward to, because of all that Jesus gave. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen

In His Love,
Debbie
