Prayer For May 28th

May 28, 2015

hope for the broken hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we come to you today, we admit our great need for you…we admit we are powerless without you. Some among us find themselves battling with old feelings, hurts, fears and anger that they thought were long gone, but have been resurrected…some are dealing with sadness and depression that they thought had been under control, but now it seems worse than ever…others are struggling with health issues that have pushed them beyond what feels like their breaking point…

Lord, we call on you for your help…we cry out to you and we know that you hear our cries. You tell us in your Word that you will strengthen us, that you are with us, that you are our God and you will hold us up. You tell us to be anxious for nothing and to wait on you and to make our requests known to you…Lord, you are the lifter of our heads. You are the one that calms the stormy seas and quiets the raging winds…please calm and quiet, all that is restless and stirred up within us. Please bind the enemy. Please clean out the wounds that are reopened and heal  and bind them as only you can. You know that we are but dust…you have compassion on those who fear you, and you hurt, when we hurt…

Lord, we ask as you are collecting the tears that are being shed at this moment, that each one would feel a touch from you. We pray they would feel a release knowing that the Creator who holds  and sustains the universe, is holding  and sustaining them now.  Thank you for being our stronghold in times of trouble…thank you for being a refuge for the oppressed, weary and heavy laden…thank you that by Christ’s stripes we are healed…Lord, we ask for your Spirit to fall upon us and bring peace and relief this day. In the name of our Savior we pray. Amen

May God’s grace and mercy be upon you!

In His love,
