Prayer For June 18th

June 18, 2015

Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for your goodness and for the blessing of this day. We are  grateful  Lord, that nothing takes you by surprise. We make our plans, but so often things don’t work out the way we expect. We become frustrated or angry when things don’t come together. We become agitated by delays like endless red lights, traffic jams, or phone calls that aren’t returned. If we could only see as you do, perhaps we’d find that those delays were actually to help us…perhaps even to save our lives from some unseen accident or injury or to bring something better to us that wouldn’t be available without the delay. Help us to trust that you are in control and that you work everything together for our good and your glory.

Lord, help us to remember that you are the One who orders our days and the universe. Help us not to grumble and complain, but to praise you no matter what happens. Help us to look for signs of your hand in everything we do. May we go about our day and picture you beside us.

Father, help us to see others through your eyes. It’s so easy to be impatient with others. We get frustrated when others don’t do the things they should or when they don’t do their jobs correctly and it has an impact on us. We become irritated when people are disruptive, argumentative or rude. We can become upset when we feel our time has been wasted. Lord, truly it is hard to comprehend how you see beyond our faults and failings to how we are going to be. Life would be so much easier if we could see people the way you do. You tell us to love and pray for our enemies…please help us in this area… help us to love the difficult people in our lives. Please help us to see past the habits and traits of others that make them difficult to be around and help us to recognize your Spirit within them. Lord, we are all such works in progress. May we extend the same grace that you extend to us.

Please meet us where we are at. For those who didn’t get enough sleep…for those whose minds are going 100 miles a minute trying to figure out what to do in their difficult situations…for those who are foggy headed from grief and depression…for those who are in physical pain, or are ill..for those who have too many things to do and not enough hours in the day to do them….all of these things affect our decisions, our stress thresholds, our patience and our attitudes…but by your grace…with your help…with your peace… we can get through all we face today with a sense of calm if we cling to you. We love you Lord and we thank you and praise you. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen

Blessings, hugs and love to you all!

What a beautiful combination of words in prayer!!!! God is so wonderful!!! His words are so true – “by ‘His’ grace…with ‘His’ help…with ‘His’ peace… we can get through all we face today and everyday – this is so very very true!!!! Thank you, Debbie, and God Bless you for having this wonderful “gift” that you share with so many!!!! We are so “Blessed” to receive them, and to know we are united with them. “Trust and Accept”!!!! Amen!!!
