Prayer For June 19th

June 19, 2015

prayer for hope and help

Hello, Friends! I ‘m feeling led to re-post this prayer…

Dear Lord,

We grieve as we see the darkness that plagues the world. Evil, corruption, lack of morals, natural disasters, poverty, illness, family members turning against family members, people turning from you and Christ followers being persecuted for their faith…so many things are on the rise, Lord…and you are aware of it all… it is, as it was foretold it would be in the end of days… But we were also told, as we saw these things happening to,”look up for our redemption draws near….

Jesus, was born in the midst of dark times. There was corruption and evil then. Herod killed thousands and thousands of innocent babies out of jealousy … Christ entered the world as a sign of hope and redemption and promise of better things to come…our Messiah…our Deliverer …Our Prince of Peace and Our Redeemer…how lost we would be without Him!

Lord, we will never have the answers we seek to so many questions. Many are asking “Why?”… many are asking, “Why do you allow bad things to happen?”… we know you did not create evil or sin, … things are not as you intended them to be…but you created free will and we are free to make mistakes and harmful choices and people make bad choices that effect us. One day we will be set free from all this pain and darkness and though we don’t see everything clearly now…there is one thing we can see clearly… and that is your truth and your love… we see that you loved the world so much that you gave your Son… He was born to live, suffer and die to carry our sins and our pain… to pay a price that we couldn’t, so that if we believe, we might have eternal life…that is the truth we cling to today…that is the light that shines brightly in the darkness…the hope that drives us…Christ was born a “wanted and hunted man” by evil men…He  grew into a man who was well acquainted with  sorrow, grief and pain, so that we would have hope that one day, He would wipe away every tear from our eyes and we would hear the words…”It is finished”… No More!!! No more pain, no more death, no more poverty, no more loss, no more sickness, no more disease…no more evil and no more tears!”

We praise you, Lord for your goodness, mercy and grace.  May the hurting find you in the darkness and cling to you as their hope. In the  name of Jesus we ask these things, Amen

May the hope of Christ, fill your heart to overflowing today!

Much love in Him,
