Prayer For June 20th

June 20, 2015

Prayer From Debbie Kay

Hello, Friends. Here is today’s prayer…

Dear Heavenly Father,

You tell us to come to you as children…and we are reminded of the many things that we forget as adults. Today, Father… we ask you to help us remember the things that are so easily forgotten in the cares of life. Help us today with our perspective…

Help us to remember what it was like to be full of wide-eyed wonder at the world around us… Help us to not be in such a hurry, so we won’t miss the beauty and wonder that surrounds us. Help us to look beyond our circumstances, pain, anxiety and cares, even if it’s just for a moment… help us to appreciate the glory of your creation.

Father, we know you long to draw us to yourself and for us to have child like faith that knows that you, our Abba Father… our Daddy, will take care of us because we are your beloved children. Lord, we ask that you will help each of us to visualize being held and comforted by you and sitting and talking with you. Oh, Lord, may we long above all else, to spend time with you, to hang out with you and to talk with you…

As adults we lose our innocence…we feel responsible for taking care of things… but we really aren’t responsible Lord, you are. You are the one in control. You are the one guiding us and leading us. Give us pure hearts, Father. Help us to regain some of the lightheartedness of our youth by entrusting our lives, cares and responsibilities to you. You long for us to feel that freedom. Lord, please help us to walk in the light of your love…please dry our tears and patch up our wounds and give us your courage so we can pick ourselves up again and start over with this new day, knowing that you are watching over us and you will be there for us.

Father God, help us to picture what awaits… Spending eternity with you… Feeling your peace and joy in ways beyond anything we’ve ever known… Being filled to overflowing as we see your smile for us and being held in your loving embrace. Like a kid waiting for Christmas morning…may we be filled with that kind of anticipation when we think of you.  We know you are aware of our every need and we thank you in advance for what you are doing for us. We love you Father and we thank you that we have a Savior in whose name we can pray, Amen.

Praying you feel His peace and His joy in your heart today!

Much love in Him,
