Prayer For July 13th

July 13, 2015

prayer for peace, Debbie Kay, Hope For The Broken Hearted

Dear Lord,

We thank you for being our Sar Shalom…our source of peace…our source of contentment, wholeness and completeness…our Wonderful Counselor, our Mighty God, our Everlasting Father…our Prince of Peace.

Oh, Lord, this world is full of trials, loss and tragedies… but one day all will be made right and complete and the word “peace” will take on a whole new meaning and dimension when we are in your presence… all the things that try so hard to steal our peace will be vanquished once and for all…

Lord, we pray for all who are filled with anxiety…all who are worried…all who are fearful…Lord, we ask for your peace to fall afresh and like never before…Jesus made it possible for us to have peace that passes all understanding…Jesus gives us a way to have peace despite our circumstances…your word tells us we can have peace by thinking on what is good, what is worthy of praise, what is true and honorable, what is right and pure, beautiful and respected…help us to think on such things instead of the things and cares of this world.

We ask for healing, Lord for those who have anxiety disorders…for those who have fear and phobia disorders…for those who have OCD and PTSD…for all who have some sort of mental heath issue that makes it difficult to be free from their troubling thoughts and memories and makes finding your peace difficult…Lord, you are the great physician and we are asking you according to your will, to do what no doctor or medication can do. We reach out to touch the hem of your garment that we might receive from you…those of us who don’t deal with these things but know people who do, we lift our friends and loved ones to you, just as the friends of the paralyzed man lifted him through the roof to you…we have faith to believe nothing is too great for you, Lord and we ask for those who find it difficult to have peace because their bodies betray them, may they find peace like they have never known.

We lift up to you as well, Lord all who are in troubling situations…those who live with abuse…those who are on the streets…those who are being persecuted and victimized and live in violent situations…Lord, it’s so hard to find peace when we live in chaos…when we are in danger…when we must walk on egg shells and wait for the other shoe to drop…Lord, we pray that everyone in these difficult places will feel your nearness…we pray that they will feel your comfort…we ask for deliverance, freedom, healing and hope for them and for you to do what no one else can do…just as you opened the prison doors and set your disciples free, Lord, we ask for your protection and deliverance for all who are in need.

Lord, we pray to know you better…we pray to trust you more…we ask for your Holy Spirit to bring refreshment like a cool breeze on a warm night…Lord, there is peace in your presence and in the stillness of this moment, we humbly come before you and thank you for welcoming us with open arms…thank you for desiring to be intimately acquainted with us…we open our arms and our hearts and ask to receive from you now. Please forgive us of our sins and draw us close, Lord. In the name of our Savior Jesus we ask these things. Amen

May you find His perfect peace as your minds are fixed on Him!

In His love,
