Prayer For July 30th

July 30, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay (2)

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

We thank you for all you do for us. We thank you for being the God of miracles…you ask us to believe the unbelievable is possible…to trust what is not seen…to accept in advance what will only make sense in reverse…throughout history…throughout your Word, there are countless stories that proclaim your miraculous works…when we are tempted to doubt…when we are tempted to focus inward instead of upward…when we are placing more focus on the problems instead of on you, our problem solver, please help us to remember the miracles you performed…the Bible alone is filled with so many amazing testaments to your greatness…an army defeating an enemy by walking around the walls of a city, the parting of the Red Sea, Sarah giving birth in old age, leading your people by a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night, manna falling from the sky every day for 40 years… you look for ways to show your power and presence in our lives…please forgive us  for our doubts and unbelief…you are still doing miracles today…you just ask us to have faith and to trust…

Help us to believe in the things we can’t yet see…help us to trust when we don’t see the answers or a way…help us to trust your promise that you will never leave or forsake us when we don’t feel your presence…help us to remember that the things that are not possible for us, are possible for you…we want to be open, willing and teachable…we don’t want anything to stand in the way of receiving all that you have for us…help us to call to mind all the times you have shown up at the last minute…all the times you provided…all the times you sent someone at the right moment…all the times you delivered us and encouraged us…all the times that we thought we couldn’t make it or carry on, and yet here we are…

Please fill us with your Holy Spirit…help us to trust when you ask us to do hard things…we think of Abraham and what he must have felt as he was preparing to sacrifice his precious son…he did not understand, but He had seen you do miracles…the birth of his son was a miracle…and his experiences with you made him want to be obedient, even though he didn’t understand…help us to not fail in the times of our testing…help us to grow in faith and your grace…children often don’t understand why their parents ask them to do, or not do certain things…they are asked to trust and you ask the same of us…help us to do so willingly, Lord…we want to hear you say “well done” one day…we praise you Lord and thank you. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

May you feel His peace and presence like never before!

Much love in Him,
