Prayer For August 22nd

August 22, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay, Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We thank you that in this world of chaos and confusion, you are our beacon of hope that lights the way in the darkness. When we think of the cross, everything becomes clear…we are all sinners in need of Savior and it is by your grace we are saved…we are not saved by any actions or deeds of our own…we all fall short…none of us our perfect or able to save ourselves…but by the precious blood of our Savior Jesus, we find our identity and our salvation…

Thank you Lord for saving us… for forgiving us… for cleansing us…thank you  for transforming us and renewing our minds…thank you for making a way so  we can have a wonderful destiny in the glorious eternity that awaits…

Lord, please help us focus on the things that are important…help us to remember that only what is done for you will last…help us not waste our days…help us not to be overwhelmed as we hear and read the news…our hearts can be so grieved for all that is going on… may we be prompted to pray and intercede instead of giving into worry, anxiety or despair…

Lord, there are so many who are praying with us who are facing such painful and difficult losses and circumstances…so many who have lost loved ones…so many who have incredible financial burdens…so many who are dealing with unbearable physical pain and illnesses…you see how they are struggling to hold on… you see how they want to feel your peace…they want to trust…they want to hope…Father, we ask in Jesus’ name for you to bind the enemy and we ask for you to meet each person praying  at the place of their greatest need…oh, Father, do what we can’t…sometimes we feel so helpless when all we can do is pray…help us to remember that prayer is not a concession or a last resort…help us to remember that prayer is a great act of love we can do for our loved ones and the world at large…thank you for hearing our prayers, Lord…thank you for your comforting presence…thank you for your still small voice that let’s us know that everything will ultimately be okay and all this hard stuff will be like a vapor in the light of eternity…

We bless you and praise you, Lord…we remember the cross and all you did for us and we rejoice that death could not defeat you or keep you down and because of you we have eternal life. In the name of our beloved  Jesus we pray. Amen

Blessings be upon you friends!

In His love,
Debbie
