Prayer For August 28th

August 28, 2015

prayer from Debbie Kay, Hope For The Broken Hearted

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

As we gather together today we ask for your help in overcoming the negative voices and the things that come against us to discourage us. We know that discouragement comes from the enemy, yet too often we accept the discouragement without countering it with your truth. Help us to overcome the negatives with positives from your Word. When we feel like we are too weary, help us to remember that you will renew our strength and give us rest. When we feel like we are facing something that is impossible, help us to remember that through Christ, nothing shall be impossible and we can do all thing through Jesus.

When we feel overwhelmed, help us to remember that your grace is sufficient to see us through. When we are tempted to say, “I’m not able” help us to remember that you are… When we are confused, help us to remember where confusion comes from…it is not from you…help us to remember that you promise to give wisdom to those who ask and to direct our paths and lead and guide us.

When we are tempted to say that we are alone or that you have abandoned us, help us to remember your words to never leave us or forsake us…when we feel unloved or unwanted, help us to remember all that Christ did to  show your great love for us… when we are feeling overwhelmed by financial pressure  and we have expenses that we have no clue how we are going to find the money for… help us to trust your promises to provide for our every need…help us to replace “I can’t” with “God can.”… help us to walk in your strength, power and might and to resist the lies that the enemy is constantly whispering in our ears.

Lord, we ask at this moment to feel your peace and to view everything in light of your promises…we pray for your grace and favor to give us the energy and motivation to deal with all that is in front of us… you know everyone who is struggling with overwhelming trials and losses…Father, please fill them with your courage and may they be strengthened but by focusing on you and not the giants that are before them…everything fades and pales in comparison to you…may we feel empowered like a small child who has his big brother beside him when facing bullies…surely, you are with us and greater are you than anything we are facing…please bind the wounds, erase the fears and anxiety, calm the feelings of dread and physical symptoms of stress…help us to regain our footing as we center ourselves on you. May we face this day feeling confident that you hold the world and us in your hand and you will not fail us. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen

Praying you feel God’s power and renewed strength!

In His love,

No worries about typing errors! 🙂 Thank you for your blessing! I stand with you in praying for your family…keep standing in the gap for them, the faithful prayers of a righteous person accomplishes much! May their eyes be opened and their hearts softened towards Jesus and may the enemy be bound in Jesus’ name. Blessings and hugs to you my friend!
