Prayer For Sept. 19th

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

We come to you today and we are seeking comfort…comfort for all who are worried, fearful or full of anxiety. Lord we ask for your peace for all who are anxiously waiting to hear if their news is good or bad… we ask for comfort for everyone who is grieving. We ask for comfort for those who are heartsick over bad news they’ve received for themselves or loved ones. We ask for comfort for every family who is watching a loved one in a struggle…  for all who are dealing with health issues… for all who are missing loved ones who aren’t with them… for all the caregivers and parents who are weary, overwhelmed and need rest.

We ask for comfort, Lord, for all who are feeling lost, alone and abandoned… for all who are in a fight to hold on to their marriages…for those who are trying to cope and adapt after losses of every kind… for those who are weary from financial problems and worried for what their future holds…for those who are in spiritual battles and for those who are dealing with persecution.

Lord, we are asking for what only you can give…. we are asking and believing that you will put your arms around those who are in need so they will feel a touch from you and the Holy Spirit. Shine your light, Lord. May it warm and sustain each one from the inside out. Our hearts are your home, please take over…help us to die to ourselves so you can be resurrected in us… may we feel your strength well up in us… may we feel your courage fortify us. May we feel your peace and comfort transform our anxiety, weariness, sadness and fear as we meditate on your word today and remember that you are greater than anything we are facing…  you are for us… you are in us… you are working through us to help us stand and not falter…to help us run and not grow weary or faint…to give us the oil of joy for mourning and to bring beauty from the ashes. You are leading us beside still waters and restoring our souls.

 Father, you tell us to come just as we are…to seek you and we will find you…to call on your name, and you will answer…we are calling to you Abba Father, and raising our hands before you so we might exchange all the pains, cares and trials of this earth for your comfort, joy and peace… may we in turn comfort others, with the same comfort you give us. Lord, we thank you for hearing our prayers and for being our faithful Father. We love you Lord and we ask all these things in Jesus’ name, Amen

May you find comfort in His arms today!
