Prayer For Oct. 2nd

October 2, 2015

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you with heavy hearts…there is so much going on in the world and we need you, Lord…this world needs you more than ever… we pray for comfort for the people in Oregon…we pray for comfort for families who lost loved ones in yesterday’s tragedy… we pray for comfort for those who have been traumatized by the things they saw and experienced…we ask for comfort Lord, for people all over the world who have lost loved ones…and we especially lift up those who have lost loved ones because of their faith in you…Lord, we ask for protection for those who are being persecuted, imprisoned, tortured, held as slaves and all who are being discriminated against because they are Christ followers…Lord, please intervene as only you can…

We pray for all who are preparing for this super storm that is threatening the east coast…we ask for your mercy…may the storm  veer off course and weaken in strength…we pray for all who are dealing with the aftermath of disasters…both natural and man-made, all  around the world…so many are displaced and have lost everything… so many have lost loved ones… so many are dealing with no shelter, no food, no clean water, no medical care…so many are dealing with multiple losses and it’s hard to imagine starting over with nothing, yet that is what millions are having to do…people are experiencing trauma all over the world…it comes in many forms…

Lord, so many are hurting today…so many are fearful, not knowing what the future will hold…so many have come to the end of themselves…  they are at the place where the only way to move forward, is for you to make a way where there seems to be no way…Lord, please intervene and have compassion and mercy on your children…we pray for a hedge of protection from the evil one and from all who would try to harm your children just because they love you and follow you…Lord, we pray for an outpouring of your spirit… we ask that you would strengthen our hearts and help us to have courage no matter what we face…we pray that the eyes of people will be opened to what is going on and we ask for wisdom to know what to do…we pray for leaders and the media to quit turning a blind eye to the truth…we pray for our enemies and those who want to cause harm…we ask that their eyes will be opened  to the truth of who you are and that hate will leave their heart…we ask you to pour out your Holy Spirit once more, Lord…we pray it won’t be too late to bring revival and have an outpouring of your Spirit  so people will not perish in their sin and without knowing Jesus…

Father, you see every hurting heart…you hear every anguished cry…you hear every prayer…you see every tear…you know every need…things are unfolding as you said they would…you told us to not be afraid, but to look up as our redemption draws near…we know we are here to intercede…to share the good news that there is hope in you…you are near to the brokenhearted, you bind our wounds…you are our shelter in the storms… we pray for your grace to abound and that people will find you in their pain and in the ever-increasing darkness…may we remember that you are the light in the darkness and the darkness is not dark to you…you are greater than anything in this world…we are troubled and persecuted, but we are not crushed…we are not without hope because of  Jesus…thank you for hearing our prayers, Lord. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen

May the Lord bless you and keep you safe in His care.

In His love,
