Prayer For Oct. 20th

October 20, 2015

autumn

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

As we gather together today may our hearts echo the words found in  the Psalms…We want to wait patiently and expectantly for you Lord…  may we live with the expectation that we will  see your goodness, your grace, your mercy that you offer in abundance… we are grateful that you are our help, our shield and our strong fortress where we find refuge and safety. When we trust in you…lean on you…rely on you…and place our confidence in you, our hearts are made free… we rejoice and sing your praises … we are lifted into your presence and to your throne of grace where your loving-kindness is upon us…your peace consumes us…the troubles and cares of this world fade from view as we are filled with your Spirit and washed in your righteousness…  you are everything we hope for…our hope is in you alone…we have the  hope and the blessed assurance that because of Jesus, we can and we  will, triumph over suffering…we will triumph over the forces of evil that conspire against us…beauty will rise from the broken places of our lives as we are healed and restored by the precious blood of our Savior…Lord, may we live the things we say we believe and settle for nothing less than your best…

You tell us to not fear…you tell us to cast our burdens upon you…you tell us to be anxious for nothing because your eye is upon us and you know our needs before we ask…you do not casually tell us to do this things…you are not suggesting we do these things if we feel like it…you tell us to do them because you want us obey, because you know what is best for us…you know what we are capable of through you…you want us to live spiritually victorious lives…you want to show your power and strength in our weakness…you are the potter, we are the clay and we are vessels made in your likeness and you long to pour your power and strength into us…you delight in lavishing your love upon us…we were made to follow in Christ’s footsteps and to live each day with joy in our hearts because He is risen and  because we are His, and He is ours and nothing can separate us from His love…

Lord, we submit our will to yours… we surrender our desires and our visions of how we think things should be… we ask that your will be done in our lives…we pray you will be glorified in the midst of our circumstances…we pray to receive your blessings and all that you have for each of us…we ask for your anointing upon us that we may have your Holy Boldness to live the life that you have planned for us…please don’t let us miss out on anything because we are too busy looking at the wrong things or in the wrong direction…help us to be disciplined and determined so we may live up to the potential you see in us…help us to grow closer to you with each passing day. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen

Blessings be upon you!

In His love,
Debbie

I am so “Blessed” to have read this beautiful prayer!!! Thank you, Debbie, for your words of “love” and “guidance” to depend on God, who “blesses” us with “you”!! May your day be peaceful, and may you be “Blessed”!!! p.s. there was no “link” to post the “comment”, so I wrote it here!!! You are just so amazing, and so “gifted” with the ability to write and express God’s love, and words that describe how I may feel (or others) as I go through “this valley”…..and with words that encourage and just give “hope”, strengthening my “faith” every time!!! Thank you, so much, Debbie, and God Bless you, Rita
