Prayer For Oct. 24th

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you, Lord for the blessing of waking up today. Lord, we ask for your  help so we do not lose sight of you…help us to see your hand and your intervention in our lives… help us to not grow cynical or calloused by all that is going on in the world…help us to seek your will and your purpose and not our own…help us to see your light in the darkness and to remember that you have overcome the world.

Lord, we know we will fail and fall short in this life…we think of Peter and how he was privileged to see Christ transfigured, and yet even after seeing something so miraculous,  in his humanness he still denied Christ… if men who had walked and talked with Jesus and saw His miracles and even Christ resurrected were able to fall so short, we know we will disappoint ourselves and you… Lord, we ask for help to do better and to be better… we are not how we’d like to be, but we know that you are not through with us yet…we know we are not where you found us and you will continue your work in us until you call us home…we thank you for your mercy and forgiveness…we thank you for your patience and your amazing grace…we thank you for loving us just as we are, but never stopping your work in us and transforming us  to become more like Jesus…

Help us to not become worn down by the world…help us to not lose our sense of wonder and innocence… help us to remember your words that no one has seen, no one has heard, no one has conceived what you have prepared for those who love you… Lord, may we be filled with joy, anticipation and hope when we remember such glorious promises… may your words help us to rise above affliction and adversity…help us to see the good, before the bad… may we see with your eyes and love with your love….not as if we are ignorant or as unwise, but to believe and hope the best as you do…to believe in the power of prayer, and that you are still on the throne…that you are still in charge and still doing miracles…help us to have faith that believes that all things are possible through you and things aren’t over until you say they are over…help us to grow in your knowledge and grace and to spread the hope and good news of Jesus to everyone around us…increase our faith, Lord that we might please you and be all that you have called us to be. We love you Lord and we give you all praise, glory and honor for all you have done,for all that you are,for all that you are doing still. In the name of our Savior Jesus we pray. Amen
